Rarely drive to the Windward side. Heard about this place from a friend that said KJ's is known for the Fried Chicken AND they give a lot so decided to give it a try. We ordered the Fried Chicken plate and Garlic Chicken plate. Brought it home and opened up the containers...my friend wasn't kidding! One container had 4 large pieces of Fried Chicken and the other had 5 long pieces of Garlic Chicken...wow! My husband and I aren't big eaters so this fed us for 3 meals each. Both chickens were really tasty and would order this again. Looking over the menu, can't wait to go back to try all the other items.Bring CASH if you don't want to pay 3% fee for debit and credit card transaction. This place is located in the Windward City Shopping Center and there's a lot of parking.

Honestly, I don't know how they make a profit here. They serve up some great portions and the chicken is cooked to perfection. We've tried the Garlic and Furikake chicken, and they were both delicious. Make sure you order ahead because they get busy in there. Their mac salad is "different" as they use spaghetti noodles and tuna, which is a nice twist and i really like their pickled cabbageThey fill the to go box so full, the lid pops open. Super generous portions for the reasonable price.

The food here is amazing. The menu consists of all of the local favorites, but it is their fried chicken that keeps everyone coming back. The chicken is extra crispy, juicy, and flavorful. Their Mac salad is also the perfect compliment to their chicken. The Mac salad is made with spaghetti noodles and tuna, but pairs very well with everything. We ordered a pan of fried chicken and 10 scoops of Mac salad for a family pot luck, needless to say that everyone loved our dishes. The service is always quick and courteous. There are times when they get busy, which negatively impacts service times especially if your order items that are made to order. The ambiance is very basic, like a typical plate lunch restaurant that serves local style food. You get basic tables and chairs that are clean and functional, nothing fancy or luxurious. If you want good local food in a no frills atmosphere this is your place to go. It definitely beats L&L in terms of food quality, taste, and variety.

Thanks to jaycation, one of my husband's you tuber that he regularly watches, we went upon his recommendation since we were in the vicinity. The line that we saw just said it all. My husband tried to go to the Mexican place next door as it was small with hardly seating inside but I was like no, we came here because it was supposed to be good, lets just wait till a seat opens up or we can go outside somewhere and find a place to eat, Im sure it has a long line because its just that good so yes we waited. We ordered our food and they had a sign next to it which said some of their dishes they were out of. My husband was disappointed as he had to settle for pork adobo instead of garlic chicken. As we waited for our order as it did take a while, a table did open up. As we sat and waited, the line never got short. Understandably so, the food was so good. The furkake chicken plate was so good, really flavorful and the Mac salad was different as they use spaghetti noodles and bits of tuna. My husband enjoyed his adobo very much and my son loved his cheeseburger; however, the shoe string French fries were not what we expected and could've been better but no star taken off for less than desirable French fries. I thought the mini-plate I order had a good amount of food. When we go back and yes, we will certainly come back, we plan on trying the garlic chicken and mochiko chicken plates.

Craving fried chicken on a Sunday afternoon. K J's satisfied the craving. The menu has a variety of chicken dishes plus local favorites. Service is quick. It seems that take out is the popular choice but there are a few tables if you want to dine in. Ambiance is simple and restaurant is clean. The fried chicken plate comes with 4 thighs, 2 scoops of rice and we chose the Mac spaghetti noodle salad as our side dish. Sorry no picture but the thighs are fairly large. In fact I ate two of them and saved the rest for my home lunch the following day. Very tasty and fairly moist. We went around 3:30 on Sunday and they close at 5pm so luckily they didn't run out of fried chicken. The fried chicken definitely satisfied my craving.

I heard people raving about their furikake chicken so I knew I had to try. I came here on my lunch break and I got worried about the long line. I was even thinking about leaving when I realized the line was moving quick! They were taking orders quick and bringing them out fast too. The chicken was really yummy and I love their tuna mac salad with spaghetti noodles. For a mini, they give so much! For $10 this was a great lunch plate. I definitely want to try more of their plates.

I have never had anything like the Mac Salad at KJ's! Absolutely delicious and pairing it with the Furikake Chicken was the perfect combo! Plenty of parking and not a long line when I ordered but they can get busy & I can totally understand why!

KJs! support local! ! A Kaneohe long time nostalgic local place to get grinds. They're known for their fried chicken plates which one plate contains 4 huge fried chicken thighs and two sides for $13. Sides includes tuna mac salad, rice, green beans, corn, kim chee. More than enough food for one person. This place is always crowded with never ending phone orders and catering, best to come early and usually have to plan to wait 20-30 min for more chicken to be fried if coming during busy times. The chicken has sometimes been hit and miss over the years but today's Father's Day fried chicken was on point. Juicy, crispy skin, so good!

Recently I stopped by KJ's for the first time and I got a delicious bento that included both fried chicken and furikake chicken. They were both absolutely fantastic! The fried chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy, while the furikake chicken packed a punch of flavor. And let's not forget about the hotdog, it was a nice addition to the meal. Trust me when I say you need to try this place for yourself. I can't wait to come back and indulge in more of their tasty dishes.
