16 Acres Park in Mililani, Oahu, Hawaii...I didn't know where 16 Acres Park was - even though I was born and raised on the Island of Oahu... lol! Why?Maybe because I hardly go to Mililani; my family doesn't live there; and I don't play soccer or basketball. Haha!I googled 16 Acres Park because I was supposed to meet someone there to pick up a gigantic prize package that I had won on Instagram. I gave them my phone number so they could text me when they arrived at the park after they finished work in Waialua. I used GPS to find Makaunulau Community Park (AKA 16 Acres Park) and parked near the restroom where there was a sign with the park's name. I texted a photo of the restroom to the contact person and they weren't familiar with this area of the park! I stated that there was no parking lot... and I saw a baseball diamond right in front of me and basketball courts far away. Eventually, she found me (I don't even know her name), and she helped me put all of the prizes in my car! Haven't had the issue of needing to use the bathroom while on the playground & basketball court side yet. But it will be a hassle to hold it and either walk to the bathroom across the park or simply drive there. I'm not fond of public restrooms so it's best to hold it til I get home. TMI, but let's be honest here. Those would be my plans..but for the kids sake, yikes! Playground is nice but located towards the corner with only a fence to block kiddos from running to the parking lot but definitely will not stop them from running on the road.. It could use some improvements: fenced off playground and a bathroom facility closer to the parking lot side. However, yes obviously parents should keep an eye on the kiddos at all times and not play the darn PoGo game. Nonetheless, my family and I will always choose to frequent this park the most. Very spacious, ample parking, and a great place to teach my son how to ride a bike.

AKA 16 acres to Mililani locals. Great open park with lots to offer. Basket ball court, kids play ground, public bathroom and I'm assuming 16 acres of field to run around on. There's lots of parking and also good amount of trees for some shade. My family and I visit this park quite often, at least a couple times a week and we always have space to park. On the field we are able to play football or soccer and let our dog play catch. Daddy can play basketball with the boys while we play on the kids play ground. We also frequent this park on random occasions for Pokemon go play. The playground is an EX raid gym so it's a popular spot for PoGo players as well. There's also a Pokestop near the bathroom btw. Overall an awesome spot to get physical with the family weather it be with sports, play ground, pets or catching your favorite digital pocket monsters (and still being able to spin stops for items).

This Park served it's purpose for a quick picnic and toddler playground day. However, we probably wouldn't come here often because the bathroom facilities are quite far away from the basketball court and the playground. This is a problem if you are the parents of young children. The neighborhood is nice. It seems safe. Times grocery store and other restaurants are close by if you're packing a picnic.

My friends and I often gather here for casual football games/picnics on the weekends. As long as there isn't a huge tournament or anything going on, it's a really great, quiet place to hang out at. We usually set up at one of the tables near the road and stay for a couple hours or so. It's usually breezy and can sometimes get a bit cold especially during the winter/spring (duh, Tiff). I love that there's big trees near the tables, which provide shade without having to worry too much about birds pooping :DThe bathroom isn't very clean, but what can you expect from a community park bathroom, right?Aside from the big grassy area, there's a baseball diamond, basketball courts (closer to the entrance), and a playground for the kiddies. Located in Mililani is the Makaunulau Community Park, or, "16 acres". Large park with a basketball court, playground (slide, monkey bars etc), restrooms, and more than enough green grass for soccer games, flying kites, or letting the dogs run around. There are many soccer games that go on (weekdays and weekends). Huge parking lot and there's tons of street parking when the soccer games are going on.We've taken the nieces here to play on the playground and to ride around on their Power Wheelers. My BF likes to bring all his RC cars here and we race each other... pretty fun!The bathrooms are pretty clean and there are several garbage cans to throw away all your rubbish. The park is well kept and very clean. On the back side of the houses is "10 acres"... where baseball games are held. The park is great for kids, animals, and familes!

I believe this park is also called "16 Acres." Atmosphere:Available Activities:Basketball - A couple courts for a few games.Playground - Something to do for the younglings.Soccer Field - About 4 available soccer fieldsSoftball/Baseball Field - Could be so much better. The diamond on this field still has its shape. Misc. - The outfield of the softball/baseball fields, I've seen, can be used for other sports, such as: Soccer, Volleyball, and possibly whatever comes to mind that needs grass.Restrooms:OkayParking:This park provides its own patron parking, but it is located at one side of the park. Street parking is also available.

Nice neighborhood, plenty parking including street parking, love the cool winter winds even though I'm sitting in the sun. There is a rest room but I've never had to use it so I can't say much about that.

My review is focused on the playground which is right by the street. It is extremely dangerous considering that I have a toddler who still does not understand the dangers of an oncoming vehicle. Any caring parent would see how important a fence would be for their children's safety. Otherwise the park is spacious for sports and has been clean every time I've stopped by.
