Khan Skewer Restaurant has been around for a few years and I had no idea how popular this neighborhood gem was! Known for their authentic Mongolian-style BBQ, skewers are made fresh daily and served fully cooked. They include a variety of meat, seafood, and vegetables. The extensive menu also offers appetizers, side dishes, and chef's specials. As for drinks, they have a selection of wines, beers, sake and sodas. The restaurant holds about 10 tables and can accommodate large parties. It's a cozy, relaxed space and service was great. To start, we opted for the super fun DIY drink station that includes four bottles of beer and one bottle of flavored soju. The drinks are dispensed from a fruit filled LED lit container. So great for parties! For our meal, we started with beef, Maui venison, chicken thigh, and pork belly with asparagus skewers and followed it up with salt and pepper corn, enoki mushrooms, and eggplant. My favorite skewers were the chicken and pork belly, but I loved the veggies even more! Definitely recommend ordering those veggies to pair with your favorite meats. We also tried the calamari, grilled garlic oysters, grilled garlic lobster tail, and scallops with vermicelli. I'm not a huge fan of oysters and scallops, but I really liked the vermicelli with the scallop. The lobster and calamari were delicious. Included in your meal is the first serving of Snow fluffy milk ice which was sweet, creamy, and refreshing. Khan Skewer Restaurant has a daily happy hour from 9pm with 10% off food. Reservations can be made on Open Table.

It was a nice place to try skewer type food for the first time. Had a reservation at 9 on 2/14. Was immediately greeted & seated! I swear we brought the crowd cause it became a full house right after! It does get squishy in there when busy, like too close for comfort.. There was a situation where a party left because another party had a cockroach fly on them & the waitress blamed it on the front door opening??Nonetheless, service was nice, fairly quick which is always questionable especially when it comes to meat being served. After they cook the meat they put it on the pan wooden box which contains 3 tiny candles; purpose is to keep the meats warm throughout dinner. Which actually does work, you could hear the meats sizzling! Food: 8/10- we got medium spice for the meats we ordered; seasoning so potent but it literally tastes like chorizo. I understand it's Mongolian but it's all chorizo lol. They have "side dips" which was just chili powder & pineapple sauce, didn't care for either.Beef Brisket w/ Tendon: 4/10Pork Jowl: 9/10Chicken Gizzard: 7/10Pork Belly : 8.5/10Beef Tongue: 9/10Spicy Wonton: 5/10Chicken skin: 9/10Not pictured was the Arabiki sausage is obviously 10/10 always lol can't go wrong with arabiki. Their Chinese buns w/ condensed milk: 4/10. The condensed milk was watery! Their complimentary shave ice was okay as well. The peach flavor tasted tooo artificial; corn flakes cereal made it a tad bit better. And the 2 valentines desserts were tres leches, the vanilla one was good!

Food: Spicy beef tongue skewers 2/5 it was mostly just the chili powder spice mix lacks depth of flavor. Garlic clam vermicelli 4/5. Eggplant 4/5 good flavor for both, I would recommend. Comes with free dessert, thought the peach flavor was okay the cornflakes are a nice touch. Service: Food came out really fast (almost suspiciously so), service was curt but accommodating. Parking: There's spots at and around the restaurant and street parking. Overall: Not many places on island that's open late it's a chill hangout spot for some nibbles and drinks.

