Shopping in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Hawaii...I didn't really know that this place was Kaimuki Shopping Center... It's a huge structure between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue that runs along Waialae Avenue. Times Supermarket is on the bottom level, and Longs, Cookie Corner, and the Hawaii State Employees Federal Credit Union are on the middle level. Those are the places that I see and know.I looked at the directory and saw that there are many offices on that top level that I never visit. Customers can use the stairs or elevator to navigate between levels.Free covered parking is on the bottom level. The middle level also has free parking, but the row furthest away from the building is reserved for employees. This is pretty good outdoor mall. I've gotten meals from several businesses such as Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27, Higoto, and Coco Bloom.I'll be back!

Free parking. Many shops here to enjoy. To name a few, there is CVS Longs Drugs, The Cookie Corner, Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, Restaurants, Kaimuki Dental Group, Times Supermarket, Higoto Japanese Eatery and so much more. Great value, service, and selection of products at Longs Drug and Times Supermarket. Yummy food options at the upstairs (Fairwood Drive Inn & Pho 27) and downstairs food service restaurants (Higoto and Coco Bloom). Take your pick of your bentos, musubis, sandwiches and more. At Kaimuki Shopping Center you can get your banking, grocery shopping and teeth cleaning done, all in one trip!

Growing up this was my shopping center...When Long's have it all along with the sales you know we grabbing the cart to fill it with all the necessities and wants and Kaimuki Shopping Center was the place to go.Not just Longs but shopping at Times and various vendors which many have come and go but they somehow seem to keep the shopping center filled and have little to no vacancy shows how much we adore and rely on this place that's give a great amount of parking space as well to service everyone that comes by for all their needs. On the second floor are more tenants one that I do visit is Beadazzle as a crafter they do have great choices of beads and supplies but the building itself has never changed and stands proud over the decades and a place I thankfully has been there for us all.Thank you!

This place packs a lot into a small space. The property takes up a whole block, with two levels of parking and a three story building whose backside fronts Waialae Avenue. The top floor mostly has medical offices - doctors, dentists, eye doctors, physical therapists, etc. There are elevators at both ends and restrooms at both ends too (keys needed). The second floor is mostly a large Longs. But there are also restaurants, a bank, and a tiny storefront Cookie Corner. (Oh, the scent of baking cookies as you pass by. . .) There is uncovered parking on this level and post office drop boxes.Downstairs, in the "basement," is an old but remodeled Times Supermarket. There's mostly covered but some uncovered parking here. There are also restaurants, a hair salon, and a fishing store. One day, I went to my eye doctor on the third floor for a follow-up visit. After that, I walked a few doors down to the dentist for my semi-annual cleaning. Then on the second floor I picked up some things at Longs. Final stop - Times. A great, efficient use of time. Why only four stars? While the place is technically accessible, only the accessible entrance is on the bottom floor, in front of Times. (This is if you're walking or have taken the bus.) If you walk in from 4th Street, watch out. I remember having to walk through the parking lot and the Times loading zone. (I may have missed a entrance with a door.) If you are standing with the door to Times in front of you, go to the right to use the elevator at that end. Going to the left, you run into the loading dock. One day not too long ago, I decided to take the bus home. I left Times and had to walk to 5th Street. There are stairs, which are difficult or impossible for me these days. I had to walk up the slope behind parked cars. There's a slim sidewalk in front of the cars, but at one point, a pole blocks the sidewalk, and you have to step off and back up. Unfortunately my knees don't really do that anymore.

This is a smallish 3 story shopping center but it has everything from credit unions and a bank, a Times grocery store, a good sized drugstore (Long's) a cookie corner, and loads of doctors, dentists, and an insurance office on the top floor. Good Chinese food too. There is a tiny public restroom upstairs. Check, check and check! The only issue I ever encounter is the parking lot is usually full during business hours. I just hang out and wait for someone to leave. The Long's Drugstore often has long lines at checkout/pharmacy as well so don't expect to get in and out too quickly. Yes there are even EV charging stations but I've never seen them occupied which is a shame with the cost of gas, and as we all need to conserve more and use less especially in Hawaii.

