the interior of a restaurant
Drink prices are not listed so FYI... The weak Mai Tais are a whoppin $17 per pop! Not worth it!
Piña Colada
Kalua pork nachos--pretty amazing
They have good gin.
Blue Hawaii

My sons half of sandwich.
a tall drink with a pineapple garnish
Tangy Chicken Wings 11.69
Nachos...amazing!
Mai tai--yummy and refreshing, although a little weak on booze
Drinks are quite tropical, and can't taste the alcohol, but you can sure feel it when you get up to pee.

The beer is cold and in my book that's a plus

Sorry for not being able to hack up their already low Yelp star status!Drink prices are not listed so FYI... The weak Mai Tais are a whoppin $17 per pop! Not worth it! Nachos were terrible too... Desperate... No other options for Island Air connecting flights when you're island hoppin! This is my second time here and kicking myself twice as hard for not bringing snacks.Service is terrible and the food is less than mediocre!Come on Hawaii! No fish on the menu!Drinks are a rip off and you have a prime location! Couldn't get a water unless it was rung up and got scolded for not having the audacity to request one! Server was nice but clueless...Pack some macadamia nut nuts and mini bottles of vodka if you are spending any time at the Island Air terminal.

Haha! I have no idea why I am giving this place five stars...but since it is your only choice in the commuter terminal, it is always a welcomed find before you head out to your next inter-island getaway! This is more like a "local bar" that you would find out in town but some how got lost at the airport. The severs and bartenders that work here are chill. Not like the places you see at the main terminal. It is a more relaxed attitude. People are not in a rush running from security check point to their gate...because this terminal is so small that everything is in one big room! The drinks here are great! Their prices are more down to earth! You can actually buy a Mai Tai for $10 instead of the $15 you would expect to pay in the other terminal. If you sit at the bar, expect to watch some retro movies or sci-fi! There are plenty of tables in the lounge area adoring pictures of tropical drinks on the wall. They do serve food. Pretty much your standard bar food. I have not eaten any food there yet, but what I did see other people eating looked pretty good.Another thing that is great about this place, it is never busy! You can always find a seat! :-)

Limited food options, but let's be honest: it's a bar. Pretty decent-size cocktails to get you all set for your flight.Times visited: 1

It is common sense that the quality of airport food is never quite up to par (even while in Paradise), so I have no real excuses for coming here.. Except that after a long flight, and choosing to turn down any food service on the long flight because I wanted to drink instead. So I was quite famished.. My Mai Tai was very sugary and artificial, and my pulled pork was very dry and unfortunate. I will have to remember to sharpen my teeth next time, if I were to ever encounter this pulled pork again..

Mahalo Bar, oh were do I start. The food here was Mediocre at best, at this airport unless you want to starve you have to eat here since it is the only restaurant. The atmosphere is bland and dull. But ok, I was going to give it 2.5 stars, until we got the bill, for my family of 4 it cost $80 for Mediocre food! And the Mai Tai cost $17! The Menu is also very tiny with little options. Overall eat before you come to this airport

Just encountered the worst waitress ever. Moved to the bar and salvaged the situation.

Incredibly grumpy and rude bartender. I asked the waitress if I could get a water bottle filled after we ordered our food. She said to go to the bartender. I did and he said go to the drinking fountain outside. I told him that the waitress said he would fill the water bottle and he said he was too busy and to go to the drinking fountain. I asked the waitress if she has to share tips with him and she said she does. I truly despise rewarding rude behavior and grumpy people but I left her an average tip just because I didn't want to penalize her for the bartender's rudeness.

Mahalo Bar is found at the Honolulu Airport in the older terminal where the prop planes fly out of connecting Oahu with the other islands. Stepping into there is like stepping back in time. The majority of the patrons were old couples made up of a guy named Dougie his wife Bunny. Old Hawaii hands if it were in the pursuit of leisure. Sprinkled among them were surfers who were now too hip for something old like the North Shore and now they were on a quest to find a new perfect spot to surf. I half expected to see Hunter S. Thompson there around the time he was writing the Curse of Lono. The bar's decor was something out of the late '70s with vinyl stools to match the ambiance. Sadly, the side door to the street was blocked off. I suppose because of all that post 9-11 bull crap. Who'd want to attack a sleepy old terminal like this? The beers were a good size with various imports and domestics on tap. Not surprising the place sold a sundry of large tropical drinks to warm the palates of visiting haoles. When I saw the place, I thought "Go for it." After all with flying you never know if each flight will be your last. There I sat, a refuge from my family, hoping vainly that the go! airlines jet was out of service and we would have to fly on their single engined Cessna Caravan and get a better view of where we were going...

Worst experience I have had in Hawaii. Waitress ignored us as we sat for several minutes as only a few tables were taken. As more people came in she waited on them on the spot and still did not acknowledge us, even though we spoke to her as we came in. Two more groups came in and she addressed them ASAP but not our table. We were going to leave no other place to go. She finally took our order. Selected a "Premium" rum drink that the waitress said had double shot of rum. $17 bucks for drink, and if it had any rum at all I would be shocked. Asked the bar tender and he said it had the rum. No way. If you get a drink here watch them make it! If I could give less than one star I would.
