We were at the aviation Museum for the top of the tower tour when we got hungry and decided to try the Laniakea Cafe for lunch. I got the Kalua pig plate with Mac salad. My husband got the Hawaiian chicken bites and my children got the mac & cheese with french fries kids meal to share. With drinks our total came out to $63. When I first bit into the Kalua pig, I did not like the taste of it and it almost taste like charred old food. I'm not sure if it's because they cooked it on something that was not cleaned well or if it's just keeps getting reheated and it's juices and it just doesn't taste good after a while. And the Mac salad is not Hawaiian Mac salad but more of a mainland Mac salad. My husband liked his meal, but I was not a fan because it was like deep fried chicken thighs with a layer of skin. I tried everything to make my dish taste better. I put Sriracha and shoyu on it, but it did not help. The kids mac & cheese was like mac & cheese from the box. The best thing that we had was the french fries. Since it's the only place to eat at the aviation museum, we were kind of out of luck unless we wanted to leave. But I don't recommend the kalua pig because it is not very good.Service was ok. They bring out the food and you clean up your trash. The wait wasn't long thankfully.

A very pleasant surprise while touring Ford Islands Aviation Museum of WW2. Had the pig wrap. A nice bbq pork wrap with coleslaw, chips and a soft drink. Order was made for me and was very tasty. Quick service and aviation themed restaurant. Enjoyed it

My son was starving and grumpy! Not a good combo, so we stopped to grab him a bite to eat here. It was around 4pm. The service was a bit slow but to their credit I didn't know that they were closing soon. They also cooked the food fresh and it looked really delicious. The prices for burgers are higher than I'm used to but average for a museum cafe. But there were more affordable food choices that sounded good like their hot dog combos. I wasn't hungry so I didn't order a hot dog combo and just ordered the burger for my son. He loved his burger and fries. So I do recommend trying them out on your trip to the Airplane museum.

Can't beat the the location when you need a quick lunch at the Air Museum. Food was solid but nothing special. I got the Awesome Admiral Burger and fries and the burger was good and fries were better than expected. The service was nice and prompt. The cafe is in the same building as the museum and gift shop. I'd eat there again and the merch wasn't that bad.

I don't often write yelp reviews, but when I do, it's either because the place was absolutely fantastic, or absolutely atrocious. This one is atrocious. For a $15 sandwich, the sandpaper they served was downright depressing. You're on Oahu. Unless you're totally starving and can't wait to get off Ford Island, do yourself a favor and wait and eat literally anything else. It's just the most disappointing food I've ever had.The fries were decent. But the bulgogi sandwich and the impossible burger were dry and not worth the money.

Don't believe the 5 star reviews. Think Costcohotdogs and cafeteria food except the burger is $15.99 and hotdog is $4.99. The only thing edible was the onion rings. Water price was decent at $1.99. They should have remained close instead of trapping us tourist. Only 3 tables are taken.

Meh. Not impressed by any means. I got the egg fried rice (with spam and sausage). It was really quite flavorless. I drowned it in soy sauce and Siracusa and it was still inedible. My husband got the burger and fries. He liked his. Heads up that they don't ask you cooking preference, and his came medium rare. He was excited but this, but not everyone would be. Overall, it's an easy place if you're going to the museum. I wouldn't come back though.

This little cafe is just so convenient when visiting the Pacific Air Museum. There is something for everyone here and it is conveniently located right by the gift shop and admissions desk. The price was pretty decent too! For approximately $13. I was able to enjoy a grilled cheese sandwich, some edamame, and a banana! Not too bad! My only complaint is what a tight squeeze it is to find a table, especially if you have a stroller or a big diaper bag. The ambiance is grest though and nicely decorated to where it gives you a cozy hangar feel.

Love the low key ambiance of the place with many references to old Hawaii during the hey days of the war. Lots of things to take pictures of and selfie photos. The dim lighting makes for some interesting pictures if you know how to use it to advantage.Staff is friendly and couteous, they try to be entertaining but sorry it just wasn't working for me. Props for the effort though. I came here because I wanted to cool down, get something to pick me up and nibble on something.Hula Dog $7.50It did take a little while to get to me. They give you a number to place on the stand so they know where you are. When it came I thought it would hot but it was just warm. Nice hefty dog that came with fries. You put your own condiments on it. Nothing special but good if you're hungry. Iced Caramel Latte $4.50Let me say.... for the caffeine I needed.... that made it worth it. Don't expect something tasty.Overall, nice place to hang if you need to cool down like me and grab a bite to hold you over till you get some place for real.

Short review:In a pinch, when your blood-sugar levels are out of whack, eat here. Cafeteria fare food at high prices. It won't kill you, but will get you through to the next meal. If you're only a little hungry, better to just eat a Snickers instead. Long review:We came here to the Pacific Aviation Museum, as part of a package you can buy to see all of the Pearl Harbor historic sites. After all, 2016 is the 75th Anniversary of that fateful day for the US, and we wanted to do our part to observe and thank the veterans who gave their lives that day. When you buy the all-encompassing package, though, expect to be here 5-6 hours of the day to really take it all in. At about hour 4, we were starting to get a little hungry. Conveniently, there is a little cafe inside the museum, right next to the gift shop. We got what we thought are foods that can't be ruined by any cook anywhere...so we got a hot dog, a grilled cheese sandwich and two bottles waters. Both meals came with a handful of fries (literally) and were bland as hell. The best part about the meal was the ketchup we used to dip the fries in! And for the privilege of eating at this historic and fabulous monument to our past (no joke there, I highly recommend it), we paid $18.85. 30 minutes later, both our stomachs were upset from all the grease. Do yourself a favor...eat hearty before coming to Pearl Harbor. Then go grab a nice, well-cooked lunch or dinner afterwards. Life ain't worth this! 2 stars for the convenient location.
