Makani Hawaii Jewelry

I was looking forward to visiting Makani Hawaii Jewelry prior to my vacation. I had previously completed my wish list of items I would be sure to buy including the Hawaiian scroll half moon silver earrings and other plumeria studs for my family and colleagues. Since I was vacationing and staying right across the street, it was sure a place I would be visiting. It would also be the highlight of my day! When I entered, there was no greeting or acknowledgement of my presence. A simple "hello" would have been appropriate. I made my way to the earring case and proceeded to ask a few questions regarding their current stock and items I was wishing to get. I also wanted to inquire about the discoloration about one plumeria stud and the response was rude and unhelpful. Rachel, the cashier replied with, "it's silver, it does that sometimes". I asked about items from their website and Rachel, again, continued to be short and unhelpful with her response, "yeah, what we have on the website is different". She continued to explain that she would need to visit their warehouse to extract those items and would take 30+ minutes. During this time, another customer entered and Rachel stopped offering me any further help. She greeted them and stood up, walked over to them and offered helpful information about the items they needed. Her customer friendliness and support was extremely different than that of which she offered me. Overall, to finalize this review, I'd like to offer some suggestions if you plan on visiting this jewelry store. Request to do business with the owner and not Rachel. Unfortunately, although their silver jewelry is quite stunning and I did purchase some of the items I wished to find, it was not the experience I hoped to have. Rachel, please;1. Greet your customers,2. Stand up and walk over to see if they need help instead of sitting around drinking your coffee. 3. Offer some suggestions about the discoloration of the items like free cleaning when purchased instead of your own unnecessary thoughts. 4. It does not matter who walks in the shop, you treat everyone with the same service and respect. Overall, I do plan on returning and do hope to see some of these modifications made to your customer service skills.

I love this place, this is where I buy all my jewelry, AuthenticHawaiian. I highly recommend checking Makani out when in Hawaii. I've had my necklaces for many years and wear them almost daily, and they are still in great shape. I get compliments on them all the time and asked where I bought them. I've given many as gifts and they are always a hit.

I ordered a black tungsten ring with koa wood inside for my husband. The ring came fast and was well packaged. It looked like the pictures online. However, after a few times wearing the ring the wood insert came out. He works an office job so it's not that he was hard on the ring or anything like that. I have emailed several times and called only to get an answering machine. No return email on how to get a replacement or refund for my $100. If they would just provide a call back with how I can get a new ring or how they plan to remedy the problem I would have given them a much higher rating. Like I said, the ring looks nice and it arrived quickly. Customer service brings this business way down and unfortunately they will lose a customer over it

I found the shop while on vacation and looking for wedding bands for my fiancé. We ordered it after getting home, and ordered too large. We shipped it back for an exchange, no questions asked, and it was too big again! I went with my fiancé to get him sized properly this time. We keep coming back because he loves the style, the product is high quality, and feels very solid. TONS of products to choose from, but the customer service is top notch, so I'm looking for bridal party gifts now too :)

We ordered a wedding band off of their website. It came relatively quickly and was packed securely, and the ring is beautiful. But it is the wrong size - and after emailing their help several times through their website about my order, I have gotten no response at all. Would not order from again.

Says items are heirloom hawaiin but after my ring broke I investigated and found her items to be fake KOA manufactured in China.
