Local Boy Sushi

So awesome their bread pudding!!!!!! I came straight from town to buy them for myself and ended up buying more for family and coworkers. One of the owners is a high school friend with my former professor at the college nearby. He was so generous to tell me about their sweet potato pie and let me try it!!! Love the friendliness and generosity... I'll be sure to return!!! Thank you!!!

Amazing service. Two guys were behind the counter. They both offered ideas to help my nephew choose an item. A lot of aloha and kindness from these folks. It's nice to experience that in Kailua. I wish he would've gotten a larger serving than the bowl he got or that I ordered a hand roll for later. Teenagers are so hungry! He is a picky eater and enjoyed his meal very much so. He also enjoys genki and foodland poke bowls. The shrimp tempura were sliced up into 1-2 cm bits and sprinkled on top of his poke with unagi sauce. He said he would come back, so this is a winner spot. It's on the opposite side of Whole Foods. So when you park, walk by fighting eel to get to it. There was seating inside on sturdy tables. We ended up ordering to go.

Picked up a Ahi/Hamachi/Salmon sashimi platter for Christmas Eve which was a real hit with everyone. The order was ready on time and looked impressive, the fish was fresh and reasonably priced for this time of the year. This location is takeout only with no seating available. Would recommend Local Boy Sushi for its sashimi being one of the 3-4 locations in Kaneohe for good fresh fish.

Wanted to try something new that I haven't had before and support local businesses while I'm in the area. They were one out of two places I wanted to check out. The pros. Lots of parking and there is a little window to order your food from. Perfect for me since I had my dog with me. The cons. Pricing was high compared to what was offered. I got a combo box and deluxe burger which was a little under $30 for both. The fish quality I could tell was previously frozen fish. However, I'm glad I got a combo box of a little bit of everything cause I really do not think I could eat more than 1 piece of the smoked salmon sushi. Everything else was tolerable.

Not only super friendly service but delicious fresh caught ahi. So good I went two days in a row. Highly recommend the Lava Bowl which was delicious although not very spicy.

Walk up window only, no drive through or dining room- no problem at all but good to know! This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. I ordered the lava poke bowl along with the sweet potato pie and WOW. If I were local I would be eating here all the time. Price can't be beat for fresh tuna. Others in my party got the lava sushi roll and loved it too. The crispy shrimp along with the tuna was a perfect combo! I will make sure to come again when I'm back in the area.

Love that this place has good burgers and sushi. Something unique is the smoked salmon sushi, I highly recommend trying it! Prices are very affordable.

Wanted to give this this Sushi take out eatery a try located next to the Kaneohe Post office & in the Bldg that use to be PA KE's Chinese Restaurant. First floor, next to State Farm Insurance. There was a steady line ordering & picking up. The guy cashier was very friendly & efficient. Put my order in forFour Spicy Ahi Tuna Rolls, which he told me would take about 15 minute's. After about that time he called out my name & put four hand rolls in a bagasked me if I needed any soy sauce, wasabi. Got home, unrolled the Spicy Ahi Tuna roll & took a bite. Good fresh Ahi chunks, wrapped in white Sushi rice in aoli sauce. Was a good quick snack. Looking forward to trying their Poke Bowls & other fresh made sushi! Hole in the wall take out Sushi in Kaneohe! Price point good for the value of their food.

Local Boy Sushi is hands down our favorite spot for sushi on the Windward side! Every time we visit, the quality is fresh and perfectly prepared. Their rolls and poke are always flavorful, and you can really taste the difference in the ingredients they use.Beyond the amazing food, the customer service is top-notch. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and quick to take care of us. Whether we're grabbing a quick bite or picking up a platter for a gathering, they never disappoint.If you're looking for delicious, high-quality sushi with great service, this is the place to go. We also had their catering and all our guest LOVED the sashimi! So grateful for this amazing business!

Great selection. Great food. Burgers are tasty. Sushi is fresh. Service is awesome. Parking can be tough.
