Kawaii Things

Keeping Kapolei Kawaii...You can't help as the signage in Ka Makana Ali'i signs are much bigger and higher for you to see as this one definitely captures your attention with a cute bunny on ballon font signage on a building painted purple stopped me in my tracks...window decor not so much so but gosh when I walked in and see all the Sanrio characters that we love and get to see it all in one store is a dream.Everything from stationaries, totes and plushies the cuteness doesn't end there as there's Snoopy, Pokemon and even One Piece section in the back along with an actual character displayed there is really cool! Lots and lots of blind boxes many are $24+ is quite painful but is a unique item though I'm more a stickers kind of gal, my only dilemma is resisting all these cuteness to take home.Thank you!

An adorable eye catching shop filled with anime, Sanrio characters, plushies, stickers, collectibles and so much more. This store's name caught my attention. "Kawaii" in Japanese culture represents the quality of being cute, or items that are cute.It's a store filled top to bottom with kawaii items. Many are on the pricey side. I picked up a small box containing a Hello Kitty 50th anniversary blind box that was $19.99.This place also had Gachapon machines! I couldn't see how much it cost. The store had colorful displays and adorable plushies lining the walls. This place was pretty busy for a Sunday. Great for a special gift or birthday present. Overall: 4/5 stars

Shopping in Kapolei, Oahu, Hawaii...After lunch, my friend and I took a stroll around the shops and through the food court area across from The Cheesecake Factory at Ka Makana Ali'i. I stopped when I read the name of this store:Kawaii Things It caught my eye because the exterior wall was purple... AND... there's a white bunny on the name of the shop!!!I HAD to go inside...OMG...So many CUTE things! There were stickers, backpacks, stationary sets, pouches, notebooks, reusable bags, plushies, umbrellas, and more!My favorite characters were Miffy, Pikachu, Kuromi, Hello Kitty, and others! There's an anime corner - I wasn't familiar with the characters. Even the Instagram-worthy guy... I don't know who he is!When we were making the business page, the friendly, helpful, efficient staff and I weren't able to find categories of "stationary" or "gifts". There is a "flowers and gifts category", but that sounds like a florist which Kawaii Things is not.One fun thing about this shop... when you purchase something, you'll receive a token! Place the token in the slot; turn the knob; and receive a prize! We got a cute little yellow rubber duckie! Thank you!!!This is a FUN store!We'll be back soon!
