One of the best old school places to grab okazuya style bentos. The chicken is the best when it just comes out of the fryer. But equally as delicious eating at room temperature. The auntys that work there are nice and pleasant.

I loved coming here as a child and would come here often growing up even as an adult. This was the place to go for a quick bento pick-up.There are no tables for sitting inside. It's a small shop with bentos on the shelf and some additonal items for sale. It's basically the items in the bento which you can buy separately and they have regular musubis and chicken musubis as well.I remember the prices were $5 for a small bento and $6.25 for a large bento. Of course prices went up as the years passed which is understandable. The bentos are $11 for a small bento and $13 for a large bento. I was a bit disappointed as the chicken was really tough to eat and there was not much flavor like in remembered in the pastEverything still tasted the same which I was glad. There are several stalls in the front for parking. It's good to go as early as possible because they do run out of bentos.I hope the chicken gets better and stays consistent as I and I'm sure others have enjoyed it in the past.

I recently had a friend visit from Hawaii and he brought my husband and I a bento from K's Bento Ya. It was delicious! I don't get home sick often but eating this bento made me miss local food back home.

Let me just say I have not ate K bento since I was in high school back in 2008. I stopped by since I had Dr in Waipahu area. It was the same screen door you go through and the two different type of bentos on the wall lined up like before. K bento is located in Waipahu right under sunny D ukuleilei shop. It's the go to place for a quick lunch or for field trips. There bento with garlic chicken, musubi rice, steam egg and half of hot dog. Can't go wrong same flavor with great taste. It was like a flash of childhood all over again.

Hole in the wall bento shop in Waipahu. About 4 parking stalls out front. Very mom & pop style with sweet service. $10 bento includes 2-3 pieces of chicken, a pice of maki sushi, 2 other pieces of Sushi rice & a third of a hot dog. Musubi is $2.50.

3 pieces of fried subtly sweet chickenHalf a hot dogLayered eggOishi sushi fan shaped with red and green toppingMusubi triangle with thin nori wrapperMaki sushi w/tuna, egg & bonitoThe taste remains the same over the past 18+ years that we've enjoyed their bentos. Just look with your eyes and if you've had this once, your memory retains how it tastes/ filling and delicious!

Slightly different from the last time over 5 yrs ago...I had to have my car serviced at the nearby Servco, so I decided to stop by here to get a small bento for brunch. The last time I had it was 5+ years ago ...and it was really good back then, so why not get one now if I'm already in the area?Price has increased to $10 for the small bento, but it still has the 3 pcs fried chicken, musubi, 1 piece Maki sushi, another piece sushi, 1/2 hot dog, and egg. Somehow, the chicken skin isn't as crispy as I remember, even though I picked this bento up relatively early at 730 am ish. Not as much of the garlic/Korean sauce too, so it wasn't as flavorful as I remember it. So it is *okay* for the price. A bit step down in taste (but sushi was fine). Nevertheless, it is still nice to see these small family establishments continuing!

I haven't been here in years and I remember the food being pretty good. However, it was my Husband's first time here and it'll most likely be his last time. It's in a very sketchy area and have a small parking lot. We walk in and it really is a whole in the wall. They had their betos stacked with large and small bentos. They also had their sushi near the register. My Husband and I each grab a small bento. We took it home to eat and a couple bites into his food, I notice he suddenly stops eating and I ask him why. He tells me he found a bug lodged in his chicken. So I lose my appetite ad well and tossed our food. Mine seemed fine but the chicken was hard, taste was ok, and I don't really like cold food so even if my Husband wouldn't have found that bug, I would've eaten the same amount. Overall, this place was less than mediocre and won't be back. Inspect your food before eating. Just saying.
