Wondering what the cleanest and most organized store in Chinatown is located?Yes, "Cleanliness and organization" are probably two words that are never associated with Chinatown, but it does exist at Kanjico! This store located in the Mini Mall of Chinatown Cultural Plaza, near Pho Huong Lan. It's your typical grocery store of a good variety of dry goods, frozen items, and etc. No produce here though. The prices are on par with other stores. They also have Chinese newspapers. I haven't seen anyone sell the World Journal newspaper since the two bookstores closed in the cultural plaza.Overall, a really nice store. Good variety of items , good prices, and found some unique items that I haven't seen elsewhere. Owner was friendly. I feel we need more reasons to go to the Chinatown Cultural Plaza, and Kanjico can be one of them!

Just a quick update, they moved inside the building next to the elevator, they offer the same kind of merchandise like what they carried before. We love to shop at this store and we love their frozen wonton.

A lot has changed in the last 3 years since Covid-19 hit our shores. I used to take my pops to Chinatown several times a week so he could get himself a Chinese newspaper, but ever since Covid-19 hit da 808, and retail businesses had to shut down, one thing that stopped coming to the islands was the newspaper........Chinese newspaper that is.On my recent adventures into Chinatown today, pops & I were attending a family luncheon and since we had a little time to kill, we decided to walk around the Chinese Cultural Plaza to see what stores were still surviving here.We dropped by one of my dad's regular stops where he used to buy his newspaper - "Chinatown Liquors", unfortunately they no longer bring in this product. From there, we went to the open market and walked around, and upon checking out a grocery stand, my dad has asked a lady that worked there if she knew where he could get a Chinese newspaper? She was very helpful & told my dad to go to the stage area, as behind the stage area is a store that carries the Chinese newspaper.Cool! So we headed towards the Chinese Cultural Plaza stage, and low and behold just behind the stage (on the right side) is a little store called - "Kanjico".Kanjico kinda reminds me of the Bo Wah store on Maunakea Street, as this store carries a little bit of everything as far as Chinese groceries go. The male clerk here was very friendly & helpful.Pops got his Chinese newspaper, and I was spyin' on da cracked seed. I guess in the near future I will have to come back here to pick up some cracked seed, and of course this will be a regular stop for my pops to pick up his Chinese newspaper. As I close out 2022, I wanna wish all my Yelp buddies a Happy New Years! May you find good fortune, good health, and good kine GRINDZ in the new year!!!See you folks in 2023!

If you love browsing supermarkets, Kanjico is a fun place to visit. There's a wide variety of items here including snacks, drinks, spices, dried noodles, etc. I appreciated how clean and organized the shop is. It's not the biggest store, but it's packed with heaps of interesting items. What's cool is the fact that they carry a small collection of Trader Joe's items! A major bonus is the parking situation; validated parking at Cultural Plaza.

New grocery store in cultural plaza! Went there for lunch 2 days ago and when we walked past the stage we were like wait something's different. Oh it's a new store! It's been vacant for a while glad to see that there's new tenants moving in. It's located right behind the stage, right across from Simply Sichuan. It's small and simple but clean and everything's organized. You can find snacks such as crackers, almond cakes, egg rolls, potato chips, etc. Besides snacks they also carry instant noodles and coffee, sauces and seasonings, Chinese herbal products. Now everything is 10 % off due to grand opening. The owner also gave us a free snack! How nice was that!

Well run, clean and nicely organized with a wide variety of Asian cooking spices and sauces as well as a plethora of other items. Kanjico is in the Chinese Cultural Plaza so the parking structure or meter parking on the street are easy! We always come because my wife orders some items from Taiwan or Hong Kong and we were called for pickup. The owner was so nice and playful with our 1 year old as she stumbled around the store wanting to touch and grab everything within reach. She got our baby interested/distracted in a small package that was colorful and then insisted she keep it. It was a spicy dried Lotus Root snack that I'm excited to try. I believe the owner is from Hong Kong and speaks Cantonese but also speaks Mandarin with my wife. She heard my broken Chinese in talking to my baby and joined in with Mandarin that sounded perfect to me. Overall, the store is well stocked for such a small place and the owner couldn't be any nicer. I will happily shuttle my wife and baby there anytime!

This little convenience market inside the cultural plaza is a GEM. The staff is friendly and they have a variety of items you can't find at other Chinatown grocery stores like spicy chili crisp or random other soup seasonings. They even have a small freezer section of different fish balls. Everything here is gold - think boutique shop of the best Chinese non perishable consumables out there. I learned that you can even add them on Line or WeChat to get the latest updates on what they are ordering and they will even kindly keep it in separate freezer for you until you pick it up. Now that is 5 star service.