I would like to start of this review by saying the whole entire meal I kept saying, "Wow this is so good."I've been to Khan Skewer before, but I was meeting my boyfriend at the end of his meal so I only had a glass of wine and a bite..... or a few of his free dessert... wait did someone say free?!Last week my boyfriend and I were deciding on what to eat for dinner and mind you, we've been around town, but I wanted to try Khan Skewer from the many good things he said about it the first night he went. The soonest reservation I could make that day at 7:30, which was an hour out and we weren't that hungry yet so I didn't mind waiting at home till it was time to leave. When we got there, I was so shocked how busy it was! They made us wait around ten minutes to clean the table, but we were sat fairly after. We ordered the gizzards, beef tongue x2, mushroom medley, garlic scallops, and corn. Seems like not a lot of food, but I was so so stuffed by the time we left. You get two options of spiciness for the skewers which was mild and spicy. Of course we got the spicy! My favorite thing ever was the beef tongue and the garlic scallops. The beef tongue wasn't too spicy but was super soft. The spices they use for the skewers is unbeatable. They also offer a pineapple sauce that gives a good amount of acidity to the spice as well as another spicy dipping power, which was phenomenal. The garlic scallops were doused in garlic and glass noodles and had a small thai chili on top for a bit of a kick. I wouldn't recommend getting this if you're planning on kissing boys in the club after! After our meal, they gave us three flavor options of the free dessert I mentioned earlier which was lilikoi, chocolate, and peach. We chose the lilikoi and it was a great complimentary sweet treat to complete our super spicy meal. The cornflakes were a great touch of crunchiness. I will definitely be back!

TLDR: One of our favorite meals on Oahu! Skewers were all super flavorful, and we loved that the meal came with dessert. Top 3 were the king oyster mushroom, pork belly, and beef. Must make a reservation ahead of time, this place is super popular. Small parking lot outside the restaurant was very convenient. ------FOOD:1. King oyster mushrooms (5/5)2. Pork Belly (5/5)3. Beef (5/5)4. Enoki Mushroom (5/5)5. Snow fluffy milk ice (5/5) 6. Eggplant (4.5/5)7. Chicken Skin (4.5/5)8. Lamb (2/5) - Unfortunately the only one we didn't like. Pretty gamey taste, even to those who typically love lamb. ------SERVICE:* Good service but the restaurant seemed generally understaffed. Despite being understaffed, the waiters were all so kind and patient, and they were more apologetic than they needed to be in our opinions!------ENVIRONMENT / AMBIANCE:* Perfect spot for a group of friends to grab dinner and drinks after a long day out* Definitely more of a casual spot in the suburbs -- will need to drive / Uber if you're staying on Waikiki, but it's a very short drive * Nice neighborhood feel and the parking lot outside the restaurant made things super convenient

Honolulu Restaurant Week Dinner...We hit a jackpot!I originally wanted to dine at Khan Skewer Restaurant because my Yelp friend, Andy, checks in at this establishment so much that he is The Duke! It must be good, right? Our group of nine decided to celebrate "Friendsgiving" and agreed to try Khan Skewer Restaurant. The day we selected happened to occur during Honolulu Restaurant Week, so we got a DEAL!!!For 2 to 3 people, the set menu was:Edamame with Garlic Mushroom Medley 3 Skewers each of Pork Belly, Wagyu Beef, Maui Venison, and LambEggplantDeep fried Chicken Tenders Scallop with vermicelli Snow Fluffy Milk Ice - we chose peach flavor Each set came with 2 bowls of white rice... which was more than enough! Note: There were two condiments: red chili powder mix and a pineapple hot sauce... i gave mine away! The gals sat together and ordered "no spicy".We were stuffed!Everything tasted great and had wonderful presentation! The place was clean; the service was attentive;the restroom was convenient; and the parking was FREE!They were so nice to allow us to place our cake in their refrigerator, bring it out on a platter with a candle, and play a Happy Birthday song on the PA system! We had a wonderful time with fond memories! Thank you!

I recently visited Kahn Skewer House in Honolulu for their Restaurant Week special, and it was a good experience! The skewers were seasoned and grilled in their kitchen, not like other skewer restaurants. Each course of the special menu was quickly served, with portions that left us satisfied but wanting to come back to try more. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was attentive and welcoming, making sure our needs were met throughout the meal.

The other night some of us friends celebrated someone birthday at Khans. Khans took over the old location of AGU ramen located next door to St.Louis alumni hall on Isenberg St.It was resturant week so we all ordered a set menu for 3 . Came with an appetizers, 4 types of skewer , scallops, egg plant and a mushroom medley and dessert all to share .The skewer consists of Beef, Pork belly, Lamb and Venison. My favorite was the Pork Belly. I would definitely go back again but I would try something different next time Support local , service was great and there's parking available.
