after seeing so many of my friends post about this spot over the years, i made it my MISSION to finally check this place out. the spot is underground, which might be a little confusing to find. super easy walk if you're staying on the strip! the food was PHENOMENAL!!!ambiance (3/5) no seating inside the store but there is limited seating nearby. food (5/5)loved my Chirashi and the add-ons of ikura, scallop, and uni. nothing tasted fishy at all and this meal was the highlight of the trip :)service (5/5)despite the long line, we only waited about 15 mins in line on a saturday (got there at 5:30) and another 20 mins to get our food. they were all super friendly.i give it 5 stars because the food is just that good and worth waiting in line for :)

A typical tourist trap in a food hall. My go-to fish place was closed so I tried Maguro Bros since it gets hyped up a lot. The line was pretty long at around 5:10 pm on a Wednesday. I stood in line for 25 minutes, ordered (staff member was friendly), and waited another 20 minutes, so 45 total, for my food. When I picked up my order I had to remind the person about my drink order. The price of about 20 bucks for a small amount of fish on a little bed of rice is ridiculous. You can get much better quality AND quantity at Tamura's for half the price. I'm glad I tried it in case I was missing out on something good, but won't be back. I'm sure the line of tourists waiting for mediocre poke will be just as long tomorrow.

More like 4.5. The food is simple and straightforward, allowing the quality of the fish to shine. And shine it does. The ahi is excellent, soft and buttery and locally caught. Not much atmosphere as the restaurant is a takeout standing the basement of a mall. There's a decent amount of seating but taking your meal to a park and enjoying the scenery is a great option. Best of all, the prices are among the most reasonable I've seen here so far.

This restaurant is a bit hidden from the streets. You have to walk down some steps then into a building with a bunch of small eateries. You'll see them right at the front as soon as you enter the building. The rest of the eateries were pretty slow, so there were many tables and chairs to sit around the area, which was nice. It seems they only open 6 days/wk, 3h/day. They open their doors at 5pm, and there is usually already a line waiting at the door.I ordered the king salmon combo, and it tasted very fresh. The poké was fresh too. Lots of white rice compared to the salmon. Ginger was very little. A bit pricey for what you get, but the fish were very fresh The lady at the counter was also very friendly. We did have to wait a bit for our orders....

For the price, the fish was good. We even added 4 orders of uni and it was fresh. You can order online for pickup and we bypassed the long line, went straight to pay and were out of there in less than 5 minutes. Would return if in the mood for sashimi.

The first thing I eat in Hawaii is always poke!Even if you don't like raw fish, I would still highly recommend trying poke! The fish here is so fresh and you can really taste the great quality in the flavor and the texture. Since we stayed in Waikiki, we stopped by here for the first time! We got their spicy mayo ayo ahi bowl for $12.94, Hawaiian limu ahi bowl for $12.94, and sashimi 20-piece with the chutoro upgrade for $30.95z. In terms of seasoning and flavor, I noticed it was a bit lighter so you can taste the quality of the fish which I didn't mind at all. The limu gives everything a nice crunch, and the sashimi plate had a nice variety such as tako, hamachi, ahi and salmon.I think the prices were reasonable and pretty affordable for the portion and quality! It's definitely a must stop if you're walking around Waikīkī, and want a legit poke bowl! They opened around 5pm when we went last Thursday, and it was pretty busy. Add this to your list of poke places to try the next time you're in Oahu!

Super fresh fish. Happy that this location is closer to Waikiki than before. I got here like 20 minutes before opening and was first in line. The line got super long after me so I got lucky. I got the spicy poke here and it was super fresh. I also got my family a sashimi plate and they were super impressed with how fresh it was along with the price. This place is definitely worth the hype and if you are staying Waikiki I highly recommend!

Came here to order takeout - busy street with limited parking so my partner waited in the car & I went in to order. Ordered a medium sashimi platter with a chutoro upgrade + scallop. This came out to $72 for 40pc sashimi + 2 scallop which was a fantastic price for the quality. Very fresh & we enjoyed every piece Can't wait to come back next time I'm in Waikiki

Surprisingly this wasn't my favorite poke experience! We got 3 different pokes to try, all from their recommendation list. Our favorite by far was the spicy mayo (#21), then #22 and finally #23. Fish tasted fresh (though I'm probably not the best judge of that) and the flavors were all as advertised, but I found myself getting bored of my plate after just a few bites. I also found the rice to be dry and not that enjoyable to eat with the fish. If I were to go back, I'd probably order one of the bowls over sushi rice. Long line that didn't move as quickly as I would have hoped, but I understand that this is just a sign of how popular they are! If you love poke then maybe worth visiting this place given how much people rave about it. Otherwise, I don't think this is a must-visit while in Oahu. They can sub out your rice for greens instead for a couple dollars.
