One of my co-workers told me about this place. We grabbed lunch here one day. It's Lanakila, so they employ special needs adults. It's great that they offer them assistance and employment. They're open Monday-Friday for breakfast from 6:30am-10am and lunch from 10:30am-12:30pm.Their menu isn't huge. They have one or two specials of the day and that's it. You have to check the daily calendar and go on the days that you want. I went on Japanese Day. They served beef curry and shrimp tempura $12.50. The prices and reasonable and they give a decent amount of food for what they charge. The plate that I got was terrific. The beef curry was delicious, but the shrimp tempura was a little soggy. That's ok though, no biggie. It came with a huge scoop of rice and greens. I will check the menu and be back. I love that they have prime rib day and sweet & sour spare rib days.

Wonderful people super friendly servers and management. Mom comes here sometimes for lunch. The lines are short right before 12pm. Tables and chairs outside for convenience but mom usually does take out.Not too flavorful, soft mushy and perfect for moms needs. Kupuna meals are her go to . Thank you!

Breakfast in Liliha, Honolulu, Hawaii...When I used my Yelp app to search for a nearby restaurant, "Lanakila Kitchen" appeared. I used to volunteer with Lanakila Meals On Wheels - delivering hot meals to Senior Citizens on Thanksgiving Day with the Jaycees... it seems like the same kitchen sells meals to the community and provides a complimentary lunch from Monday through Friday to Kupuna! Wow!Located on Bachelot Street, the entrance is a bit challenging to find. I asked some construction crew members about the kitchen, and they pointed me in the correct direction... at the beginning of the property. Look for the tables outside!I ordered a Breakfast Plate (comes with a beverage - I selected a small Starbucks coffee and forgot to take a photo) at the counter - it's just $6.65, including tax! I got 2 scoops of brown ice, 4 slices of bacon, and 2 over-easy eggs! What a deal!When I saw the staff bringing out boxes fresh scones, I had to get one! For only $2.25 (tax included), I received two delicious Lilikoi/Peach scones! They were moist and soft!I told the staff that I would bring my mom back for the free lunch (today's special was Curry chicken). The cashier said that he would make an exception for today (since it was my first visit) and gave me a Chicken Curry to take to my mom! Thank you! She enjoyed it!We will be back!Note: this is mainly a takeout place.

This place is great! Food is amazing! Love their breakfast and lunch deals! If you're a Kupuna over 65 you can get free meal here! They also sell their yummy baked goods here for half the price you see in the stores! Today I ordered their breakfast plate with fried rice with bacon and scrambled eggs. Also ordered one of their cookies to go! You can't beat the prices here! They also sell frozen pre-cooked meals to go too. Not to mention daily lunch specials. Hidden gem worth checking out!

Came here to grab a quick snack during my lunch break. Food is affordable and is a great place for kupuna to grab free a meal. I appreciate their monthly menus so it is easy to decide when to stop in. There is some outdoor seating outside. Hours are limited and open until lunch time.

Bought the 1/2 Turkey complete dinner with Turkey, homemade gravy, mixed vegetables, herb stuffing, garlic mashed, pumpkin crunch, rolls/butter and cranberry sauce. There was more than enough food, beyond my expectations. The staff is wonderful. Many disabled helpers. I am looking forward to buying the Christmas ribeye roast!!!

Located across from Kuakini Hospital and Rehab Hospital of the Pacific, I always come here to get some lunch for my lunch break. You are able to sign up for email notifications from Lanikila so they can send you the daily specials. They also serve breakfast and catering as well.I come here frequently to grab some lunch depending on their daily specials. The thing I love about the email notifications is they show you the images of the daily lunch specials. I have eaten foods from their Shoyu Chicken, Lechon Kawali, Prime Ribs, Steaks, and so much more. Our coworkers love their steak and prime rib days. Their plates comes with a side of rice (white or brown), veggies, and a drink. The prices starts at $6.50 for lunch. It is also great that they staff their team with people of disabilities, so they help their communities and those to succeed. It's always great coming here to buy lunch and seeing them. Another great thing is they have ready meals that are frozen, all you do is buy them and then microwave for a nice hot meal. Great to buy for dinner or a quick meal if you're on the go.
