Remember all those sticker pictures you, or your asian friends had? The ones that inevitably wound up in some dark corner becuase it was impractical to actually use them? Or the Polaroid i-zone? Which was a cool concept, but expensive for really low quality? Magnetic Moments sort of solves all of that! It's an instant photo to magnet service available for events. You get your picture taken with a fancy SLR camera, then have your magnets printed while you enjoy your event. You can always circle back and pick up your magents at the end of the event!I think two things impressed me the most. First, the magnets. The Time Magazine magnet I had at home was about the thickness of two business cards, including the printed paper part. Magnetic Moments was at least double in thickness. (I would love to post a pic comparing thickness but I'm sort of fail at getting my camera to take micro pics. . . hence why my close up food pics turn out blurry. . .) I was also surprised by the variety of styles they offer. Check out their facebook page for a sample of what they offer! http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Honolulu-HI/Magnetic-Moments/341145462943I highly recommend for any special events you might be planning!

We had magnetic picture favors at our wedding and our guests loved them! The magnets were a big hit and our guests thought it was such a neat idea because they'd never seen anything like it before. The staff from Magnetic Moments were also very professional and were able to discreetly take pictures of our guests during the beginning of our reception. Within an hour or two they had already turned the pictures into magnets for our guests to take home. They took a tons of pictures and provided a copy on a CD for me and my hubby to keep. Their prices are also great. Photobooths are charging from $1,200 and up. You'll pay less than half of that and you'll have something unique for your guests. We bought the package that provides at least 200 pictures and it was about $550. We also liked it better than the photobooth because our guests didn't have to stand in any lines; the photographers came to them. Although it's fun to take a picture in a booth, I think our guests enjoyed receiving the magnets, especially since they didn't know they were getting them. We loved Magnetic Moments. It's an original idea, cost friendly, and the staff are super easy to work with.

When I first heard about this company, I though: Really?! Wow! So novel! So, basically Magenetic Moments comes to your special event and then, like an awesome photographer, they capture all those awesome moments, silly faces, group shots for your guests - and then magnetize it ON THE SPOT! They take it like a Polaroid picture!I've been to some Yelp events where they had photobooths and you step in to take a series of pics of yourself and your friends making silly faces and then you get a photostrip of your antics. Well, this is even better because, unlike those photostrips, which are undoubtedly awesome but tend to also get lost in my black hole of a purse, these are MAGNETS and you can stick them everywhere! I HAD to get my hands on this product to see for myself so I got some samples from the business owner, and here's what I noticed:+ HEAVY: They use heavier magnets that feel much more solid than other ones you randomly might get in the mail from random companies. That's good quality material right there.+ GOOD QUALITY PICS: The quality of the pictures is good, and I was very happy with it!+ CUTE DESIGNS: You can check it out on their website, but there's a ton of different custom designs you can choose for your personalized magnets. They're very accommodating! So, they bring their equipment to your special occasion of choice, set up shop, and then all your guests can take a bajillion photos of themselves, commemorated in magnet form. They're like a party favor + photographer all wrapped up in one! Awesome! The pricing is also very affordable, and they've been giving out discounts lately too. They're also one of the few companies in the US (and the only one in Hawaii, where they're based) that's currently doing this, so it's definitely unique. So, I'm definitely happy with the cute and fun samples I got from them. A great new concept, and a fun way to make your party even more fun and memorable for your guests. Oh! And you'll also be supporting a local business started by two twenty-something female entrepreneurs! In conclusion: Novel. Memorable. Fun. I dig.

I hired these people after determining that the space for my wedding reception would be quite cramped and wouldn't fit the traditional 'photo booth'. Kimberly and her team were very nice. They had great customer service and well received my husband's own artwork for our magnet frame. They arrived on time and were very friendly with taking unlimited pictures and giving us the CD of all the pics at the end. But here is my gripe. We had 100 guests, about 80 adults and 20 kids. Our package included 200 magnets and 8 free ones when she found out I was a Yelper. 208 magnets total. More than enough for each of our guests to take home a magnet. During my reception, I walked around to chat with people and asked them if there were having fun and they showed me their magnets. Some of them had multiple pictures of the same pose, but the pose included 1) one looking the wrong way, 2) one person with their eyes closed, 3) one person not even ready to take the shot, and 4) the 'good' shot. Much to my dismay, Magnetic Moments printed every single shot! So the three whack shots, not only did they print them, they printed them in duplicate! So instead of taking 4 pictures and printing the BEST one (in duplicate), they printed all FOUR shots, in duplicate, yielding 8 magnets, 2 of which were worth 'putting on your fridge' and the other 6 wasted. I walked around and more people showed me the same issue... Multiple shots of whack pictures and then duplicate magnets printed. HUH?!? If I knew that they would just be printing the 'first 200 magnets', irregardless of how whack the picture looked, I would have had requested someone from my family sitting behind their computer and picking the best shots to be printed to get the best 200 magnets. However, no one is back there doing quality control of what gets printed, hence the 3 shots, duplicated into magnets, that no one wants to keep as a picture, what more making into a magnet to put up on their fridge. It made me quite angry and in fact, if I knew that, I probably wouldn't have hired these people. Nice as they were, I'm paying for QUALITY magnets, not just random photos to make their 'number of magnets' count. Here are some words of advice for your future/potential magnet customers:1) If you take more than one shot of the same pose, pick the best shot and print that magnet, not every shot you took and it get taken against the magnet count.2) If someone blinked, don't print it.3) If it's off centered, don't print it.4) If it's an action shot and it doesn't look right in a magnet frame, don't print it.5) If it's not a good picture, it won't make a good magnet, don't print it.6) If you can look at the magnet and say 'I wouldn't put this on my fridge!", don't print it! It's just very sad that I ordered 200 magnets and of all the magnets, only about 120 of them are quality magnets. At almost $4 per magnet, I expected better quality. Would I recommend them to a friend? Not at this point. I even have people asking me why MM printed a magnet of a photo that wasn't a good picture? What do I say to that? Definitely not a magnet they want to keep as a souvenir so definitely not a magnet they would want to post on their fridge for everyone to see. The team needs to have better quality control of the magnets they are printing (as well as cutting, why were some of the other magnet edges bleeding into other magnets? It seemed rushed!) and not just try to shoot the first 200 out. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have hired them for my wedding. Definitely not worth the money paid for, wasted money for a bunch of pointless magnets, or what my friends call "duplicate and bootsy ones". The only good thing is, the photographer stays and takes candid pictures for the duration of the time you have them. So while my 208 magnets had printed out their max, the photographer kept on shooting pics for the duration of the hired time. They included those pics in my CD that they gave me at the end of the night. Another bummers because those pics came out better then the pics they took at the beginning of the night and made into magnets.Looking back with 20/20 hindsight, I would have opted for a photobooth.

