Highly recommend Custard Pie. Currently $26 (price has increased) Lee's Bakery located in Chinatown, N. King Street, Near Open Market. Owner (wife) is always pleasant and friendly. A really nice person. Besides pies, there are pastries, donuts, hong Kong bun, sponge cake. Very fresh. I normally order a lot, since I hardly get a chance to go to Chinatown often. Owner (wife) provides a free recycle brown bag, very nice of her! I appreciate it.Open daily. Highly recommend.

I ordered a coconut custard pie for a BBQ. As a visitor to Honolulu, I spent 7 days tasting desserts to inform my decision.After giving up, I took a chance on Lee's Bakery pie without tasting. Lee's Bakery has the best custard pie around! We get them often for family gatherings, and they're always a hit. The custard is smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced--not too sweet, just right. If you're planning to get one for an event or a special occasion, I highly recommend ordering in advance, as they do tend to sell out quickly.Every time we've visited, the staff has been friendly, and the quality is consistently great. Lee's Bakery is a must-visit if you're a custard pie fan--trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I always ate custard pies as gifts from my paternal grandparents' neighbors. They have exceptional pies and pastries. The problem is that they are bad for your health. They're located in Chinatown, and I hardly go there due to the increasing level of crime. They provide great service. I can see why the line is so long. It's a classic bakery located in Chinatown. The ambiance can get crowded due to the popularity of the pies and pastries.

Came here for our favorite Hong Kong buns! they are fresh and fluffy, the center has a thin buttery sugary delicious filling. After I paid for my box of Hong Kong buns, I noticed they brought out a pan full of their famous custard pies, and was told it just came out the oven and is hot! ah!!! I totally scored! so of course I bought a pie too! it was my first time tasting their famous custard pie, it isn't too sweet and the custard is smooth and rich.The custard pie is worth all the rave, and if you haven't tried their Hong Kong buns, you need to try it immediately!

I did a phone order and was please to hear a human voice! Service was quick and friendly. They took my order kindly and asked when I would arrive. I recommend parking on the backside of their storefront which is located on the ocean side of the harbor. Tip: if all you're doing is picking up your order asked the parking attendant if you could simple run in for 5 minutes or less instead of paying the parking fee.In return a piece of pie or pastry for his favor would be a nice gesture. Lee's Bakery is legendary for their custard pies, which are some of the best in town. Their pies are so popular that they often sell out quickly, and you need to pre-order well in advance. Just a heads-up, they're now closed during Thanksgiving week, so plan accordingly if you're hoping to get one for the holidays!

I was visiting friends in town and they requested Egg Custard tarts. They were excellent. Service was quick for a small family store.

We should have known better that if you come after lunch the shelves will be pretty empty. Just so happened we had dim sum next door and once we saw their sign we wanted to see if they had any custard pies.The sweet and friendly employee behind the counter said call and order, hand motioning with her closed fist to her ear, smiling at us.We'll know better next time.

I wanted to eat pie so after the lab I told my husband let's try and see if Lee's bakery still have pies. Well I was in luck had. Yum tonight will have a good dessert after eating leftovers from the other day. The lady behind the counter was nice and put the pie in their bag. So close to my house but still drive there and park on the side double park and walk to the bakery. If you like custard their's the best nice and warm.
