Let me start by saying I have driven past this pink food truck on many occasions and I'm glad I finally stopped to check it out. Two things caught my eye as I drove by, the fried catfish sign and occasionally the owner dancing outside and waving at cars! Make sure to slow down as you're passing the pink truck, turn right behind the building just past it, then follow the driveway around behind the building to park. I received a warm greeting when I approached the window. The owners were kind and engaging throughout the entire experience. I ordered fried catfish plate, which was what caught my eye in the first place and I was not disappointed. The plate came with a slightly sweet cornbread, collard greens, macaroni and cheese and corn. The catfish portion was very generous and cooked to order. Everything tasted homemade!I was so excited about the catfish that I didn't look at the rest of the menu later and we'll have to go back to try a few other things. They offered me a piece of their fried chicken while I was waiting and it was delicious! They have a small seating area available for those who want to sit down.As I was leaving, I noticed that they have a 'pay it forward' program. If you purchase an item of the menu, they will tack it on the board and when someone less fortunate comes, they will get something free to eat. As the years go by, I find the Aloha spirit missing from many interactions, but it felt alive and well at Lacoy's! I will definitely stop again and will recommend them to my friends as well. Don't miss the big pink truck!! It is worth the stop. The couple that runs it is super friendly and obviously passionate about their food.The catfish is to die for! And the greens are full of flavor. Soul food sides are so good! But on other days they have Puertican sides like gandoule rice, those are delish too!

I always passed this place on my way to schofield and for years always seen the pink wagon on the right about 1/8 mile coming off the freeway.Gotta say the husband and wife that own and run the place are the coolest nicest people. They will actually give you samples of some of their food if you are a first timer.Menu (pic) is steak (tasty and tender) shrimp burgers fries ..custom (diff toppings) fries...pastele stew ( no pork but chicken but real good) pastele lumpia...and prices are very reasonable Most of their customers was just picking up food...but they have a small tarp and four chairs if you want to chill and eat there like We did and their was a nice breeze so it was very comfortable....we can tell it is a very popular place to pick up food. Constant traffic of people coming through....definetely on the list of good places to get quality food at a reasonable price and that extra ingredient of nice people that make you smile....Go check them out !!!

Food is outstanding. Service unparalleled! Love the catfish po boy especially. Just wish it was closer to me.

Wow,the reviews wasn't wrong about this place,we had lunch today and the food was amazing,we ordered the fried catfish,fried chicken,the wife had the spicy shrimp,all plates come with 2 scoops of rice and corn at a great price,definitely my go to spot now,the two people running the food truck greeted us with a big smile and they were also so friendly,may they have much success with their business

Love this food truck! They have authentic Puerto Rican and bbq foods! Ordered their Pastele lumpia, spicy shrimp and steak plate with gandule rice, and their deep fried Oreos. Everything was so good! While I was waiting in line owners gave me generous sample of their bbq chicken and wow this was so yummy too!

After trying the smoked chicken a while ago, we had to go back to sample some of the other offerings from Lacoy's. As usual service was fast and friendly and the portions were gargantuan. I had the fried catfish she had the steak plate and we both opted to add shrimp. Both plates came loaded with my favorite corn bread, collar greens & Mac n cheese, and we also got a sample of the fried chicken. We opted to eat at the truck this time around to enjoy every thing at its optimal freshness and it did not disappoint. Sides were on point as usual steak was tender and flavorful, the chicken was crisp and tender. The shrimp had a nice crunch and breading. But the star of the show was the cat fish, crisp flaky and lightly seasoned... it was absolutely delicious. My girlfriend doesn't eat fish, but she sampled and enjoyed it as well. Once again they've completely knocked it outta the parked! Can't wait to come back again, but next time we'll probably play it safe and share a plate, but least my kid was happy since we had more than a full loaded plate of food and an incredible combo of everything to try we brought home ! Lakeside seating is nice, nothing fancy, but good food from good people!

The location is a great spot, close to where we live. The Lacoy's were so friendly and even offered samples of their smoked chicken and shrimp before purchase. I ordered the Wednesday Special, the Lacoy's shrimp and Soul food sides, So good! Their Pastele lumpias with the sauce is a must have! Not to mention their dessert of the day, Strawberry shortcake Cupcake, my girls enjoyed! Definitely will be back for the delicious and Amazing food! Definitely a must to go when you are in Wahiawa!

I stopped by this truck on a Wednesday because I'd been wanting to try it out since I'd seen their signs out in the grass, and it seemed like it would be good.I saw that they had a Wednesday Special going on, which gives you a bunch of food for the price. I inquired with the woman working the window, asking which food is their specialty. I expected to hear that their specialty was their shrimp due to their "Garlic Shrimp" signs, but to my surprise, she said it was actually their catfish.I preferred the catfish-version of the Wednesday Special for $17. The woman's husband who was cooking had overheard me talking about the shrimp, and he gave me two friend shrimp and his homemade barbecue sauce to try for free! As I was leaving at, he kindly gave me a smoked chicken leg too. All the food was delicious. The husband-and-wife duo were very kind and had really positive energy.Ultimately, this was good food for a good price from a good small business run by a kind couple. It's worth trying, if you ask me.P.S. When I had met with my coworkers at the Schofield Main Exchange to eat with them and heard that one of them had actually paid more for their food from Burger King, I knew that I had made the right choice!

Service and Food were amazing!! The arroz con gandules was perfection. Definitely recommend !!!
