Always so delicious! Swung by for dinner. They're always lovely to me, in spite of being a table of one (not the case everywhere one eats). The Non-Vegetarian Thali is a FEAST. One of the best values and delicious meals on the island. BURSTING. In order it spicy and I'd say it's an Indian or Thai medium, if that helps. The baignan bartha is also delicious. So delicious that I ordered it and some chicken tikka for tomorrow. No worries about drowning; I'll be bobbing around in the water from being so full!!

Came with a group of 5 at around 6. Thankfully there wasn't a wait and we were able to sit down right away. Service was fast, and the food was great! Only thing I didn't like was that the servers would bus the tables and clear dirty tables to reset, half way go to deliver food and drinks. It might be a me thing, but I don't like when servers give me my drank while holding the top of the cup where I drink from. Everyone in my group said that was the only downside here.Huge tip. If there is no parking going two blocks up the road to Ali place. Parking was .75 cents an hour

We went here on our lunch break last week. All you need to know is this: Kamana's does Vindaloo like nobody else. It's the absolute best if you love a spicy sour dish. Vindaloo is already a spicy dish, so a "medium" spice level may be on the hotter side (which is what I prefer). Other than that, I've noticed that their spice levels are pretty mild compared to their competitors. I enjoy dining in at Kamana because the service is great, but they are generally always busy. If you are in the downtown area, Kamana's is must try.

Their vegetarian lunch special at $11.99 is a STEAL! Today was my first time at this restaurant and I got the saag paneer lunch special. And it had absolutely everything I wanted and craved and honestly I was stuffed to the gills after all that food. Aside from the main dish there was basmati rice, perfect buttery naan, yellow dal, and a curry with aloo and matar which just all *perfectly* hit the spot. There was something else spicy and sweet that I have no idea what it was but it also mixed in perfectly and just an all-around home run meal -- no, a grand slam!Service was excellent, they were super on it with the rhythm and refilling waters and everything, super duper nice too. The patrons at lunch were all smiles with the kind and attentive servers. It's a small cozy restaurant but oddly enough it never felt cramped, they had the space laid out perfectly in my opinion. Any empty tables (not many at lunchtime!) had upturned glasses atop a paper placemat with silverware set ready for the next customer. Will be back for a meat dish next time, pretty excited for that!

Kamana has some pretty good curry and all, especially for the price! The waitstaff is very kind and accommodating so I would definitely come back here when I'm in the area for lunchtime!

the parking is a nightmare (as to be expected since the restaurant is in bishop st) but other than that pretty good The time From ordering to reviving the food was very quick. Servers were nice enough. The naan is a good serving size for the price. I wish I could say the same about the rice Butter Chicken 10/10Lamb Tikki Masala 8/10Masala chai 3/10 not worth it lol

Food: excellent with all the fun dipping sauces that come with the lunch specials. I tried the vegetarian thali platter which is great for sharing but also a meal if you want to try a bit of everything. They didn't have the samosa chatt on their menu anymore. I really wanted to get that so maybe their new space on kapahulu has it. Ambiance: the space is small but cozy. It can get packed at lunch time so come early.Parking: there are some stalls outside on bishop street that if you are lucky would be the easiest place to park. The next cheapest place is Alii place off Alakea Street. The rates are good for lunch time $1.50 for 2 hours. But make sure you have cash for it. Also, don't recommend taking any large or nice vehicles because the parking is tight!

This is a spectacular little Indian place that looks humble but has spectacular food! Their samosas are the best I've had anywhere. And I eat Indian food in pretty much every city to which I travel. The prices are average for downtown Honolulu and the portion sizes are filling. The servers are friendly and efficient but there isn't a lot of seating room so we tend to get takeout. Definitely recommend.
