Kapahulu Shopping Center

Safeway is the cornerstone of Kapahulu Shopping Center. Parking is plentiful upstairs - above Safeway - as most people prefer to park on the street level. Chronic Tacos, Supercuts, Pita Pit, and Panda Express are among the dozen businesses that make up the center.

If you're staying in Waikiki, this is a solid shopping center to do your grocery shopping, get take-out and a cheap haircut. It's very clean and conveniently located right on Kapahulu Avenue.-Safeway takes up most of the retail space, with a Starbucks inside. In the mornings this Starbucks can get really busy and unfortunately they don't ever have enough staff. This Safeway has a really solid bakery and lots of grab and go food such as sushi, sandwiches and salad. -There's an AT&T retail store if something tragic happens to your phone (ex: it falls in the ocean).-A Fantastic Sam's where they once gave my son the most tragic haircut of his life. He never ever lets me forget how bad this haircut was...-Korean BBQ which is not necessarily the best I've ever had, but they give you big portions and tons of veggies for pretty cheap. One of their regular sized plate lunches feeds me and my three children for $13. Great for the beach or just when you're too lazy to cook!-Genki Sushi, I don't ever eat here but it's an option for cheap sushi.-Chronic Tacos if you're wanting Mexican food. Unfortunately most folks from the Mainland are disappointed with Mexican in Hawaii. I like their burritos though.-Panda Cuisine which my kids adore, but ironically they won't eat real Chinese food. They just love that orange chicken and chow mein!-GNC when you need to get your protein on. The parking lot can get really busy at peak hours such as right after work and on weekends, but there's a ramp that goes to an upstairs parking lot which is a solid option if you don't feel like waiting.

Safeway, starbucks, panda, genki, super cuts! Never a problem with parking.friendly people. Friendly staff. Always a good time here
