Scheduled mom's Covid vaccine appointment online at CVS.com. As a medical provider I appreciate the information provided and having the appointments every 15 mins for ease of scheduling. What I didn't expect was for the appointment times to be disregarded and chaos in the CVS. I arrived early to the pharmacy. No check in, just a long line about 11 people strong. Of course mom stood in line (which had her waiting in the shampoo section aisles over.) her name was announced softly and by the time she made it up front the clerk just took the next person waiting! This is upsetting!!!!! I've volunteered at a vax clinic AND been to two, appointment times are NOT disregarded. Auwe Makaha Longs, no can dis kine!

Makaha longs has the nicest employees ever! Seriously, once I needed batteries and I approached one of the employees who was on her break at the time. She didn't hesitate to help me out even if she was on her off time. I love coming to this location.

Came in to buy like 5 lbs of coffee a couple days ago and met the sweetest cashier here. I can't remember her name but it started with a L. Thank you.

Just went through Marylou's check out stand for water and she was the nicest person we've been welcomed to the island by. This store is very clean and organized. Great store!

The pharmacy is very short staffed and rude as a result. The pharmacist is kind, and she resolved the issue but they do not answer their phone often. They need to understand patients are coming in needing their medication. Whomevers in charge hire more people for this pharmacy!

Better late than wait for the next flu season, I got my flu shot. Easy process, quick process, alas not pain free. No lines, no waiting, lots of friendly faces.

The people who work here are really nice. They try their best to give really great service but with a lot of merchandise behind locked doors it is hard for the employees to do that when they don't have enough staff on. Just don't go there if you're in a hurry. But everyone seems to be kind.

Great customer service at 9 pm! I forgot my wallet at home and the checkout cashier helped me to use my card that was connected to my apple pay. I wasn't feeling up to par and although I'm technology proficient, I've never used my phone to pay for a retail purchase. My mind was on just to pay for my meds and get back home before I felt worse. The cashier was very helpful. She reminded me to use my phone if I have a card connected to apple pay. Dingthe light turned on. She was also helping a few other guests at the same time that evening. There were 0 other cashiers beside her, she was the only one working the register. She seemed to know a few of the customers that came in, which was nice to see that genuinely friendly service. Don't see much of that anymore. I do think though that there should be security and/or other employees working along side her. People were walking in and out and it seemed unsafe for her. I went to the back of store to get nasal spray which was very empty in that corner, at that time of night. With all the crime that has been on the rise in Hawai'i, I don't want bad things to happen right in my back yard. I hurried into my truck as I saw an unkept, scarcely dressed man, jaggedly walk across the parking lot toward my way. This all happened on Saturday night, July 8, 2023.

Cashiers the manager, and Pharmacist are all awesome. A very small store so very limited in its selection.

this is the WORST Longs drugs And it stays that way consistently. I've had this conversation with multiple other customers/people Who live near it-and I don't understand why the store stays open or at least doesn't address its shortcomings. Aside from the pharmacy being what can best be described as combative, they are constantly out of EVERYTHING! The store looks like it's in a constant state of going out of business . the few things they do have in stock are either expired or if they're not expired they are somehow stale. It's like other longs are pushing their old product into the store just so they have something to put on the shelf And this is been going on since its grand opening. On top of the fact that the registers/computers never work so you can never get your discounts, the coupon machines in the middle of the isles never work either (I mean for like YEARS!) but the one thing that constantly never works are the employees. You will never find one out on the floor to help you find something or check in the back if something is yet to be stocked, and if they do have a cash register open , they will wait until there is a line 7 or eight people deep before they open another register. this place is a joke unto itself! I hate complaining about a business unless it really deserves it but after multiple YEARS dealing with this place I have just decided to literally drive 10 minutes down the road to the other Longs drugs in Waianae Mall. I recommend you do the same. save yourself the time.
