Makaha Beach Park

Well, what can you say about Makaha - great surfing great place to be. The evening, a great place to bring a lady and watch the sunset.

Such a beautiful beach located on the west side oh Oahu. As you drive down to makaha you will reach a small little bridge, the beach will be on the left side of the road. There's a small parking lot across of the beach, or find street parking. Also located across the street are restrooms and showers. Just remember to pick up after yourself when you leave. Leave the space better than what it was before you got there.

Beautiful stretch of beach with plenty of parking, bathrooms, and showers. The bathrooms we're pretty disgusting, but otherwise, it was the perfect place to spend the day splashing in the water with my kids. We enjoyed watching the surfers and snorkelers.

Located on the west side of Oahu, and I mean far west, this beach is a gem. The drive is worth it. Plenty of parking available just off the highway. The beach is a great place for kids and families. The kids love the waves and the clear water is refreshing for a nice swim. It's pretty sunny though and lacks shade but that's what tents and umbrellas are for. Plenty of space so you don't feel too crowded. It's a true local favorite beach. The view of the mountains and the ocean make this a great beach to spend the day at.

Beautiful place to stop and take in the view and dip the old toes in the sand. It's needing minor clean up from people leaving trash.

Although it SUPER far from town, I love going to this beach. It has a bathroom and shower nearby. I like that the water is clear and there are barely any tourists. I almost don't want to write this review because it might attract more tourists. If it's packed, parking is hard, but if you go off peak, there is almost always parking.

Stunning sunrises and sunsets, beautiful clean beaches, and less commercialization. The further you drive westward, the more pristine, natural, and isolated the beaches become; the waves are awesome and scary much of the time.

Beautiful beach setting great for waves! The water is more active here so if you want a calm beach I wouldn't recommend it for that but it's great for boogie and skim boarding, just sitting with the waves, or surfing of course!
