Finding the peace...Literally as Yelp direction kept leading me to Kapiolani Community College though close but not where it's at as it's actually to the left of Diamond Head State Park entrance which is quite easy to find. This little park is a slight hidden place that's pretty green and decently maintained with a couple of areas for you to enjoy one is closer to the entrance that has a lovely peek of the Wilhemina Rise area and a lovely place that I thought would be the perfect photo op spot for a cool gift from a thoughtful friend with BunBun is this cool cooler tote from TJ's!Using one of a bunch of stones and some benches for a place to relax and noticed a giant rock with a plaque that's a time capsule which will be opened on October 24, 2049! The other section is a bit more shaded as this circular garden has some stones placed with various peace quotes and though wanted to take more pics there was a gentleman chilling and didn't want to disturb him and majority of the area does have a path for easy access between gardens and up to Diamond Head as I've been here countless times and never knew this area existed is quite insane lol! A great spot for those that can't do the hike but enjoy a bit peace of time.Thank you!

A chill little park outside of Diamond Head State Park. Great place to sit under the trees and relax after a hike at Diamond Head and before catching the bus back to town.

Did you know this Beautiful "Shady" Green "Zen - like" Peace Garden existed? Being a Kamaāina and having gone through here many times, I had no idea this spot was located just across the street! When you first enter the Peace Garden, it has a Greenery Heaven like feel! Grass are lusciously green, well maintained and freshly cut. Just right above, has a long stretch pathway to walk with a few exercise equipments, if you wanted to put in a quick workout. Looking for a low key spot with a spacious area to have a nice picnic, let the Keiki run around, or have a self care moment of meditation, this is it! There are benches and tables scattered around, nice variety of spots to relax. It's definitely a low traffic park and we love it! A couple concerns... 1) The small parking lot consists of about 9 stalls but located on dirt with huge potholes... 2) There are absolutely no Restrooms. Not an ideal choice to spend more than an hour or so here. However... Lēahi Millennium Peace Garden is a perfect place to getaway from the hustle and bustle, have a nice intimate picnic, or just enjoy the lively tranquility feel of this Garden. You can bet, we'll sure be back!

This garden has low traffic in it, we were the only 2 people relaxing here for hours before mid day. Everything is well maintained! The grass was super green and seemed like it was freshly cut and soft. Lots of shade under the trees with a view of Diamond Head Dog park and the mountains. Highly reccomend for a picnic or place to rest and relax. P.S. Right across the street from the dog park, there is a small parking lot directly beside the garden on Diamond Head Rd.

This small park is beautiful. I've driven past multiple times but never stopped by. We had a picnic lunch there and the weather was gorgeous. The park is very well maintained and clean. There are numerous signs labeling trees and plant life in the park. There are also benches and nice shady spots to sit, rest and admire. If you are in the area it's definitely worth a stop. It's right across from the dog park and there's a small parking lot down the way right after the park. I love how there are peace plaques placed throughout the circle sitting areas with quotes that you can admire.

"Let me tell you nowEverybody's talking about revolution, evolution...Regulations, integrations, meditations,United Nations, congratulationsAll we are saying is give peace a chanceAll we are saying is give peace a chance..."- John Lennon "Give Peace a Chance"The Le'ahi Millenium Peace Circle was founded as a place for the community to gather and work to restore the surrounding landscape of Diamond Head. It was officially opened on October 2, 2010 and was built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Soka Gakkai International's President Daisaku Ikeda's first steps in Honolulu on October 2, 1960, the first of his worldwide journeys for peace. At the entrance of the circle is a bronze plaque bearing the opening lines of Mr. Ikeda's novel, "The New Human Revolution". Surrounding the Peace Circle are 7 monuments each bearing a bronze plaque with words from eminent peacemakers, such as Martin Luther King Jr, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Queen Lili'oukalani. A Kou tree has been planted in the center of the circle.#302

