I spent the day at Waimanalo Beach and was looking for a nearby spot for lunch. Saw this place was nearby and had some pretty good reviews and decided to give this place a try! There was a few people in line in front of me and a line started behind me as well. I ordered the three item combo with chicken katsu, mochiko chicken and bbq chicken. The combo comes with a side of mac salad and white rice. The wait for the food was a bit long, I'd say up to 20+ minutes. Everything was made to order so prepare to wait. They have a private outdoor seating area with benches as well as tables for you to enjoy your food. It is spacious and tidy. The chicken katsu was my favorite among the three options I ordered. It was crispy and hot. The bbq chicken had a nice smokey flavor and the mochiko chicken had a similar taste/texture to the chicken katsu. Overall, delicious! Definitely give this local spot a try if you're ever in the area!

We went to Waimānalo beach and found this after! We all got plates with different meats. I got the coconut shrimp, teriyaki beef and teriyaki chicken. It came with Mac salad and i chose fries over rice. One of my fav things I ate on the island. Get the blue Hawaii smoothie! So delicious! Good bang for your buck!

Where are the reviews? It's busy when I stopped for lunch and got some teriyaki chicken. It's good. And they give plenty. It was rainy and I had to take out. The wait was short. The food was hot. The char on the chicken tells me it was right off the grill. The service was attentive.

This was one of our must-stop places every time we visit Oahu.We've been here quite a number of times over the years. It's kind of become a tradition. We love to go to the nearby beach for the day and then finish up with a good shave ice at Keneke's. This trip wasn't as good, as you can see there looks like there's more ice than there is any kind of flavoring or snow cap. In years past the flavoring really showed and came through. Unfortunately we also witnessed our shave ice maker going outside to deliver some food wearing the same gloves she used to pack the ice down with. I mean it's kind of pointless to wear a glove and use your hand on something that's not clean like a door handle and then come back and use it on a food product, right?That's just something too hard to overlook for me.

Nice people. They were out of some flavors and the ice was a little hard but still kept coming back. We also tried the food. It was pretty standard burger but reasonably priced.

This is a walk-up restaurant located in the heart of Waimanalo town. There is one window to make your order and pay and another for order pick up. There are no tables for sitting nor an area inside for dining. This is only a walk up/take out. I had never eaten here but was told the food was good, so I decided to try it out since I was in the area.I made a phone order for:1) Teri-Beef Sandwich ($8.50]2) Shoyu Chicken Plate (lunch special, comes with a drink for $12.99)When I was in line, I asked a few patrons waiting for their food what was good. One said they always go there for their loco moco and another said their hamburger steak was also really good. I'll have to try it next time.The employee who took my order was very nice and I believe was the same person who was at the order counter. My food was ready in 15 min, which was great. There was a line when I got there. Many ordering lunch and shave ice.The Teri-Beef Sandwich was on point with lots of meat. The bread was soft and it included lettuce, tomato, and onion. All it was missing was some mayo but an easy fix with some packets. I would definitely order this again.The shoyu chicken on the other hand, was a disappointment. It came with 2 scoops of rice and a scoop of mac salad. I went in and ate a piece of chicken. It was very dry that I couldn't eat any more. I wanted so much to like it as it looked good, but just couldn't do it. I was really bummed as several other reviews shared that the shoyu chicken was worth ordering and on point. I probably will not order this again.I would like to give this place another try to see if there are other items that are good.

If you're ever cruising through Waimanalo with an appetite for local grindz, this is a must stop! Four stars for their generous sized portions. Don't expect a nice restaurant style ambiance or seating, but rather appreciate it's a pit stop to make that will satisfy your local style food pallet.We ordered the Garlic Chicken plate and Mochi Chicken plate, served with Mac salad and rice. The garlic chicken didn't have the taste I hoped for because it was a little more on the sweeter side, but it was still pretty good. The mochi chicken was pretty on point and would def order that again. I'd say the service took about 15-20 min considering there was a good amount of customers in line. Excited to try something different the next time we pass by.

Took the kids for shave ice as we were headed to waimanalo beach. Ordered 3 rainbows and they made all three different colors which my kids loved! It was delicious. Service was fast thank to the Hawaiian tita (who's brother stationed in the army of fort Lewis) she made small talk with us and just talking about how different Hawaii is getting as we moved away for 5 years. It was nice to talk stories with people. Ambiance is mom and pops, but served with aloha.
