Blaisdell Farmers Market
Brought these mochi to the mainland and they are a hit with family and friends.
He sells hard. But honestly it is the best butter mochi I've ever had.

I came across the Lanikai Mochi stand at KCC Farmers Market and wished I found out about them sooner! I couldn't resist buying a few butter mochis as the flavors sound so good. The Lilikoi and Black Sesame ones were my favorite! They had the perfect amount of flavor and chewiness. The Matcha and Azuki Bean were also good. I ate them a few days after I bought them and it still tasted good.

Like the mochi, very fresh at the farmers market but hit or miss in terms of freshness if purchased at grocery stores like Foodland.Did not like how curt, unfriendly, and stingy the owner was with the samples (at KCC)Also, you can get better value mochi on a stick at other kiosks at KCC.

We walked by Lanikai Mochi and decided to pop in. We sampled a few of their flavors and then decided to purchase a couple of mochi to take home. Their mochi has a delightful crispy exterior and crust, while the interior is soft and chewy and buttery - probably the best mochi I've ever had. Prices were super reasonable, and service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Interestingly, Yelp says this location is closed on Fridays but they were open. Will be back for their fresh mochis!

Where else can I get peanut butter mochi? I'm already sold, though if you need more flavors or are planning to buy a lot, perhaps go earlier in the day. One thing to note is that they share the space and entrance with another food business.Parking on the street nearby.

There were many things that made my experience at Lanikai Mochi enjoyable, but if I had to choose one, it would be the delectable mochi. The variety of flavors and textures they offer are simply amazing. The combination of the soft and chewy mochi with the sweet fillings was absolutely perfect. My son is gluten free and sensitive to preservatives. I was so happy that he can enjoy these Hawaiian treats that I bought 32 pieces. Since they are free of preservatives and are made of high quality ingredients. It is best to consume them by 1-3 days. If not consume right away then freeze them for up to one month. Yukio and Janet are amazing and kind. They really stand behind their products. I posted their detail instructions on the best way to consume these delicious Mochi.

Been wanting to try these for a long time and finally got my hands on some at the Kakaako Farmers Market. Owner was super friendly and told us if we wanted specific flavors we could place an order for pickup.Note - unless eating right away, place in the fridge. I'm guessing there are no preservatives in the product so they can go bad quickly (learned this the hard way ). I picked up the ube, original, coffee, and lilikoi. My fave was probably the ube as it was soft and chewy. The others were more crumbly. Not sure why. Waited too long to eat???Happy to have finally given them a try, though. If I do get them again, I'd eat them right away just to see if there's a difference to the texture.

Being square is a great thing you know...Yup these little cuties are the perfect bites and as I was told you don't have to fight for the corner piece which is so true and I though that was hilarious lol!! I discovered these adorable buttery golden delicious treat at the Kailua Town Farmers Market which had seven varieties to choose from (Original, Lilikoi, Cinnamon, Kona Coffee, Mac Nut, Ube and Azuki) woah!!I picked up five...gosh I know that's it!? The next thing I know they were all claimed and gone :-/ but I managed to have one for myself...Lilikoi!!! Ohhhh just the right amount of flavor and sweetness not too cray it was the absolute perfect bite with all the edges yum!! Packaging is perfect for gift giving or a snacking stowaway though the freshness is genuine and to be consumed in three days. They do constantly come up with special flavors either seasonal/holiday or for that special day of the year and you can keep up with them on Instagram @lanikai_mochi and http://www.lanikaimochi.com and can be found in many more places now in Don Quijote, Foodland Kahala and a handful of Farmers Markets. The only thing better than butter is Butter Mochi by Lanikai Mochi ;-)Thank you!!

Did I stumble upon a bad batch or something? I bought a piece at Don Quijote and it was very hard and inedible. So I heated it up in microwave a little and it got softer but still stale and weird. I did taste the lilikoi which was nice, but the packaging had no expiration date or manufactured date, and I think they were selling old batches. I'm sure they are good when fresh and I really wanted to like this place. But just can't believe they are fine with selling old stuff without date printed and charging $3 a piece. Very dissapointing.
