I got the wagyu rigatoni and it was alright, just not worth $42 in my opinion. My friend got the uni pasta that was also $42, and that one was definitely worth it, super good!Ambiance was really pretty and parking was convenient with a free valet (get your ticket validated) Service wasn't too friendly but was efficient.Would definitely come back for the uni pasta!

Service is slow and inattentive. Food is also, you guessed it, slow. Carbonara was basically Alfredo from a jar and appetizers are nothing special. Best thing we had was the truffle fries. Did I mention service was slow? We paid the bill and the server brought bread afterwards. We had asked for it when we received our entrees. We didn't want to order dessert and wait until midnight. Overall, deeply disappointed in La Bettola, considering our bill was over $500. Will not return. Go to Arancino at the Kahala instead.

Went with my best friend to celebrate Xmas. We ordered 5 items. We had the uni pasta, carbonara, uni di Riccio di mare (sorry spelling), carpaccio and prosciutto with seasonal fruits and burrata cheese. We really loved the uni pasta and thought it was the best dish out of all that we ordered. We wish the prosciutto was a bit less fattening and thinner cut to be more airy. We had a few slices with thicker fats of meat and wasn't very appealing to eat. I remember the last time I came it was not this fattening. They forgot our burrata cheese but the waitress was very apologetic and brought it out to us after. Maybe we'll come back again if we crave uni pasta. I've also tried the La Bettola in Japan and both location is very different but still very good.

Such a cute dining area, you sit next to the tanks and get to watch the fishes while eating some delicious Italian food!! I came lastnight and got some kind of carbonara. They used heavy cream tasted more like Alfredo but it was pretty good. Im probably going to come back for more because I wanna try that Uni pasta. Anywho service here is great. Overall it's a cute place to have dinner or lunch at Alohilani report.I'm knocking 2 stars because there no ramp or elevator to get down. THIS IS NOT WHEEL CHAIR OR STROLLER FRIENDLY!***Accessibility is very important! Please make this hotel WHEELS FRIENDLY so everyone can enjoy!

Overall experience here was okay. We started with the Caesar salad and the potatoes. Both were pretty good and I would get them again, especially the potatoes. For my main, I ordered the spinach genovese and it was pretty good - it was like a pesto sauce except with spinach and there are little pieces of shrimp mixed in. I tried my friend's carbonara though and that was really good. The tiramisu for dessert was also great but the gelato it came with was overly salty. The service was okay as well. The main downside to the experience was that we were charged for 2 (pretty expensive) drinks that we didn't even order. We should've checked the bill better before we left, but it added over $30 to our bill and it just soured the experience a bit.

My aunt wanted to try La Bettola for their uni pasta and I tagged along just for the fun of it (I'm not a fan of uni to start with). Located in the Alohilani Resor lobby, this restaurant is right next to the aquarium and has a really cute ambiance. We started with the caponata, chicken liver pate, and tempura octopus. I don't think the caponata or pate were really my taste, but the tempura octopus was good. I think the tempura batter had nori mixed in and the octopus itself was pretty tender. Aunt ordered the uni pasta, which was kinda watery. I think it would've been a bit better had the sauce been thinker. I ordered the gnocchi which came with a meat sauce and zucchini. The gnocchi was delicious and the sauce complemented it well. Service was quick and friendly and for a Sunday early dinner, the place was not packed at all. Not sure I'd go back again anytime soon, but I'd be interested in trying different items the next time.

The restaurant has a very large and beautiful aquarium. It's pleasant to eat while watching the fish. The music and atmosphere are not particularly good--there is noise and music coming from the hotel lobby. The food is average, but the selection is decent. For general information, they don't have pizza on the menu. The main downside is that they don't accept cash.

Uni didnt have the best taste or smell. Uni pasta was soaking wet. Pork chop was underseasoned and no taste. The best part was the fish in the oceanarium. But most likely won't come back here again.

I was familiar with the location when it was Oceanarium and then also when it was O Bar afterwards, so it felt a bit awkward to walk in this new restaurant. But it's just me talking :D Our reservation was early on weekdays, so it was a pretty smooth ride for the service and timing of food. The food portion was generous and that also applied to drinks.Airy Sliced Prosciutto - It was tasty but nothing special about it. Just good familiar prosciutto cut thin and airy.Crème Brûlée Jidori Chicken Liver Pate - This was the most interesting dish we had that night. The caramelized pate added perfect sweetness. The portion looked small but since the pate was dense, it was actually more than enough.Spaghetti Allē Vongole Macchiato - Simple delicious pasta dish with perfectly cooked spaghetti. Could've had more clams and cherry tomatoes if I had to say something. This was the best dish of the night. I actually wanted to have Pasta Puttanesca but didn't see that on the menu.Braised Black Angus Beef Cheek - It was good but maybe a bit heavier than I expected. I wish there were more mashed potatoes instead of chips. It was still good and so soft that didn't really need the knife.Drinks - We had Italian Mai Tai, Honey Girl Margarita and Old Fashioned. I wasn't too impressed with Mai Tai but other two were nice and strong.Overall, this place is a decent Italian restaurant. However, considering the fact that it is the most difficult Italian restaurant to make a reservation in Japan, it was a bit underwhelming. I'd say forget all the hype and just simply enjoy the food. It is good, after all.
