Local Boy Sushi

The *best* poke salad I ate on my trip to Oahu came from Local Boy Sushi. It's been a month since my trip and I still think about it all the time.I ordered the spicy ahi tuna and spicy salmon lbs bowl with avocado and absolutely loved it. The flavor was incredible!I was satisfied by the lbs bowl, but recommend the big braddah bowl if you're hungry!

Wanted something that we could eat at the beach so stopped here before going to Kailua Beach. Although they were busy they were hustling to get our food out timely. Great portion size, fresh ingredients and great service. There's lots of parking in back.

Wanted a relatively quick lunch after a day at the beach. I feared good things about the Kaneohe location, so when I saw this while driving, I thought I'd give it a tryLooking at the menu, all the prices seemed very reasonable for today's prices. I opted for the lava bowl ($14) which had spicy ahi, shrimp tempura pieces, avocado, and unagi sauce. They didn't have the typical sushi rice, but instead a grain type rice that almost appeared to be brown rice - still delicious :)I appreciated that not only did the flavors taste fresh, but the spicy ahi wasn't too spicy AND the bowl came with a FREE fountain drink :) (only 1 free refill) pretty good deal :)Overall, everything was delicious and the workers were friendly and the place was clean.i definitely recommend coming here to check it out!

Ok sushi, nothing to go crazy for. Price is good. The setting is more like a fast food place (order on a tablet, wait for your name to be called for pick up at the counter), except it's not fast food. I waited for 45 mins each time (I went twice) and the guys making the food seemed very stressed each time, apologizing profusely for the wait, but the wait is the same every time. If you want a quick bite of fish, go to Tamura's or Shima's for the same quality but a fraction of the wait time.

Amazing ahi & Kalbi on greens w fair prices. It came with a complimentary drink and customer service was great. I will be back for more! Yum

I popped in to get a quick sushi fix between errands since this place was nearby and only had a group of 3 inside. The staff was cool, but it took a whole lot longer than I expected so it actually worked out that they bagged it to go even tho I ordered to "for here". The spicy salmon poke roll was not that good and the dynamite roll was not that bad. For a few more dollars, I could've gotten some gourmet sushi so when though the 8 piece roll was not bad, it wasn't a good value. I might stop in for a quick snack if I'm in the area and not too hungry, but I think I'll go elsewhere if I have a big appetite

only found out that local boys has a location in Kailua!!! I could not praise this place enough. As a girl who sometimes eats like a bird on one day then eats like a dump on another. I appreciate That they have choices in how much food you order!!! Thanks for the warm welcome and excellent service! I'll be back soon!

Picked this place off the previous high ratings, and I was not disappointed! High quality sushi with flavorful kicks and a twist of Hawaiian. Extremely reasonably priced. Service with the guy at the front is 10/10. I feel like he treats everyone who walks in like family. Casual and petite inside, we sat by the window and enjoyed our eats happily! Can't wait to come again!

We were hungry after a full day of exploring. We tried the spicy special, volcano, avocado roll and one more. The spicy and volcano were both ahhmazing!!! We hope to go back before we say aloha!

Parking is by DTE or longs then walk to the Main Street facing lanikai juice. Food was fresh and quick for lunch. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. Love the inside seating.
