Local Motion Hawaii

I purchased a t-shirt online back in late July 2024 and received a small instead of a large. For over a month, I have been trying to call to get an exchange, but no one ever answers the phone and no one responds to my voice messages for a return call. I have also tried sending emails, but after someone answered my initial email, they never followed up on my subsequent emails to ask for instructions on how to exchange the t-shirt.

how anyone has anything but amazing things to say about this place needs to have their heads examined. stoped by after being at sandy's and the staff is amazing helpful and kind love this place. my only negative is they don't sell all their stuff in the online shop. so i guess i need to load up before i go back to the mainland.New! They Always supported my Hawaiian Entertainment promotions and career. I love this place.The people there (Workers, employees, customers too) are all pretty much dame hella cool.There ADA parking really close to Local Motion Hawaii. They have a whole large display of local and surf stickers for sale.

This is my first time here. Somewhat dim lighting, not dark, but good enough. I was looking for a Fanny pack. While in the hospital this Christmas/ New Years season, I noticed Queens nurses were wearing these Fanny packs to carry items from room to room (bandage scissors and necessities). It was a large size, but not too big! I asked them, "Where did you get your Fanny pack?" Well, here I am! While looking around and taking a picture, I was approached by a sales person who was personable, friendly, accommodating, and smiling. He was ready to call the other stores to transfer items if I should need them! Nice guy!!!But, I wasn't going to wait and made a decision and wanted one now to carry my cards, money, and iPhone. It was black, not the bright orange one, not my color...doesn't match any of my wardrobe. I'm lucky to have this guy come up on me. The other two didn't flinch until I was ready to cash out. My guy looked at the other guy who wanted to take the sale. My guy at roped forward took over the cash register. Some territorial situation going on there! Funny...The store is a surf shop, swim suits, swim shorts, boogie board area with basics, backpacks, t-shirts, and etc.They do wear masks and require customers to wear their masks. That's it...be safe gang!

This is our go to Local Motion store when we're in O'ahu. We love this location because every time we visit, all the employees are so friendly, helpful and just so nice! Not to mention, we always find something we want, like or don't need but buy it anyway. Lol! This store is also so organized and every item is folded or hung neatly.

Great staff super friendly helpful no pushing to buy stuff just their to answer your questions.

Hey na na Local Motion! I love this surf shop! Koko Marina and HK is so lucky to have a surf shop to call their own in the community. It's a small but cute shop that has a little but of everything! I love the employees there. Very cool with positive vibes.

I ended up being at Local Motion in Hawaii Kai because the Ala Moana location didn't have my size for the shirt I liked. They have lots of surf/local Hawaii designs and they do occasional sales like buy one get another for 50%. The manager local Haole man is so nice and friendly. While my husband was waiting for me to shop, they were chatting about surfing the whole time. My mother-in-law found a shirt she liked for her boyfriend but had a stain on the inside of the shirt. They didn't have another one for his size and she almost didn't buy, but the manager gave her 20% discount for the stain. My mother-in-law was also looking for stuff for her granddaughters but unfortunately they didn't really have anything here. A girl working at the time, she kindly told my mother-in-law there are some other places at Kahala mall where they sell girls' local shirts and surf clothes. We went over there later and she was spot-on! I will make sure to stop by this place every time I'm in Hawaii Kai from now on!

Visited from out of state. Saw this shop next to Starbucks on our coffee run and we came back three more times. Ended up buying all my gifts here! All their clothes feel light and comfy. Got some socks, hats, license frames, a LOT of stickers. Will be visiting here next time we are in town! The guy working was super friendly and always wears a smile.

Awesome service! Our go to place for gifts for the family. The Hawaii Kai location has been there for ever.
