These Malasadas are legit! Those filled ones, I could easily smell the fragrant coconut and vanilla creams before I tried to pick them up with one hand and nearly broke my wrist they were SO stuffed with deliciousness.Super quick service with a smile!Hot and delicious! We honestly could not have asked for anything more.We went to the truck at Waikele outlet Center.Easy parking and multiple other opportunity for bits and pieces to grab for the day.

I love this place but they're never open when they say they are open. It's disappointing because I promise my students Leonard's after they meet a goal or have a great week and yes, I realize it's an expensive goal... but now I have to come up with something else because the last three times I've been here before work when they are supposed to be open they're not.I love that you can order online and pick up right at the truck ! It's a very convenient location rather than driving all the way to town. There's tons of parking. And they consistently taste great! The only thing they need to change is being open on time!

Every malasadas wagon can be found in the corner or on the side of a lot. Why is it? You can't miss this red and white truck! Dont waited upon immediately if there is a line or crowd waiting for their order. But this location makes your malasadas fresh, nice and hot, and only this one rolls a lot of sugar on it! So yummy! sorry, I left no pictures of my goods, but I know I'll be returning again! Friendly service and bring your debit card. This location doesn't accept cash.

Thursday, August 22,2024: I can't believe we didn't take photos of the delicious, fresh, hot malasadas! We got plain sugar plus filled malasadas and we enjoyed it so much that we returned for more. The folks in the food truck were so nice & friendly! There were close to the shaved ice truck. Such a great visit! We loved them both!

My sister was in town for Thanksgiving and she was craving Leonard's malasadas. There were limited places open so I wasn't sure if they were going to be open. However, as we drove past we saw a man carrying two boxes so I quickly turned inside the parking lot. As we got closer, I realized that they were actually closing and it appeared that the worker was taking some malasadas home. He looked at us as we passed and made a motion for us to stop. I couldn't believe when he asked us if we wanted a box. "Are you sure??" I asked as my hand was already out the window LOL. How could I say no to a box of freshly made malasadas?? I couldn't believe the generosity of this really kind man. I didn't get a chance to get his name but wow did he make our day! I feel sorry for whoever he was going to share these malasadas with, we really scored!

Delicious malasadas! I have tried all of the flavors- custard, dobash (chocolate), and haupia (coconut). I like how the filling stays thick and custardy- it doesn't melt from the warmth of the malasada. They come out hot, though there is a bit of a wait. Well worth it! Texturally these are breadier than a yeast donut. A crisp exterior with an airier interior- bigger than I remember them being. I've been to the larger Leonard's location on Lumiaina St many times and their malasadas have been very consistent. I do prefer Manuela's malasadas, but these are still amazing! Overall, I would highly recommend Leonard's!

The malasadas speak for themselves. Delicious. And trust me, I'm well aware of this 'island time' concept having lived on island since the dawn of time. However, if you have store hours, either abide by them or tell people you don't care about them. Says they open at 7:00 , 7:20 the workers come moseying (yes, MOSEYING) on up to open. Good grief, great grief even!!! Now here I stand, waiting for my delicious treat whilst the mosiers take their time opening. I got waves to catch and shakas to throw ya know?Update: worker said it'd be another half hour, I'm out of here

Leonard's Bakery never disappoints! We get the original with no fill. We stopped by this location. Donut was not fried to order but probably fried recently as it was ready when we ordered it. Donuts were still hot. Fast and no lines

On 3/8/24 My husband and I were in this area and we stumbled across the food truck and we were so excited. We just had to stop by and purchase some malasadas. Located at target parking lot towards the rear. No outdoor seating available. We hadn't eaten lunch yet, so this was perfect to eat as a snack. We got the cinnamon sugar and the haupia. So fresh! and truly Yummylicious!! In my honest opinion, there is a difference between this one and the main restaurant off Waikiki area. This one was slightly more on the dense side (not terribly dense) which I liked. My experience at the main restaurant in Waikiki was not so great. Reason being it was not thoroughly cooked. It may have been rushed. The inside was still slightly doughy and I felt like I was eating halfway cooked dough. It was definitely not pleasant in my mouth, therefore, had to discard it. The one from this food truck was perfecto. We loved it and we would return here again. Aloha! :-))

These malasadas definitely met my expectations and the praise they get from a lot of people! We ate them fresh, so they were so warm, fluffy, and chewy. Truly the best malasadas I had among the ones that I tried on the island! Highly recommend giving them a try.
