more shopping therapy from hawaiian airlines debacle. again, this was spur of the moment nostalgic purchase. i actually now think i should have got a hoody. I essentially just wanted the logo design and nothing else interest me.buy 1 get 1 for 50% off as well here. same prices as T&C.service wise, they leave you alone. its kids working in the mall. as long as they are not pressuring you to buy nonstop, its all good. not working on commission obviously..

Located on the second floor of Ala Moana, shopping center. Local motion has been one of the local store on the island for many years. They have lot of T-shirts, surf shorts and they also carry other name brands too. T-shirt usually cost about $23 or so, pretty good price. I brought a very traditional T-shirt with their logo on it. If you come to visit Hawaii, you should go get one Local motion shirt and bring home. Go check it out.

I purchased a t-shirt online back in late July 2024 and received a small instead of a large. For over a month, I have been trying to call to get an exchange, but no one ever answers the phone and no one responds to my voice messages for a return call. I have also tried sending emails, but after someone answered my initial email, they never followed up on my subsequent emails to ask for instructions on how to exchange the t-shirt.

I came in expecting colder atmosphere and employees like the other retail stores I walked into all day. The front did feel that way at first but the ladies towards the back were a little friendlier than I expected and helpful when I was rushing around getting my last minute stuff to bring home. I wish I got the one lady's name that helped me during the b1/g1 sale (if you were there in the back March 27, hi! lol) and the guys at the check out were nice while I was cramming all my stuff into my bags too. It was kind of cool to be home and see that the local stores like this were still the same-ish but updated and clean, well-stocked and had decent prices, especially for being at this mall.

Stepped into this store again to find a Mother's Day gift @ 1:20pm, EMPTY with 4-5 employees all standing in the front. I needed help with finding a certain print for a bag that was hanging on their walls.Not ONE employee greeted me or the rest of my Ohana or asked if I needed something. Just talk stories. Pathetic, the majority of the employees were young adults (college-aged). They also didn't acknowledge another customer who came in after me. Customer service non-existant.

I was at the store to look for swimsuits; however, I was told that I am NOT allowed to try on any bikini bottoms. Shortly after I finished trying on some bikini tops, the same store staff opened a fitting room for a white male who wanted to try on some swim trunks. Can someone explain to me why women are not allowed to try on bikini bottoms, while males are allowed to try on swim trunks? I hope someone can share a good explanation on this.

Went inside got greeted by the workers helped me find a shirt and was overall a great vibe and store

I like local motion a lot but their poor service puts a damper on the store in a whole. Two employees to greet in the front yet can't be bothered to greet anyone. Just talking story to each other from each side of the entrance. No one spoke to me the entire time I was in the store to greet or check if I was finding what I needed. Left the store empty handed. Was bummed to see the waikele location closed but now I can see exactly why

Staff that was working on 09/14 was inexperienced and not helpful. I understand hiring younger people but maybe make sure there's someone experienced on the floor to actually assist customers and their questions instead of singing and talking smack about fellow employees. Just go to t&c y'all. They friendly over there.

Customer service was not great. The employee folding the t-shirts was just snippy and had attitude. It saddens us that we felt we were judged. As if we don't have money to afford anything in the store. lmao it's funny how people are judge mental of how we dress walking into a place. Having to be on vacation and walking around the whole morning in humid hot Hawaii weather we decided to dress comfortably. So we are both raised on a different island so we can easily pass as locals of Hawaii. the cashier and other staff were not very friendly and was just ignorant. Regardless of the poor customer service I still purchased items from the store. I wasn't going to stop that from my main reason of walking into the store. It's sad because regardless of how we dress or the color of our skin all customers should be treated with respect and kindness. We are the reason why they still have jobs. It took me so much to bite my tongue because we make more money way than the staff folding clothes and the cashier who cashed us out. It's sad that people like them exist
