So please read the Photos I posted to read my full review. I wanted to write this review for a bit but I needed to wait as I wanted to give it time as I reported this school to the department of licensing. Basically my 3 children attended this school and I ended up having to pull them out. My full review couldn't fit so I attached them in the photos. All in all, I would not recommend this school to anyone and I will make sure I do everything I can to spread the word about my experiences here to everyone I know to help prevent any other babies to get hurt and neglected like mine did. They get paid to teach, help and protect our kids when we are at work and can't and we should be able to trust them which at this school we couldn't. I don't care if you cant afford anything else, anything and everything is better then this school.

My 3 year old son has been coming here since February, and we love it. The teachers are really nice and caring. The location is incredibly convenient (in our neighborhood!) and they seem to do a lot of fun activities, because every day my son is bursting at the seams to tell me all about it. There is good communication between staff and parents (as long as the parent is trying to communicate, anyway). I have no complaints about this place, and obviously I trust it enough to bring my child there daily!1/31 Review Challenge!

I came to pick up my god daughter (H) who is 4yrs old on Monday August 31st between 5:10-5:20pm. Remind you it's my first time picking her up from preschool and my information is on (H) record. I walked into the lobby area and within seconds an older female possibly caucasian asked if I was here to pick up (H) I said yes. Employee never asked my name or for I.D to check my information in the system. She was ready to get (H). So I told her this is my first time picking (H) up and she was embarrassed. I told her please don't do that again, to assume you knew me already when you don't. You should always ask the person picking up child for name and and I.D then check system. Ugh. She apologized but I wasn't feeling it.A good friend of mines has a 1 year old daughter her name is (A) her first day was thursday September 3rd, 2020. My friend said they picked up her daughter after work about 4ish and daughter had a bruise on her forehead. The teacher said she didn't notice anything. UghI understand theirs other kids and kids can be clumsy. The girl is 1 serious how tf they never see her fall or cry. Ugh. I told my friend to make a report and she said since this the first time she will let it slide but next time will make a complaint. She already took photos and will document it. If your child goes to this school make sure to check and recheck your child for bruises before leaving.

Very unprofessional. My daughter came home one day and told me they watched movies that day. Some of the teachers are great and others are rude and unprofessional. There is barely ever anyone at the front desk so anyone can just walk into the kids area.

I am an active duty military member living in the Kapolei-Makakilo area. This Kamaaina Kids preschool /childcare center is located in the Kalaeloa/Barbers Point Housing area. NAS Barbers Point was closed in 1999 but there is still military housing across the street from Kamaaina Kids, a Shoppette/Gas Station, and military treatment clinic in the area. My son has been going to Kamaaina Kids since September 2011 and we have been very pleased with this preschool/child care. He will turn six next year and then it is off to Kindergarten. We wanted a place that had friendly staff members, allowed for child socialization, and gave him the basic skills needed to get him ready for kindergarten. Kamaaina Kids has fit this purpose completely. We looked at other preschools in the area to include a more privatized school system but decided to keep our child in an environment that would put him on the public school pathway. I went to public school and am currently about to finish my Master's degree. I don't see anything wrong with public schools as long as parents are involved in their child's development at home. So, we decided against putting him on the private school pathway and are happy that we did. He is happy, we are happy, and it will be sad when he "graduates" and moves on to kindergarten as our experiences with the staff at Kamaaina Kids has been very pleasant. The setup at Kamaaina Kids is similar to the CDC centers that you may have seen at some military posts. The area is well secured with fences all around. It is a one story enclosed building, unlike some of the "open campus" type settings you see at other schools (which to me is less secure) . Students are tracked using a decent level of security and I have never seen them without at least two teachers with "eyes on" line of sight of them at all times. Thanks Kamaaina Kids!NOTE: Here is a link to the location of Kamaaina Kids in Barbers Point/Kalaeloa as the address is slightly off: http://goo.gl/maps/lYG51
