This place is AMAZING!!!! Oh the flavors, the depth of the spices. You can taste the time the meats have taken to marinate and cook. The poke was so fresh and the way they combined it with the pork was unbelievable. Even the nacho chips had the most amazing flavor to them. This plate was so big you need to share!! The street tacos are the best I have had here!! Service top notch, they made my food personal for me, with spice level that would satisfy my soul. Love the little dinner ambiance, wanted to take pics but was in a rush due to my work schedule, but trust and believe I will be back!!!! All his pics of him picking out the fresh fish super cool! One of my Top fave places now!!!

It's been awhile since I have been back here but I brought my boyfriend and daughter here for lunch and it was pretty busy but it paced down after a certain time. My boyfriend and I love the poke nachos here. So good. They ran out of poke so we decided to get the pulled pork nachos. Still good and my daughter got a Mexican plate. She enjoyed it. Service was kinda lacking because they were busy but that's expected. It's fairly small inside but food is always good here. A must try. Definitely recommend this place.Parking is directly up front and around..

This place is a gem. My wife and I were in Honolulu for a short trip and were looking for a good local spot for dinner. This place is on a corner, in a regular neighborhood. Nothing fancy here. Really, nothing at all and that's a good thing. They aren't trying to lure the tourists, but are making simple fusion cuisine for the local blue-collar folks. We ordered more than we needed, simply to try more things on the menu. Everything was excellently prepared and you can tell this place takes pride in serving good food. I particularly liked the Kim Chee fried rice and hurricane chicken. These were delicious and creative. Portions are generous and you will not leave hungry. The atmosphere is really just "you get what you get, and you don't get upset". It's basic. Mostly an outside order and go place on the corner. They have an indoor seating area and will bring your food to you if you eat there, but it's not a table service restaurant. The indoor dining area is more of a place to escape from the weather. It's basic and partly used for storage. Even so, it's clean and a perfectly fine place to enjoy the food. The staff / owners are clearly passionate about serving tasty meals that don't break the bank. They were friendly all around and very patient with two newcomers who weren't familiar with the menu. If you are in town and looking for a break, something authentic, and something local, this is the place. Hands down.

Had this place booked marked for some time and was excited to try some items I've been eyeing. I really wanted to like this place but it fell short for my friends and I. We were so excited to try the poke nachos but when it came out it did not look like the pictures on yelp. Instead the poke was drenched in sauce to the point that you could not taste the chips or fish. The plate itself is a really good size and there is plenty of poke but they overdo it on the sauce I couldn't even eat it. I ended up fishing the poke out and taking that home and leaving the chips and sauce behind.Squid luau, I've been craving this as I always do and this definitely fell short. Lacked in flavor and the flavor that was there is sweetness. Very little chunks of squid I think I had 4 total.Staff was nice and we were seated right away. The restaurant is a bit smaller but there was a pretty consistent flow of people going in and out. Probably would come back to try something different if I was in the area.

Their Poke Nachos is really good. I had Lau Lau combo, and had some bite of beef stew. They were okay. The one biggest disappointment was the rice. Super mushy. The texture was terrible. It was like I'm eating dampened Kleenex. The rice ruined everything. :( Their customer service was really nice!!!! I'll go back to the restaurant just for the poke nachos!

Let me just start off by saying I had really high hopes for this place because the girl on instagram rest hyped it up... Service: The aunty behind the counter was kinda friendly I mean she had her moments. Maybe it's just dry humor but I kinda didn't like how she came off at times. Or maybe just language barrier. We ordered, I know I said loudly what I wanted which was the special with the Laulau... when we got our food I didn't get my laulau. So she took my plate back and brought it out later. My other half ordered the short ribs, which took pretty much the whole time to cook, we were done eating by the time that came out. To which another man comes in and ordered smoked meat with Lomi salmon... aunty gives us HIS plate instead of the short ribs so we tell here "this isn't ours... we ordered the short ribs" she gets so confused and goes oh yeah I know..... (ummm why did you give it to us then?). Food: So I'll say out of everything we got, the poke nachos were the best. Despite the service and whatever that was probably the only good thing out of this place. NEVER get the poi. It's definitely refrigerated chunky and sour. Now I don't mind sour poi but the texture was hella nasty, and usually when you eating at a restaurant sour poi is a negative! The laulau was alright. We also ordered chicken long rice, but aunty came out and told us the cooks in the back said it tasted nasty, so we canceled that pretty fast. The Kalua pig was alright. Nothing great. Needless to say all the food was mid. Ambiance: it's a small whole in the wall restaurant, located across the only bed bath & beyond. Next to 711. Parking is easy, lots of it. It's also on the bus line if you don't drive. Maybe you'd have better luck coming here and trying their food. I don't think I'll be coming back.

The rumors are true! We came here to order their Pua's To Da Poke Nachos and they were amazing! Prices did go up since the first video that went viral on social media. It is now $24. And it's SHARABLE! We had the option to choose our style of poke - spicy, kamakaze, and shoyu. We went with the spicy ahi on one half and kalua pig on the other half topped over the homemade nachos. The fish is fresh and melts in your mouth. They go to the fish market every other day. The only downside was that there was not enough nachos. Kehau's Kitchen is a small hole in the wall restaurant serving Hawaiian and Mexican food. Sit down at any table and you will be served good food!

First time there, friendly and welcoming staff. Wanted shoyu chicken and ordered the Ala carte, chicken is super good. Simple but made well, ginger shoyu sauce is mean, next time I'll get the plate and pour sauce over rice for sure

We found this place by accident and so glad we did. It's a family own restaurant with a homey feel. We had the poke kamikaze, and the pork sliders with the side of Mac and lumi. First time here, so pleased to have found this gem. we'll be back!

I felt hungry and wanted an early lunch before 11 and walked around Westridge Center and saw Kehau's Kitchen open. I was intrigued by the mix of Hawaiian and Mexican food. I decided to try their Hawaiian food this time around. I got the beef stew combo with pulehu chicken, lomi salmon, haupia and rice. The stew was on the watery side but I liked that it wasn't overly salty or sweet which bugs me about beef stew at other places. The lomi salmon was freshly made so I enjoyed the slight crunch of the onions. Once again that wasn't too salty either so that's a plus. The pulehu chicken was wrapped in foil which I thought was odd but it did help retain moisture and it wasn't dry. The haupia was great with good coconut flavor. Service was friendly and maybe 20 people max can sit down inside. I'm curious to try their Mexican food and a friend recommended their poke nachos after finding out I ate there.
