Le Jardin Academy

This is an EXCEPTIONAL school. It's the ONLY K-12 International Baccalaureate school in the state. The setting is at the old Kailua drive in site, and it's spectacular. The views are incredible. The staff are great. Helpful and interested in the children's best interest ( as it should be ) and are always available to engage with the parents on their children's education. Although expensive, it's well below Punahou, 'Iolani, and Mid Pac. They do offer financial aid options, yet make sure you apply early because it can take some time to get through the process. Le Jardin does offer athletics as well as a quality education. As a matter of fact, the girl's just won the ILH water polo championship, and the boy's won last year. Le Jardin competes in Water Polo, paddling, swimming, volleyball, basketball, tennis, kayaking and golf. They also compete in the PAC-5 in football, softball, wrestling, baseball and cross country. The gym is fantastic, a tad bit cramped, but very nice indeed. I'm proud to say that my girls will be attending Le Jardin the fall of 2013

We relocated to Oahu for only a short time for work purposes. We registered to LJA not knowing how lucky we were by getting the spot. We stayed in Oahu and therefore my kids were in LJA only for 1 semester, but it was the most fabulous semester I could have hoped for. Let's start from how beautiful and green the school is. It feels like a little piece of paradise. The school's teaching system is "concept based teaching and learning" which is basically an innovative and thoughtful way of making the students think for themselves and inspiring them to question the world around them, remain curious and want to develop their own knowledge. The entire staff, from the principle to the last administrator are exceptionally motivated to allow the kids a comprehensive educational experience of respect, surrounding kindness and achievements. As for the teachers, these are phenomenal. They were so invested in each child's emotional world and capabilities and so good in letting the students feel like they belong, that they're part of a family, that hey're safe and that they can achieve anything. They truly inspired the kids, while putting an emphasis on being a kind, thoughtful, empathetic individual the same way they put the emphasis on curiosity and learning. My kids were so happy there! in no time at all...They formed such meaningful connections and excelled in their studies despite the short time we were there. I genuinely think this school is fantastic and would highly recommend it to anyone.

this school is very beautiful. teachers here are very supportive. what I get from other ppl, academics here are very "on it" when it comes to the children's education. I wish I had the funds to place my child here. #hashope!!

My son absolutely loves going to school. The school is the perfect size and I love that everyone knows my child. The campus is beautiful! The teachers are passionate about learning. I love the community and the other families.
