Our daughter spent 1 month at Love a Keiki. Our experience was great! The teachers were very accommodating, transparent, and kind. The price was affordable, including snacks and lunch. My daughter had a hard time adjusting, but with the help of the teachers, was able to settle in after a week. We could only do 1 month though because our work was too far with the afternoon rush to pick her up. If traffic wasn't a problem, we would for sure chose to keep her at Love a Keiki.

They are wonderful!! They're very hospitable and friendly. We felt very secured that our daughter will be well taking care of. My daughter started on May 2019 and just graduated on June 2021. I highly recommend this school. Thank you to all the amazing staff of Love A Keiki. We will be back again with my other daughter next year!!

This is one of the most affordable preschools in the town area and with long school hours available (6:30am to 5:30pm) for working parents. Breakfast, lunch, and snack is included in the tuition and they are a licensed child care provider by the State. At first I was a bit skeptical because it's just basically one big room for all the kids at different ages, but they do break up into different "classes" during the day. My daughter is in the 2's class and that's another thing that I love... They accept kids as early as 2.5 years old, in pull-ups. Though my daughter is potty trained, it is a good option because a lot of preschools require potty training at 3 years old. Not sure how well the older classes are prepared for elementary school, but I feel that my soon - to - be 3 year old has been thriving since she began and I hope it continues as she moves up into the older classes.

My son went to Love A Keiki learning center and he loved it there! The staff is very helpful and welcoming, especially for a "helicopter mom" like me who is super attached to my child, and visa-versa. My son was extra shy at first and had a hard time adjusting being with someone other than his sitters. The staff at Love a keiki helped fully potty train and teach him manners and the basic fundamentals for kindergarten. He always gets excited when we talk about school and says he had a great day at school. Plus, it's one of the more affordable tuitions. =) The only downside is that there is no air conditioning, like a lot of schools in Hawaii. I was going to -1 star, but decided there are a lot of good stuff to make up for it. For example, field trips, holiday festivities, pizza days, water days, Ronald Mcdonald day, and a cute graduation ceremony when the children are ready to transition to Kindergarten. I would recommend Love a Keiki for a parent/child looking for a school near Kalihi/town.
