Hundreds of people waiting in line because we all thought the event started at 10am.

Best day ever! I read others' complaints about timing and parking but I didn't have the same problems. We arrived in the parking line around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The outer lot got filled while we were in line, so they diverted us to the dirt lot near the event entrance. After parking, we waited in line for admission, and we finally got in around 11:30 a.m. It was packed, and a lot of vendors had huge lines. This was my first time attending the event, but I thought everything was great. They had a good selection of vendors and a variety of products. The food in the food section wasn't all Disney themed, but of course, I only ate the Disney themed food. LOL!After lunch we went back to shop more. By this time, the lines and the crowds had cleared out. I went back to a few booths that had been busy and crowded before lunch. I was able to buy all the items I wanted. By the end of the day, we bought a lot of things for us and for gifts. I look forward to going to the next event!P.S. If the event organizers read this, it would be great to have more vendors who sell Star Wars and Marvel items. I felt the majority of the vendors only sold Disney and Pixar items.

Attended the MBBHI at Wai Kai. They kept advertising that event begins at 10am. False! Went to the front and asked the wahine what time the event starts, it begins at 11am. She said 10am for VIPs. NO WHERE does it say that! So unclear. There's hundreds of us frustratedly waiting in a very, VERY LONG line outside in the sun because of false advertising. Everyone agreed this was false advertising. Lots of people were understandably PO'ed. I love support small businesses, but this was so not cool.A friend warned me they were unorganized, and they were correct. Moreover, they said free shuttles from parking lot. They didn't seem to have a designated pick up/drop off point. The workers in hot pink shirts didn't even know how the shuttle system worked. Really?!Also - at around 10:50am, they started letting people park in the closer lot. Why not start people who got here early park in the closer lot and then move to the further lot. Really disorganized here. So irraz!Would not recommend. It's nice that all the vendors are in one place, but I don't think it was worth it. Maybe shop the vendors individually or catch them at a more organized event.Yelp 2024 Challenge: 11/30

I thing is more precious than time is that the quality we spend it on...literally!This weekend (10/15 & 16th 2022) was the first Magical Boo Bash...Hawaii first Disney inspired pop-up event with vendors launching their holiday collections and more!Located in Mililani Tech Park it was an easy drive considering I've never been here before with a decent amount of parking there was plenty of staff on hand to guide you or answer any questions but what a lovely location away from the city madness it was actually pretty calming and great location vibe.Their Instagram website @magicalboobash_hi provided excellent information on every single participating vendors with images of their items only made me anxious for the upcoming day.Another cool feature was their "Magical Boo Bag" for $50 like the park you get a fast pass which is an hour earlier entry :-) discount at participating vendors and a cute Mickey bottle opener keychain, this alone brought in the load of shoppers and I got so much done in that hour it was the best thing ever!!I did manage to chat with many creative folks and learn about them so much it was time so well spent. This magical moment was amazing and hope to have it again next year!!Thank you!!

I was so excited to attend my first ever Magical Boo Bash! From the start it was clear that it was unorganized! There was no indication (signage) of which line was which. You're standing in the hot sun for hours only to watch "media" or "influencers" go in BEFORE the $100 bag early shoppers. It was confusing all the way around. There was some really good stuff and some great vendors. A lot of vendors don't make their own items and are selling cheap temu items. I appreciated the vendors that make their items. That being said multiple booths were having issues with what was going on. All day long I'd hear complaints. Whoever runs this isn't running it properly. I understand that large fairs have glitches but this was just a poorly organized fair. For the amount of money that vendors spent they didn't get much. Normal craft fairs have advertising and signage. Instagram (a few posts) isn't sufficient advertising! At least a radio spot!! Add to that the $100 bags and the $5 entrance fee. Some of that money should have been used for advertising! Parking was also extremely confusing! But once you got there you had to deal with the line being moved in the gravel and I watched kupuna on scooters and moms with baby strollers struggle just to get to the entrance. The food selection was great and the crafters were great but the greedy and unorganized people who put this on need a huge lesson in how to run a craft fair and how to ADVERTISE!

