La Tour Cafe

One of my favorite, locally owned eateries to chow down some ono, healthy grinds! Itʻs easy to stick to my fave things like, Crispy Goat Cheese & Beets salad, but encouraged myself to try something new this time. No doubt, if Iʻm feeling hungry and want something GOOD and ONO, AND Iʻm in the Nimitz/Costco aread, La Tour is my GO TO spot!

We haven't been here in awhile. La Tour Cafe on Nimitz is a bit out of the way for me. There are a bunch of parking stalls, but of course during meal times, it can get crowded. This parking lot is pretty horrible, since it's one way, but at least it's free.Their food is always pretty great, though. On this particular day, the fries were not as crispy and hot as we're used to. And the mac and cheese was, dare I say, too cheesy? It was definitely entering a level of gloppiness. But the pork belly banh mi on special was on point! We asked and they weren't sure how long it would be the special, but if it's still there, get it! So juicy, the bread was nice and fresh, and the fresh and pickled veg just balance everything out.

Very modern and cleanly inside. Well lit with good use of natural light. Lots of table and seating. Food was quality but the portions were small and therefore pricey.Lots of baked goods in bags for purchase at the cashier if you just need to grab and go. Nice place to study or for casual outings. Not recommended for dates or for private lunches.

Their Macarons are the best on island. No one else comes close. They have so many different flavors and the texture is very delicate with plenty of cream filling. Amazing!!

Dang those Kouign Amann are amazing! I never bought one before because it's kinda expensive and I usually just get macarons from here. I don't think I'll buy the macarons again lol, we bought some of those too and the flavors were kind of indistinguishable from each other it wasn't as good as I remember. My daughter wanted to try the Ube lemonade and it was just ok. Their paradise tea or la tour iced coffee was way better. Service here is just ok, honestly it's just a bunch of young adults that don't really smile or make conversation but they are fine I guess. Restaurant is always clean so no complaints there.

I met up with Janey since she left her bag in my car and I suggested we go eat. Not wanting to have to deal with parking, we decided to check out La Tour since she had had a almond croissant from them in the past. Well, the baked goods are a few doors down, and they only sell that krugen something. So we just ordered lunch. I got the brisket smashburger and she got the veggie burger. Both were very good but it was the garlic fries that were amaaaaaaazing! Nice and crispy and chunks of garlic. I also ordered the cheesy mac n cheese which was ok. Again, those fries were sooooo good!I also had the La Tour iced coffee which was excellent! A lot of people coming in and getting food to go. Parking is easy which is always great!Mahalo La tour!

This review is only based on their macrons. We got the 12 set of macarons and chose a couple of different flavors. We went with the cotton candy, chocolate, Lilikoi, birthday cake, and blueberry. Their macarons are great because the inside cream isn't as sweet as some can be. There is enough sweetness in just macaron themselves.My favorite flavors are the cotton candy and the Lilikoi. Always a great place to pick up a set of treats to share with anyone!

10/05/24: Went on adventure with Donna C. After swinging by La Tour Bakehouse, I walked over to nearby La Tour Cafe. Donna C. raved about the mint H20 drink here. So I ordered one for Donna and tried a sample of it. And it's delicious and refreshing.As I was about to ring up my order, the employee observed me glance at the macarons. She quickly informed me of a combo deal of a large drink and macaron for $9.48 (includes tax). SOLD!She didn't need to convince me! A single macaron is $2.99 and a large drink is $7.60. With the large drink combo, you only pay $1.45 plus tax, for one macaron! I picked the red velvet macaron for my later consumption at home!It's a bit dark inside here. Sit by the window area for more light. Overall: 4/5 stars

Parking can get pretty crowded because of all the other businesses in the area. But the mint water is what I usually come for because it's so refreshing and I can't leave without a macaroon. I've tried all the flavors and they don't disappoint. La tour café probably has the best macaroons I've ever had.I also tried the wagyu melt oh my goodness that is so good so creamy with some spiciness from the jalapenos and so flavorful it is pretty small for the price you pay and it doesn't even come with fries or chips or anything so I think they should do something about that . The prices here are already really high and most of the time you don't get what you pay for because the portions are pretty small. I'd come here more often if they had better deals and lower prices, but I do come here to treat myself. There is plenty of seating inside it can get pretty busy, but the turnout is pretty quick. The service in the front is always fast and they have always been so nice overall such a great cafe!

This has been a quick light dinner spot for me and the fam on a weeknight. Love the sandwiches on fresh bread! I recently tried the french onion soup but it was not my fave so pass on that if you are here but the burgers, salads are great and love all of the extra sauces they have. My kids always go for the macarons as a treat! They arent too sweet and very light and come in the cutest box
