L&L Hawaiian Barbecue

Dropped by the Kapolei location to place an order to go to take to our favorite cove to watch the sunset.Not too busy at the time although the counter person was busy taking orders over the phone. She was very personable taking our order. Which was a combo of Kailua Pork and cabbage and Pork Lau Lau with rice and side. Ordered a small salad as well and one drink. As I mentioned we went to our favorite cove with our meal in hand. There was more than enough food to feed us both. The Kailua Pork was moist and tasty. The Lau Lau was a bit dry but made up for it in quantity. The Salad was fresh and crisp. Nothing like dinner with an amazing view, best entertainment ever for $22 for two. Nature creates the best ambiance.

Disappointing! Ordered Chicken Katsu for our Super Bowl party only to have hard, thin, overly cooked chicken!! Come on, please do better! Im generally a fan of your Katsu, but ordered it at the wrong location. Kapolei Parkway never disappoints, but this location...

Long time anchor tenants at the Kapolei Shopping Center across from Juliez next to Safeway. Locally owned and operated. Very friendly and efficient staff. Significant improvement in food quality and preparation. Perfect for any occasion. Especially for those last minute Potlucks.

Ordered a mini teribeef today at 11:41 am.. when i got to the beach and opened my plate i was disappointed.Meat was dry and hard.. think reheated leftover. Mac salad was given extra dollop of mayo.Not happy at all

We learned something new tonight. That all L & L locations are individual different franchise owners. What a difference in quality of food at the Kapolei location. I ordered from a very sweet and positive lady that made some helpful suggestions. I chose the Garlic Ahi Healthy plate with brown rice and tossed salad. Beautiful presentation of two very large filets of Ahi sautéed with garlic over a generous and crispy fresh salad with carrots and crunchy cucumbers with large cup of tarter sauce and soy for my rice!I was so happy after having a terrible experience at the kunia location! I noticed they have a fried oyster plate which I will order next visit. The Unagi plate also tempts me for next visit. This is by far the best L & L location.

The chicken katsu was ono! It stayed crispy through the next day! The spam musubi however was good but it had an after taste of plastic wrap so I won't be having that again unless they wrap it with something else. I'll come for the katsu again!

Ok folks I know L&L is just meh! But all L&L's are not created equal, some are better than most. This L&L is one that outstanding. New franchise owner for 2 years, before 2 years never touched this place the food was not good. We finally tried it again after 12years, to our surprise! This place is hands down! Many choices to choose from , I personally think it beats locomoco up the mall a few ways. Not only generous portions but tasty a big plus! We sure will be back! Next time going for the salt n pepper pork chop or the unagi plate

L&l is pretty predictable but, this location was decent. It was fast and the food was pretty good this day. Plenty of meat and Mac salad. I definitely never worry about not having enough to eat later. Got some sriracha on the side in little cups. I got a mini plate for the kids to share and they even had leftovers. $20 ish for the two plates.

Bad food. I got loco moco. Super salty and no flavor. Mac salad was eh. We also got the bbq mix. Ribs were so tough we couldn't cut it with the plastic utensils. I am super disappointed. And our total came out to 87. Dont come here. Cashier was giving us attitude

I ordered a mini party plate of Pork Katsu. The meat appeared white and did not look like regular pork. I called the restaurant to confirm if there had been a mistake, and the lady who answered insisted it was indeed pork, speaking with a yelling tone. I guessed it could be made with pork fat. Since no one wanted to eat pure pork fat, the plate was discarded. I recommend verifying the ingredients used before placing an order from this restaurant.
