I couldn't get enough of Leonard's bakery will we were here. Their malasadas are simply amazing. The staff are always nice & friendly. They never make you feel rushed even with a line out the door. The bakery has a simple charm that we absolutely love. It may be a little hectic but in a good way. We will always come back!

Hot and fresh! The line can great crazy and the parking lot can definitely be crazier. Bring your patience and it will be all worth it. There is no seating inside, this is an order and go situation. Most people were standing outside eating or eating in their cars. Online ordering is also available for quicker pick up.Each order is made fresh when you order so when you receive them they are HOT!They have a variety of original Malasadas (not filled) and a variety filled with custards. We tried an original sugar, li hing mui, haupia, guava, and seasonal flavor-strawberry! I enjoyed them and thought they would be fab for breakfast or snack!

Hot malasada donuts made to order makes this place a local and tourist must hit spot on the island. The line is constant and the malasadas take a bit of time to get to you, but when they do, they are warm and soft and pillowy. We walked here but there is a small parking lot. No seating. Casual. Please come and create your own experience.

At the iconic Malasada donut Leonard Bakery! Malasada donut is a fluffy donut rolled in cinnamon sugar and stuffed with pastry cream. Fluffiness reminded me of mochi donut. Sauce consistency is more like custard. Guava Malasada: Sauce was very floral it kinda like rose flavoring. Haupia (coconut flavor) Malasada: Light coconut flavoring, very tasty. Parking: Honestly if you're not a good driver. I would probably park near the suburban street parking and then walk to Leonard's. There are only a few parking spaces open and there's always a line out the door so many people waiting in line might block the parking entrance.

Leonard's is a Hawaiian staple and a must-visit when on Oahu. They're known for their malasadas aka pillowy soft and fluffy Portuguese donuts. The prices keep going up over the years ($1.85 each or $2.25 w/ filling) but they're still cheap eats for Hawaii standards. It's a popular tourist spot even though it's in an older part of town. There's usually always a line but it was a short wait on a Wednesday afternoon. You order at the counter inside and then pick up your order outside.I'm a huge fan of the original malasada which is similar to a classic sugar donut but without the hole. If you want something a little fancier, they have filled puffs with different flavors. I really enjoyed the lilikoi one. The cream wasn't too sweet and had a hint of passionfruit flavor. You have to come here if you've never been or have never had a malasada. Make sure to eat them while they're hot and you'll be in for a real treat.

A Hawaii staple, I went here for the first time in years and love the change in the operations. Now you order inside with pick up for your malasadas called outside, it definitely stream lined it and made the process pretty quick. I love the stuffed one and the custard was definitely a winner. Usually I'm a haupia girl but there was just something about it. My friend ended up coming here twice even because they loved it so much. Merch and inside was cute.

Being so close and staying in Waikiki, we knew we had to check out the famous Leonard's Bakery at least once on our trip. It did not disappoint. We got a couple of the Malasada puffs and a Malasada to try some variety. Our favorites were the original Malasada and custard Malasada puff. They were the perfect sweetness level while being so fresh and warm. You have to try them right away, don't wait!Their parking lot is pretty small, but there's a large lot next door with plenty of spaces. The line can get long but moves quickly.