Peace and tranquility. Nature and realistic rustic surrealities converge here at the Leahi Millennium Peace Garden. It's one of those places that can bring peace in a troubling world. Be forewarned though, it can get warm and humid here during the summer months, so you might want to go in the winter. You never know what you can find when you least expect it. Even in your backyard or neighborhood, there's always something cool to find, whether it's hidden or out there in plain view. I have come to know the Leahi Millennium Peace Garden during my days attending Kapiolani Community College, but those days are long gone. These days, I've come to rediscover the gardens during my time here on the KCC campus and appreciating the gardens each time I come to visit. It's one of the many bright spots in the ol kaimuki neighborhood. Although it is usually combined with the Kapiolani Community College campus, the Leahi Millennium Peace Garden is as therapeutic and majestic, as nature is always is. As often as I come through Kapiolani Community College to run through the campus, play Pokémon Go with friends, or just enjoy my alma mater on any given weekend. I would usually come here on the weekends though and be reminded of life and how fragile it can be, among random things. The Leahi Millennium Peace garden is a great compliment to the campus and I always look forward to strolling through the area when I come over. Even though the garden isn't technically on the Kapiolani Community College campus, it's maintenance is provided by volunteers connected to the KCC campus. Best bet would be to come here in the morning hours before it gets warm, or late afternoon so it isn't too terribly hot. The unique flora makes it an interesting walk through the gardens. Seeing the bees and other various insects do their thing with the plant life here gives the area its purpose and life meaning. The overall experience here at the Leahi Millennium peace garden is as good as it can be. The garden isn't as large as a community park, but it's quaint and beautiful any time of the day or night. The location of the peace garden can be found at 4184 Diamond Head Road in Honolulu, HI. It's literally across the street from Kapiolani Community College's Diamond Head Road border. Since it is a peace garden, there is not an entrance admission fee to be found. Like all community parks in Honolulu, it is free to come here and I am happy to come here whenever I can. It is connected with the Fort Ruger Pathway and the Bryan Clay workout stations are nearby too. Since I live close to the Leahi Millennium Peace Garden and the Kapiolani Community College, walking there is usually not a problem. You can drive there and park on the Kapiolani Community College lower campus and walk across the street to enjoy the gardens. If public transit is more of your thing, bus routes 3, 9, 23, and 24 come through the area from Waikiki and stop at the Diamond Head State Monument bus stop. From there, you can walk about 50 feet and into the Peace gardens. Uber and Lyft are always options too, if you prefer. For the most part though, a trip to the gardens provides an excellent way to spend the morning or afternoon. It's a way to not spend money and a place to declutter your mind and soul while reorganizing yourself. Much like the beach or public community parks, the Leahi Millennium Peace garden works the same way. It functions easily as a way to minimize stress and helps you focus on what's important in your life. Mindful and spiritual opportunities are abound here and it is definitely helpful when you can get away from the television or your mobile devices and just experience nature in your back yard. Do yourself a favor and come and visit the Leahi Millennium Peace garden one of these days and you would possibly be surprised at how magnificent and magical it can be. It is an uplifting experience that can be one that can fulfill your dreams. Well, maybe not, but it does have a way of brightening up your spirits when life throws curve balls at you. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Definitely recommend coming here if you are in the area. If you are climbing Diamond Head anyway, take a moment and go through the gardens on the way out. It would be a good cool down from the hike.Support local!A+

Had a beautiful picnic the other day in the shade. It's pretty tranquil. While we sat a couple of musicians stopped by to practice some jazz with their horn and sax! Music in the park! I recommend locals to really give the place a chance. A lot of people walk by during walks/hikes but it seemed pretty slow in the park (it was also middle of the week). There's isn't much in terms of parking nearby. There's a small lot right next to the park but it is for the nearby dog park and medical building.

I literally pass by this park everyday. Today was the first time I actually stopped and walked around. It a small, well kept and landscaped park. It looks as if it was well planned with lots of trees for shade, benches and open grassy areas for a small intimate picnic. There are plaques with inspirational quotes for different people. There is also a time capsule buried there from 1999 to be opened in 2049.Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!
