Kuono Marketplace

I guess like most folks in Honolulu, when shopping in the Kahala area, the tendency is to gravitate to Kahala Mall.But lately, I've been visiting Kuono Marketplace. A low tise strip mall that has Kahala Mkt. by Foodland for groceries and numerous eateries, from J. Dolans to Daiichi Ramen. Shell gas station and Straub clinic are at opposite ends of Kuono.I have only been to BBQ Chicken, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Kahala Mkt, and Great Clips. A nice selection of local businesses and corporate chains. Parking lot could've been better planned and it is always full but there are entrances and exits on the Waialae Avenue and Hunakai Street sides. Stall width allows for bigger vehicles.

The place to get things done...As many shopping area are being torn down only to go massively vertical I'm so thrilled that they didn't do that here knowing how dated it has become what they did is just phenomenal!It's almost incomprehensible of the previous structure to have it taken from us not knowing what was in the plans as I did visit it quite frequently and just having it was nice alternative to venture out at Kahala Mall.Considering the space they worked with I'm sure the traffic flow was the real challenge as sometimes it still confuses me so I just grab a stall when I do find one so that I'm not in a situation that forces me to exit the area which do happen quite frequently lol!As it slowly filled up from some vacant spots I do love the varieties they have to offer from snacks at Wholesale Unlimited, to eats at BBQ Chicken, J Dolan, and Daiichi Ramen, sips at Lanikai and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, or how about a Unicorn Butt Sneeze from Purvé Donut, get glamed at Drybar or Kahala Nails, gas filled, or need that Urgen Care...all done here!Welcome Capriotti's Sandwich Shop which just opened recently, and I do believe Yohei Sushi will be joining us this winter...and you think this is awesome you'll see a few water features that are simply soothing and beautiful there's a plaque which explains some history of the Wai'alae area that I have no idea and is a great humbling fact.Come visit Kū'ono Marketplace as it has so much to offer...Thank you!

Shopping and dining in Kahala, Honolulu, Hawaii...Ku'ono Marketplace is a relatively new strip mall across from Kahala Mall on Waialae Avenue. Currently, the anchors are J. Dolan (known for their pizza) and Straub Clinic. In-between, the largest business is KAHALA MKT. by Foodland. It's an upscale grocery store and houses the restaurant "et al.".I've been to bb.q Chicken, Purve Donuts, KAHALA MKT, J. Dolan's, et al., and DryBar. I want to visit Wholesale Unlimited Express and look forward to the second location of Yohei Sushi.I appreciate the free shared parking and have to learn to follow the traffic pattern. I went around the Shell Gas Station and couldn't make a left turn back to the shops... Haha! I need to just follow the straight path and exit the way I entered!

We came to Kuono Marketplace yesterday for a drink at Lanikai Juice. This is such a cute little marketplace located across of Kahala mall. Some stores we seen were: J Dolan, wholesale unlimited, foodland, purve donuts, daichi and more. After getting a drink at Lanikai juice we took a little walk in the shopping center to check out the different stores. Lots of parking available.

Kuono Marketplace.. such a gem of a shopping Center. Decided to checkout this small, but filled with small shops shopping center. I was impressed with all the small shops with plenty of attitude. Lots of parking across from street from Kahala Mall. I've seen this shopping center many times, but never had the time to stop. There are so many shops to visit with all types of venues. Far corner is J. Dolan's popular for its build-your-own pizza options, Purvé Donut Known for their creative flavors, Kahala MKT. by Foodland with creative grab-and-go cuisine, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf my favorite tea place, drybar... get $10 off your first blowout just for signing up!, Daiichi Ramen best Japanese Ramen in all of Hawaii, Lanikai Juice serving healthy and fresh smoothies and Wholesale Unlimited Express the destination for your favorite local snacks are just a few shops you'll find in this cute shopping center. Everyone was very friendly and people were sitting in at outside tables just enjoying the day.... I will definitely be visiting again soon....

Tried Kuono Marketplace and enjoyed the Turkey sandwich and the pastrami sandwich, The gravy was like soup do thin. The French Fries was sooo thin like they squeezed out alll the goodness, different but not my favorite. Would try the sandwiches again, and look forward to trying the waygu steak but the gravy and fries need help , and what happened with the mashed potatoes (?) they just opened and the don't serve it anymore (???!!) wass up with dat ???

Breakfast at et al. is what brought me and the spouse to this tiny, new strip mall in the Kahala area.ATMOSPHERE:The single level, outdoor mall is a bustling beehive as it looked like the majority of the spaces were occupied. Businesses are a mix of eateries, a medical facility and services including hair and nail salons. Ku'ono Marketplace is a the newest shopping complex to open up in East Honolulu. Located in Kahala on Waialae Avenue and across of the long standing Kahala Mall.There are a mix of businesses that are open already or in the process of opening with signage outside showing what's to come. The mix of a Market (Kahala Mkt), Eateries (Et al Restaurant, Daiichi Ramen and a Cafe coming soon). Other places that have opened, Kahala Drybar, Engel and Volkers, Lanikai Juice, Kahala Nail and Straub Clinic. Soon to open are places that I personally am excited to see shortly are Purve Donut, Wholesale Unlimited and Beerlab. There is also going have businesses like Great Clips to get a haircut, Territorial Savings Bank and a Service Station to fill up your ride.I like the mix of different businesses that this Marketplace has and will have in the near future. Great addition to the East Side, Waialae Kahala Area.

Found this jewel in the shopping center of Kuono Market place. Crack seen type shop . All sorts of snacks and not to bad in price A good stop for snacks and gifts to take home

Nice place to shop and eat but forget going early. Outside chairs are chained up until 9-9:30 am on weekdays later on Sunday! Really! Coffee and food places are open earlier.
