An unassuming spot located within the Alohilani Hotel. The decor first off is super relaxing. Who would've thought having an aquarium inside a hotel was a thing..? LB Cafe is located on the lower level near the fishes. The service was friendly and quick and I took their recommendation on the iced mocha, as well as taking a few croissants (which is what they are known for! They make it fresh in-house every day). No seating for the cafe itself, but the resort near the fish is the intended seating area. I really enjoyed myself sitting and enjoying my croissant and iced mocha while looking at the fish swimming around. Definitely another place to go with all my friends! :D

#34 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week). Was staying at the Alohilani and the coffee machine wasn't working in my room so I headed down to get a coffee at the cafe. I just wanted a drip coffee and it was $6.50 for a large!!! Absolutely crazy but I wanted coffee so was going to have to suck it up. There was a huge debacle with my bill, then they refunded me (supposedly) but ended up refunding the gentleman in front of me so I had to go back down and try to get the refund for my bill. 30+ minutes later (line is terribly slow) I got my coffee and pastries. First up the good.....the ham and cheese croissant and the egg salad and avocado croissant were fantastic! Both very tasty and well done. However the coffee was disgusting. I added sugar and cream and it was so bitter I didn't even drink half of it and I threw it away. $6.50 for absolutely terrible coffee to just throw it away. I was so irritated. Go for the pastries and skip the coffee. Grab coffee at the store a couple doors down or across the street.

The hubby and I did a little staycation at the Alohilani to celebrate his birthday. I was looking for a good coffee spot around the area when I realized that there was LB Cafe right downstairs where the aquarium is. They have delicious pastries, croissants and sandwiches that are displayed in the front. I needed my morning coffee so I ordered their vanilla latte w/almond milk since they were out of cold brew. I had to try one of their buttery croissants so I got their egg and avocado croissant sandwich and picked up a few other goodies for the hubby and his son.Not only do the pastries and croissants look but they taste good too. My croissant was buttery and flaky. It was filled with a creamy egg salad and a generous amount of avocado. So good! The coffee did not disappoint either and I'm picky about my coffee. They offer Kama'aina discount which is nice. Only downside is that they close pretty early at noon. I wish they were open later! If you're in the area, recommend coming here for breakfast/lunch. They have ample seating since it's the same place as La Betolla.

This cafe is located inside of Athilani resort hotel. We walked from Marriott to here (5-7 min walk) around 9am two days in a row to get breakfast. They always have a plenty of seat to sit and look at nice aquarium on the wall.Croissants - 5/5. Wow! Ask them to toast it. Their croissants are sweet, butterfly, and so chewy in a good way. So now let me rate the individual croissant we tried:Egg & Avocado - 3.5/5. Good egg salad you would expect to have all the time in Japan. So nothing special.Nutella croissant - 5/5. Good amount of Nutella cream inside. You'd probably want to get the 2nd.Crunchy peanut butter Nutella - 5/5. So delicious just like the regular Nutella with peanuts crunch.Cappuccino - 4/5. Really good cappuccino.Açaí - 3.5/5. Good, but it's not as good as the one from island vintage. If you haven't had açaí from island vintage, you'd love their açaí. The base is apparently made with Açaí and peach. It tastes a bit diluted with ice. If you are ok with that, you'd love it. They put a generous amount of granola and a sprinkle of macadamia nuts were nice touch.Overall, we still think this is a good spot for breakfast to avoid a crazy line anywhere else. I highly recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth or a fan of croissants.

Such a cute cafe at Alohilani hotel! They're located in the old oceanarium spot so you get to see the fishes! I brought in my dog in my bag (alohilani is pet friendly, but im not sure if this restaurant is, but i've seen them repost other pics with dogs in there on IG). I didn't stay very long anyway. They have coffee and a bunch of tasty looking sandwiches. I picked up a few - most start at about $8, but they're all pretty large in size. I've been wanting to try the egg one that they have but it wasn't available when i went. Kamaaina ~ There is free validated parking for 3 hours - don't forget to ask your barista! However, i really dont know how to get out with the validation cause it didnt read it in their payment meter thing that they have, but the kind security let me out of there anyway when i pressed the call button. The staff was really nice - there was only one guy working the front and it had a constant flow of guests. Im assuming most of the people who went are hotel guests. I noticed that they expanded their hours and now close at noon. Hopefully they can stay open for a little longer than that in the future as it might just be a staffing issue.

TL;DR: Open Daily 6am-Noon. Card payment only. Morning pastries, baked goods, coffee, teas, etc. in East Waikiki (Diamond Head end) at Alohilani Resort (formerly Pacific Beach). Kamaaina discount with ID. Short hours so go early for best selection.Saw Jino in Hawaii's YouTube channel who spotlighted this place. He reviews in Japanese but you'll get the gist even with the language barrier. It's umalicious hallelujah approved.Croissants seem to be all the rage at the moment so the east end has a good one in LB Cafe if you don't have time for the central and west end areas of Waikiki. There is a good selection of sweet and savory stuffed croissants so go for whatever you're in the mood for.Already been here a few times to try:Mac-Nut Peanut Butter Nutella ($7). Generous with the filling and oh so good. 4.5/5 Stars.Egg Avocado ($8) Traditional egg salad with fresh avocado. 3.5/5 Stars. Just okay. Good if you're craving it. Strawberry Croissant ($8) Stuffed with marscapone whipped cream filling with a bottom layer of strawberry jam. 4/5 StarsProsciutto & Arugula ($8) Sweet from the lightly glazed croissant top & salty from the prosciutto with the chopped mac-nuts for added texture. There was intermittent pops of sweetness from the small amount of raisins added in. 4.5/5 StarsIced Latte ($6.75) - The perfect accompaniment to go with whatever pastry you choose. 5/5 StarsAçaí Bowl ($16) The price scared me so did not try. But the açaí base has peach, banana, strawberries, almond milk and oat milk.Ask for kamaaina discount if you're a Hawaii resident. If you're in the area I recommend checking it out.Overall rating 4.5/5 Stars rating up.

Located in the lobby of the Alohalani resort, the cafe is at the bar counter of La Bettola restaurant next to the hotel aquarium. I was a bit skeptical on the quality of the caffeinated beverages and edibles but I was happily surprised. I ordered an iced chai matcha latte and my boyfriend ordered the iced expresso and it was cafe quality, even better than Starbucks in my personal experience. I also ordered a strawberry cream croissant which was a delightful highlight. The croissant was buttery, the filling was thick filled but light and not overly sweet. It was reminiscent of a Japanese style bakery pastry, and there was strawberries tucked in the folds of the sandwich. Staff is bubbly and friendly. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick caffeine fix and morning snack.

This is a little cafe inside the hotel lobby. The aquarium is beautiful and tranquil. The selection of bakery items are scrumptious but come early as they do sell out of items. The coffee was yummy .

They totally forgot to put anything in my coffee when it wasn't even busy we were the first ones there! Other than that it was good after they fixed my order. Just not so good service.
