Lava Tube Waikiki

We came to Honolulu in hopes of finding existing vintage tiki style lounges, and while there are only a couple left, this place is a worthy new addition to the list of best tiki bars around Honolulu. It was obvious to us, that a lot of thought went into designing and making of this bar and we were super impressed with it all. Very cool bar, and very cool welcoming bar owner. Thanks!

The food here is good, and very decent prices for the area! They had a happy hour special for drinks too. This is kind of like a greasy spoon restaurant, and it seems like a family runs it. So just know service will be a little slow, but it's worth it with the prices!

Guys! RUN TO THIS PLACE before they realize how underpriced they are! We got there at happy hour and got our Mai Tais for $4.99. My husband ordered a beer as well. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers (which came with fries, were massive, AND loaded with all the toppings...) and our bill was under $50!! I don't get how they stay in business in Waikiki, but I'm going to try to help them keep going! Yum!!It's like an old fashioned Tiki restaurant... Very classic Hawaii

My spouse and I had a wonderful time here! We were looking for a cool spot for dinner and this place came up as an option near our hotel. We absolutely loved the ambiance since it's a little dive bar-y and has cute decorations to make you feel like you're inside a volcano. The service was kind and quick - there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant but you couldn't tell by how attentive she was! She was efficient and made us feel so comfortable. The food was pretty good - I got the the chicken lau lau plate and my spouse got the garlic shrimp - both were tasty. We also tried two drinks and both of those were delicious!Fun little spot for folks who like dive bars and silly decor - also very affordable!

Ngl, I mostly came here to sit in the sweet decor, which is like glow in the dark and made to look like it's in the inside of a cave. It was cool. The food was good too though and with decent prices, despite being in a tourist hot spot. I got the beef loco moco and added hot sauce to it, which was hella good. I also had the pina colada that came in a whole pineapple and was also delicious. Def worth stopping by!

We came with a big party and practically took over half of their space. They were very accommodating and took our orders table by table. Their drinks are definitely on the sweet side but pretty good for rum-based drinks. They have a drink that comes in a pineapple which was pretty cool. I personally didn't order it since it looked like a lot but a fun drink to order. It's definitely a no frills type of tiki bar if you're looking for that.

Before my birthday dinner, I decided to get drinks, and the Lava Tube was a nice spot for it. Going for a nice drink, a great catch up conversation and a nice customer service is what you'll expect is you come here. The Wednesday night was slow and relaxing, so it was a tranquil time for us

Really cute bar & restaurant in the heart of Waikiki. Retro Tiki bar looks drawn us inside to have a drink or two. Lava tube walls and nicely painted ceilings, flickering lights... not the most hip place in Waikiki but we really enjoyed the look of this place. And the drinks were pretty good too. We'll be back for Happy Hour $5 Mai Tai for sure!

Wife and I went here during our last trip a little while back. It was great atmosphere, I think Mai Tai were on special and they were great. The food we ordered was also good. Portion sizes and prices was reasonable. Totaly would go back

Tip was already included for a party of 3 and waitress stated it was not so we ended up leaving double tip! Horrible service too !
