Lanikai Brewing - Kailua

Lanikai Tap and Barrel is a great spot with really great beer and seltzer they brew. Monkeypod, beautifully designed, tables and booths. It has an open air wall with both indoor and outdoor seating. The swing is gone. I can only imagine what happened there, ha! Pizza, charcuterie, salad, sandwiches and a few other menu items for eats. They also have cocktails!I am inspired by the owner of this place. I don't know him but I love the cultre and how they joke about "everyone who thinks they do!" What he stands for in general, great craft beer to start... the Aina, the community, how much he stepped up for Maui and the community when the fires broke out. I support as much as possible buy purchasing the beer off the shelves at the grocery stores...and it was nice to stop in again. Remember if you are visiting a beach, anything you carry in, please carry out. That is another message from most people because it is common sense, but he (owner) stands by it and isn't afraid to keep saying it!

The beers are okay, not your untappd check in of the month. The atmosphere is nice with the wooden tables and lots of interesting people hanging around. The pizza truck, Valentina's, makes good wood-fired pizza you can order from inside the brewery and eat there. No more outside food allowed. Service is fast, but more on the neutral/rushed side rather than friendly. Good for a beer or two in a cozy place if you're not a beer snob.

Friendly staff. Pillbox porter with Tahitian vanilla is a delicious dark beer and worth it on draft or in the can. Cool atmosphere of decorations. Does get a bit warm inside and airflow can lack at times so brings a fan if you have one. Some of the best bier on island and good variety of rotational taps.

The service was great and pualani sour ale was great! I won't dock them because we were very h happy with the pizza from the food truck since I did their own review. Interesting thing they do that I've never seen before was a self serve water cooler!The pizza looks far better than it is. I would never get it again.

After trying all the breweries in town, nothing beats the beers @ Lanikai Brewing for me. It's been too long since we last came here and we had a fantastic pau hana! Love the laid back ambiance here and beautiful wood tables. Service was excellent! Favorites of the Day: --Pillbox Porter (Hawaiian+Tahitian Vanilla) - this has won several awards (well-deserved). My all time favorite beer! Very well balanced dark beer. --Punalu'u Nitro Stout (Cacao + Macadamia Nuts) - this is a new April Release! I really hope they keep this beer around because it was so delicious! I don't know whether I like this one or the Pillbox Porter more. --Kainalu (Lime+Alaea Sea Salt) which is a sour ale for people who want a lighter drink. Very good! Highly recommend this brewery especially if you're in the area!

Delicious pizza in an open air, lowkey spot. Came with a couple friends on a Saturday for lunch and we were seated right away. I got the Bee's Knees, which was a great choice. Service was friendly. Look forward to coming back

Cool atmosphere. Mostly IPAs on the menu. Server took a bit to come to us, but was super sweet. Great lunch special - 12 oz draft beer with either a pizza or half a sandwich. All open with an open garage door and outdoor seating, good vibes. Definitely a nice little stop on the east side of Oahu.

Ellie took great care of us tonight and kept The close eye on our beers. We end up getting the mac nut pizza and it was pretty good, the inside was a little soggy but the outside was perfect. As always the beer selection here is fantastic, Ellie helped make our night with always having a smile when she took care of us.

Not sure how I haven't reviewed this place considering the amount of time I spend here with friends. I love this bar, the staff and the food from Valentina's Pizza. They added a garage door a few years back that makes the place a lot cooler in temperature than it used to be. My grandpa loved the pizza so much here that he requests to come back in for lunch whenever he is on island. Get the rocket it's his favorite! Come in for the craft beers, stay for the staff and the good eats!

Great vibe. Can get busy on weekend evenings. For a brewery, cocktails are on point .
