La Pina Cantina

Walked by this place and saw their loaded nachos, we knew we gotta make a stop before we headed back home. Let me tell you. It did not disappoint! They loaded the nachos with lots of toppings. They did not skimp on the meat. It was perfect with a cold beer. Also, they have patio sitting for you to people watch while sipping on a cold beer and tasty nachos.Highly recommend!

Not bad. Mexican food in Hawaii has become better so I may have given La Pina a higher review earlier. 3.5-4.0 in my opinion. Started with chips and guac. The chips were heated and pretty good. The guac looked homemade but premade.The carnitas burrito was pretty good but nothing special. Same with the tacos. Pricing was expensive but understandable for Waikiki. Great location for people watching as this is one of the busiest locations in Waikiki.

My first time trying La Pina last night and I was really impressed! I tried the queso and chips first, super delicious home style chips and the queso had a hint of jalapeño flavor but was not spicy. The beef birria tacos were so GOOD, wow!!! They come in 3 and actually I shared with my boyfriend because he wasn't really hungry, and so he ate one taco. On my second one I felt it was kind of heavy and I almost couldn't finish lol. I would love to try other dishes there too.I did also get the rice and beans and didn't expect the beans to be a black bean liquidy dip kind of thing. It was hard to eat compared to regular beans but still very good. Great service, Veronica is so sweet!We sat outside in the way back though so she didn't come by too much but it was ok. There are a lot of people walking by so great for people watching!

My boyfriend and I ordered some take out on the way home from a night out. We got the Birria tacos with ramen, and the Birria Quesadillas with some chips and salsa.Honestly, the salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce... We definitely predicted they used it as a filler.. I give it a 6/10. The Hostess was such a sweet girl so 10/10 for her.

Jake was awesome! We stopped by to get some drinks. Got a Michelada and margarita. We'll try the happy hour on a different day.

Loved this place!! Everything was so flavorful and portions were perfect for sharing. The birria Ramen and tacos meal was delicious. The birria is so juicy and flavorful and so good when dipped in the ramen. The spicy salsa that came with the meal was very yummy! I'd also recommend their guacamole and beans! So fresh! The service got off to a slow start but once our server came over she was delightful and attentive. The seating is right on the sidewalk which I loved because you get to watch the people walk by.

This place is not authentic what so ever so don't expect great quality mexican good i believe every country makes food base on their country to satisfy their cravings but if you are having great expectations this is not it . We order the nachos with chicken and tacos with carne asada and it was not it the asada had to much fact like hard chewing meat and the nachos had cheese and beans from cane's not authentic. Try at your own risk

So insanely flavorful and delicious! We came here two nights in a row for the barria tacos and beer. It's located in the back of the international market on the first floor. Service was excellent. Prices were great and the tacos were incredible.

The service was phenomenal! The food was good too, coming from California we wanted more of kick we tried the Mexican salad with birria, carne asada burritos and carne asada quesadilla. It's located in the Kūhiō Food Hall. Portions were fair and the prices were Hawaiian

Coming from a So Cal Mexican food snob.....the birria tacos here are SOOO flavorful and delicious! Get the side of beans...rice is bland but salsa is decent and jalapeño margarita is fantastic!!!! Walking distance from my place in Waikiki. So good!