I grew up coming to this shopping center all the time.....Through the years, a few businesses have come & gone, but the two main anchor stores - Times Super Market & Longs Drugs have remained steadfast at this small shopping center. Not a whole lot of shops at the Kaimuki Shopping Center, but it has what I need, and the convenience factor is great for me. A few shops that are located at this small shopping center -1. Long's Drugs2. Times Super Market3. Cookie Corner4. Fantastic Sams5. American Savings Bank6. Hawaii State Federal Credit Union7. Hibiscus Korean BBQ8. J Hara Store (Gun, Ammo, Fishing Store)9. Fairwood Drive Inn / Hi Yip Restaurant10. Makoto Sushi & RollThey also have some doctors and dentist offices in the upper floors (sorry, don't know how many offices are there)Parking can be tight sometimes, as both upper & lower level parking can fill up quickly during prime time hours. There are a few free street parking spaces on 5th Ave., (by the back side of Sacred Hearts Academy).Overall, a nice small shopping center serving the Kaimuki/ Kapahulu neighborhood area.

Grew up here. This place is where I always had to be especially since my school was literally near the area. Quick stop for school supplies for projects always had to be here. If I wanted to hang out with classmates this was always a place someone would recommend. Overall this is childhood memories so I can't really talk bad about it at all.

#smalltownliving#hometownI've grown up in Kaimuki and still live in the area. Been around this place all my life and it always will be. Home is where the heart is, as they say, and the Kaimuki Shopping Center is certainly apart of it. I usually don't come here very often, but if you need an alternative place to do your shopping and dining, the Kaimuki shopping center can be the one to check out on any day of the week. It's definitely a place to hang out if you don't have any other place to be. Whether you love to shop or eat, this shopping center has a small, but limited variety of shops and eateries to quench your thirst. While 75% of the businesses here are offices on the 3rd floor, Times supermarket on the 1st, and of course, Longs Drug store on the 2nd, you can always find something you'd like here. Well, most of the time - at least. I've been coming to the Kaimuki Shopping Center ever since I was a little kid back in the 1980's. Very little has changed here, while there's usually very little business turnover here, you can always bet that Times Supermarket and Longs Drug store anchors this shopping center throughout the decades. It's a commercial hub of Kaimuki town for sure, that's been here over over 25 years and still here standing. The overall experience after many visits over my lifetime have been good. From small kid time to an adult, there have been subtle changes over the years, but it's always usually the same. Just got around to writing a review for it on yelp. Kaimuki Shopping Center is a small vestige of the commercial hub that binds Kaimuki town together, along with Market City shopping center just down the road. Kaimuki shopping center is located at 3221 Waialae Avenue in the heart of Kaimuki town, with McDonald's Palolo and the entrance to Palolo Valley nearby. Traffic in and out of this corridor can be frightful at times, but at least it's controlled and not that bad. Just try not to come during peak times and you should be alright. Most merchants here accept credit cards, which is always a good thing. Not sure about the businesses on the third floor, but I'd imagine so. If you are like me, public transit can be the answer to your traffic woes. Bus routes 1, 1L, 9, 14, come through here and stops off right in front of the shopping center on Waialae Avenue. I always lived for the Yummy's Korean Barbeque place back in the 1990's growing up, but I know they have redone the entire thing. Still there under a new name and management, I think. Also a favorite is the Cookie Corner, one of the mainstays at Kaimuki shopping center. Longs Drug Store is a daily favorite for those who need their fix here as well as getting their pharmaceutical needs filled here as well. Usually, for me, Kahala mall is the alternative mall, but Kaimuki shopping center is almost as far from home as Kahala Mall. Only thing about Kaimuki shopping center is that they don't have indoor theaters for feature films. For those of y'all who love to shop, Times Supermarket is your one stop shop here for your grocery needs. Plenty of parking underground though, as well as on the 2nd level too. 4 stars. From my childhood then to nostalgia, and just everyday needs recently, there's something for everyone here at the Kaimuki shopping center. There's American Savings Bank too on the second level. :)Support local!B

Parking is very limited here but if you go just after the senior rush which is about 9 or 10a then you'll find parking. Other than they parking, this littler shopping center had everything I need...bank, food shopping aka Times Supermarkets, Cookie Corner, restaurants and a convenience store aka Longs. It's located next to Sacred Hearts. And down the road from St Louis Drive Inn, and St Louis High School.

Forget about coming here during busy hours. Parking is very limited. A lot of the parking stalls are now reserved. If you don't mind circling around for a stall, you are forewarned. If you have to go to Times or Long's suggest that you come during non peak hours or go to another location