I recently went to a cousin's baby's one year birthday party... and you know how what that means in Hawaii? It means BIG party with 'ono kine grindz, and tons and tons of uncles, aunties, cousin's cousins, and their grandmas. I was very stoked with the party favor I received... it was the first time I've seen anything like it! It was a magnet with a picture of my boyfriend and me. The border of all the magnets at this party had a picture of that Japanese Domo character - the party theme, as well as a picture of the birthday boy!Kim did a great job with getting excellent quality pictures of everyone. Everyone was so surprised near the end of the party to see that their pictures were already printed on magnets, and ready to take home. What a fantastic idea for a party favor - I've still got mine stuck to my refrigerator. I highly recommend Magnetic Moments to anyone looking for a unique gift to give their party guests.

We hired Magnetic Moments for my son's 1st birthday party and I LOVED them! The party had about 400 guests and I know EVERYONE had gotten at least 1 magnet, if not more! They went above and beyond my expectations (and trust me, they are high)! We were always in constant contact with one another, changing the design, altering here and there to the EXACT design I wanted. NEVER once did I feel as though I was bothering them or it was a hassle. They told me that they wanted it to be as perfect as I imagined. They got it nailed down to a T. All three ladies were very professional and super nice at the event. It's like everywhere we looked, they were there capturing the moment. What an awesome coverage! As busy as I was, they made sure that I got a family portrait taken so I had a keepsake. It was absolutely beautiful! As a part time party planner, I would definitely recommend this to all my clients. Seriously one of the best people/companies that I have worked with (I've dealt with hundreds of companies).

Magnetic photos favors were a hit at my grandson's 1st b-day. Jonathan helped me with the template for my grandson's Finding Nemo theme b-day. It turned out perfect. The guests had fun participating in taking pictures and were able to take home a photo magnet to keep to remember the special event.

We used Magnetic Moments to help celebrate our baby's first birthday. We worked with their designer to create a custom border that matched the party theme! The border really made the photos extra special. And they nailed it in the first try!

When I was a kid, I love love LOVED looking at those pictures of myself on Splash Mountain/Tower of Terror/Riddler's Revenge/whatever. You know, the ones where I'm scared out of my freaking mind and everyone else in my family is looking at me and laughing. Problem, though: at $20 a pop, there was no way my mom was going to let me buy that embarrassing/awesome pic of myself. Magnetic Moments brings all the joy and wonder of those amusement-park instaphotos to your next event. They take photos at your event, print them out quick-like, and put them up on an end-of-Splash-Mountainesque photo board. Then, you can take them home and display them on your fridge--and no, they're not $20 a pop!The magnets are nice, thick, high-quality magnets (not like the cheapo things from your local realtor's office) and are also great for wedding invites/save the dates, birth announcements, party favors, and all sorts of good stuff. And by the way, if you've ever been to an event where there's a fat old dandruffy photographer guy creepily making you and your leggy friends pose for pics, know that MM IS NOT LIKE THAT! Instead of fat old dandruffy guys, you get my photo-obsessed friend Kim, who (a) takes more pics than any other person on earth (so presumably, she knows what she's doing), and (b) is a friendly young lady who looks like one of your friends and won't ruin your party atmosphere (unlike the dandruffy old-dude photog who looks like your second-cousin-who-lives-in-mom's-basement).

What an awesome concept! Not your typical photo booth experience, something different... Capturing your event on a photo magnet! I now have about 10 magnets from our son's 1st birthday party on my refrigerator! It was so much fun to grab a friend, grab a prop, and create a memory! I hired them for my son's 1st birthday party, but I could imagine it would be great at weddings, class reunions, etc...