What a horrible first and last time as a vendor. I was waitlisted for the first few they had and decided not to sign up again until someone from their team reached out to sign up. As soon as I did I was hounded to pay the $700+ standard booth payment (mind you this is the lowest tier booth you could get) and as soon as I PAID for it they ghosted me. I didn't receive any further info so I reached out and tried emailing, dm's, messaging in every possible way and NO ONE would return my call/email.For $700+ I got two days and a standard 10x10ft space but when I showed up it was not 10x10ft more like 8x8ft (I measured because we were right up against our neighbors racks and thankfully I carry a tape measure in case someone wants to do a custom order piece for their home to measure). So now we're here. We were asked to pay in May, I was an add on so I was towards the end of the month and we had ZERO communication on the change of place or an option to cancel with the change given. We were asked to be patient. THEN we all got bombarded with emails in ALL CAPS literally felt like I was being scolded or I don't know how to listen! ZERO MARKETING! They didn't even market us till August 30th! WEEKS BEFORE the actual event! How can I give you $700+, which is a LOT, to get poor communication and horrible marketing? Of course they blamed Waikai and their team for everything. ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY!I show up ON TIME to a LONG DISORGANIZED LINE and have to wait even longer. I'm told to park in a far lot - ok fine, then tell me why I see ALL THEIR FRIENDS VENDORS parking right by the tent! Now speaking of that, I never knew beforehand but it was very apparent the first day that they have a little group of vendor friends they favor. And it makes sense because another vendor told me when they were one of the "firsts" to sign up ALL of the "BFF Vendors" already chose their spot!!! OF COURSE ITS PRIME LOCATION and probably discounted but to make matters WORSE, ALL you hear ALL DAY LONG IS THEIR FRIENDS GETTING PROMOTED OVER THE MIC! Eh if you want just you and your friends to thrive then just do your own. Don't prey on small vendors to pay for your bills! SAME for the VIP TOTE and NEWS PUSH, all friends or their products. You cannot tell me or anyone that was around me otherwise. I feel CHEATED! I feel like they owe me $! Me and a few others I spoke too didn't even cover our booth costs! And now I have to cover my expenses and costs! I'm so embarrassed! I thought them reaching out to me was a special thing but they only wanted my money and everyone else. They didn't care about us with a smaller following. Go host your popularity contest somewhere else! We are not in high school yet it FELT like it. There are MORE IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE. And I don't even have to list them or say their business name because EVERYONE KNOWS who they are and I'd be SO embarrassed to roll with dat crew because they all knew they had an advantage over us and didn't care. I mean who would bite the hand that feeds them? So gross.I hope this was a learning point for the hosts. That greed is not a financial issue, its an ethics and moral issue. I hope you don't host it ever again or change management. Treat people better!FUTURE VENDORS BEWARE - SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR GRIEF! SELL FROM HOME OR SOMEWHERE ELSE!

It was nice to see new vendors but it was unorganized and they changed so many things last minute with little communication for not only customers but also vendors! I bought VIP tote bags for my friend and I thinking that early entry time is 9am since the posted general admission time is 10-5 BUT ITS NOT! VIP admission is at 10am and General is 11-5 yet they had many people in from 9am purchasing since they claimed to be "media" as in influencers yet there were many people not taking photos or videos at all but they were doing their own personal shopping. When we first got there we were guided to the parking where a shuttle would take us over to the event lawn which was fast and convenient yet during our shopping there we learned quickly that even though MBB stated on their Instagram about how there will be no parking @WaiKai they still allowed people to park there. That would have been great for HDCP or VIP but it wasn't and there were many people who needed closer HDCP parking and had to struggle to get into a high shuttle and take the drive or we just to hop back out when arriving at the gate. We paid $100 each for early entry but they announced as we were just getting though the gates that if you're not from Oahu and you're from outer island you can go in early too which is NOT FAIR to all the other GA Guests that waited for hours in the hot sun before they even got there. We were still at the beginning of the Early Entry VIP line and rushed over to MainStreetAlohaCo and we waited in line with only a few people ahead but when we got to the booth to grab the 1 item we wanted we we're DISAPPOINTED to find out that one of the first people to shop there scooped every holiday pouch. There should be a limit to give everyone a chance to purchase and that's on the vendors behalf that this happened. Not only did this happen at 1 vendor but upon talking to multiple people there at the event MANY VENDORS LET PEOPLE SWIPE CLEAN THEIR PRODUCTS! I met a friend there who left so DISSATISFIED that she paid $100 with a plan and list of things she wanted and she couldn't even get anything because those vendors let people buy all of their inventory for those specific items. There was even at least one vendor that I know of who was made to move locations and someone kept circling around the same row that was advertised with their location only to find out they were on the completely other end of the lawn! There should have been a verbal announcement! I didn't even get to fully shop because the whole experience was just not fun at all. I don't know if I even want to attend another BooBash event
