Pickled Mango stand!
Finally, I got a decent picture of some wave action.
Waves crashing against rocks on shore.
The sky over the park.
Looking out towards the ocean.
Sign for the beach park.
Standing too close to the shore. Maybe I should move back just a little.Lol.
House right across the road from the beach park. So lucky.
View from the park.
The ocean.
Some guy fishing(that's not me, by the way).
Another view of waves crashing.against the shore rocks.
Mountain as viewed from beach park.
View of ocean.
Lone dove(or should I say pidgeon). LOL.
$10 for all this!
Memorial of someone who passed away.
Bathroom and showers.

As i'm writing this review, im putting on a bench at Lualualei beach park. First off let me state that this beach park is bare bones, with just one building housing the men's and women's bathrooms, and 2 shower. It's also situated on a narrow piece of land with a single 2 lane road if front of the beach park and homes on the other side of the road. In fact, I would have to say that about 300 feet separates the ocean from the nearest house. The place is designated as a campground, but I didn't see anyone camping. There are some beautiful views of the ocean as well as the mountains from this park. I bet the sunsets must be nice too. I think anyone willing to take the ride down to this side of the island should stop by and give this park a visit, if for no other reason than to see an unobstructed view of a beautiful sunset as well as seeing the waves crash against the rocks on shore. And after, stopping by Waianae Mall to get something to eat.

Mostly rocky and there's only one building that has both the men's and women's restrooms and shower facilities. There's a very narrow road leading to a dead-end, with parking spots along the way. This beach is too rocky to play at, and I think it's better for just walking and standing and taking in the nice views of the ocean and the rest of the Leeward Side.

This campsite should not be listed on the reservation page until it is properly regulated and maintained.I reserved for 5 nights through the City and County of Honolulu's online camping reservation system (https://web1.hnl.info/camping/) without reading any reviews (this was my mistake). When we arrived at the Lualualei Campsite on Friday night, the site was already occupied with a large tent and the area was very trashy and seemed to be inhabited by homeless people. We left and had to find a hotel as we were not comfortable staying there. Since it was Friday after work hours, we could not contact anyone at the City and County of Honolulu.I called the city office the week after, filed a complaint, and received a refund. They seemed to be aware of the issue, and I do not understand why they are still listing this place on their reservation system.I strongly recommend calling the city before reserving a site in this campground!
