Makaha Ohana Market

Located on the corner of Makaha Valley and Farrington Highway. Pop in and grab a plate lunch from the kitchen in the back, pick up a 50# bag of ice (won't melt fast like the stand alone ice machines) and check out their snack section. Oh, did I mention they've got ono pupu containers ready to go? Ps: they started selling one of my favorite bourbons: Blanton's.

My instructions were, "Brent, go out and get beer - but you must bring back Modelo Especial, you are the only one capable of this task!"So I did a Yelp search for "beer" and found this place (the first place I found didn't have Modelo Especial, so I kept driving).I must say, the clientele in this place were quite "interesting" and "full of character" to say the least. If I had the time, I would have probably hung out for hours just to be entertained. All of the beer freezers were locked and you have to request access - and for good reason - really sketchy people from the beach across the street.They also have a decent selection of grocery items if you need to pick up something quick.#WestSideIsTheBestSide

Small market that you can buy household items, beverages, beer, hard liquor, bags of ice, and some food items. All items are manually punched in by prices which the employees have to memorize. Watch out the workers may overcharge you on a single small bottle Gatorade. It's priced at $1.49 and the workers want to charge an extra 30¢ to 50¢ on it. Workers say it's 2 for $3.00 sale for this month but I did not see a sign for it.The owner of the market is friendly. Some of the other workers are friendly as well while other employees are stone faced. There has been a lot of different faces working in the store and not many of them can keep their position.

Great squid salad , seaweed salad and the spicy poke at the deli . Bought some fresh taro bread and headed our to the beach . Lots of locals ship here , so no worries , everyone is friendly

They have everything here! Looking for snacks , jewelry, ,liquor , and house household stuff like toilet paper laundry soap, they even have grocery items in the back of their store.. they've got it all

This store is nothing out of the ordinary, and it has nothing too appealing to brag about. It kinda has that "swap market" feel. We went shopping here in search of dinner to grill. The store carried poorly packaged fish that leaked on my hands when I picked it up. The fish juice gave my fingers an aroma I would soon not forget. The smell was so strong, it would make a starving seagull turn and run. We eventually found some items to work with, and the cashier was extremely friendly.

Relatively large store on the way to Yokohama Bay. It is located in a strip mall in Makaha.Clean and well organized. Much better than 7-11 stores.
