What a beautiful massive park!Sadly because of it's location which there's nothing like it for miles as it's in the middle of the rail project prominently painfully obvious in it's presence when it's already surrounded by industrial businesses with the neighboring airport having planes flying by.Don't get me wrong it's a massive beautiful kinda green park which I decided to take advantage of by having my lunch there since it was from a takeout only place and just wanted a meal with a view.At the entrance are some tennis courts with a small parking lot for it's players and as I drove further I see several building holding canoes and few others I'm not sure what it's for but as I got out and there are a few picnic benches it's all out in the blazing sun I decided to find some shade only to sit and crack open my lunch to have a swarm of flies non stop! Annoyed I went back in to my car with the a/c and ate. Not wanting to waste my decision to stop here I then went to explore a bit and no it's not our beautiful ocean and certainly not for swimming ewwww but more of a recreational park. Parking in the general area is difficult so if you're in need to park for any reason this is a great place though that's about it lol!!!Thank you!

Grew up around these parks. Lots of great memories. From a kid running around "Flag day" to a grown man drinking in the parking lot after work Lol...haven't been here in a while, kinda Sad to see it being neglected. If Patsi Mink Park can maintain such a huge area, they do the same here. Bathrooms look like it hasn't changed since the 90's. Then there's the rail line running through the park reminding us where all the money is going.

The park doesn't really have anything going on, other than it's by a port-like ocean. We stopped by here because of the pandemic, many mom and pop shops are only do take-out.This is a good spot to sit and eat while staring into the ocean, but other than that, there's really nothing to do. I saw a small playground but that didn't really appeal to me.

One of the first parks that I stopped by as soon as flew into Honolulu! From afar, it is super lush and green and the trees are gigantic with dangling flowers, flowing to the ground. I saw canoes everywhere and also nobody around at all. I came to dip my feet, wet my toes when a very friendly local drove up in a golf cart warned me that the water was pretty dirty and not an ideal swimming spot. He told me "Be Careful, Sister," and I loved how warm his approach was. The park is very secluded, it felt a little sketchy because of how crowded with cars it was in the parking lot, but not having anyone around and then there was loads of homeless people in the restrooms, as well as not being able to use an available restroom. I ended up picking up a Lyft back to the airport and there was a specific spot that I had to stand and wait for the Lyft ride.Overall, a nice park, with plenty parking and uber/lyft accessibility.

We only come here for the tennis courts to either watch or play a match. There is quite a few parking stalls and a decent amount of courts. Unfortunately there is no restroom and the air that blows usually smells like garbage. There is also very little shade to sit in/watch the matches. Other than that, it's got pretty nice courts that are all fenced off separately. It's pretty windy, but can't change that!

We came here for a couple of minutes for our boys to run around and release some energy. The field is huge! Trash cans and benches near the parking lot. No one was here so it was nice and peaceful for us. The grass is trimmed. The park appears to be well-maintained. There's some road work for the second other entrance from Nimitz. This field is popular for holding events such as sports or fundraisers. It's a large area for picnics or family gatherings. There can be improvements to the park such as more shaded areas and possibly more water fountains.

This was the location of our 2017 Making Strides Walk on behalf of the American Cancer Society.I was there representing Breast Cancer Hawaii and Young Survivors Wonder Women. The park provided easy access and parking for our large event. No homeless or feral cats were in view of our event location. Everything was safe and beautiful.

We've been coming here on and off for different reasons since I was a kid. It serves its purpose for water activities such as canoe races, gassy activities like baseball/softball practices and also has a pretty nice walking path. There are tennis courts near the entrance by the Lagoon Dr side and just a little more ways in they now have a newly built playground that says its specifically for kids ages 5 to 12. My 3 year old had no problem navigating it though so it's pretty safe with adult supervision.Other than these things mentioned, the park is pretty run down. The bathroom by the playground looks like it was set on fire and has since yet to be repaired or replaced, however there is a portable toilet available there. There are other bathrooms available but its further into the park. We usually just come here and eat our lunch in the cool ac of the car and look out at the ocean. There aren't many trees to provide shady areas and it can get pretty hot, so that's why we enjoy our lunch in the car then head out. There is plenty of parking while there aren't any events going on, but when there are events it can get pretty packed. Overall this is a good place for me to take my kid to play on the playground during early evening traffic hours to kill time and watch the sunset then hop on the freeway that's close by and hope traffic has eased up.
