Unique Hawaiian foodie experience [Kahuku HI]We found ourselves exploring the North Shore in Oahu. Nestled in the shadow of the historic Kahuku Sugar Mill, this place was once an active sugar plantation during the mid-19th century until it closed in 1971. This wasn't my first time here but it was for my hubby... this is where you'll find Giovanni's Shrimp Truck. It's a must-visit for seafood lovers although my hubby said he can whip up a mean shrimp scampi than Giovanni's LoL!I don't remember seeing this many of them during our visit in 2016. We found a miscellany of food trucks offering a variety of dishes from fresh seafood to Hawaiian specialties, Asian fusion, and onolicious desserts, there's something for every taste bud. There are plenty of shared picnic tables in an open-air atmosphere. Most trucks/vendors accept cards.Review #3584

I agree with Sunil R. from CA. It's a must to visit the Kahuku Sugar Mill entrance. I was here in February 2024. It's quite a bit more than just the entrance. My friends were hungry and stopped at Giovanni's Shrimp Truck and other nearby restaurants. As we were walking to the restroom, I saw a quaint fruit stand selling fresh fruits and candies. I told my friends that I have to get some fruits after eating those spicy food. I bought a bag of tangerine. OMG that was the most expensive fruit that I ever bought in my life. A little cutie cost $2 each, where I could have bought $3.99 a pound back in Waikiki. It's ok. just a tourist trap. I'll be back on my next trip to explore the real Kahuku Sugar Mill.

This is a cool spot with some great eateries and a must-visit if you are in the area. Stopped off here multiple times while on our visit and were thrilled with all the choices and great food.

This place is basically a collection of different types of food trucks. Too many to name here but the mix is eclectic. We tried the sugar cane drink (sugar daddah's) and Mikes huli chicken, and Ono Yo. There was also Seven brothers, a Brazilian truck, Giovanni's shrimp (which goes on the list to try), funnel cakes, Thai, and a bunch of others. I also saw a couple of brick and mortars stores and a bank, but mostly it is food trucks. Nicely laid out, it's a nice way to stroll and kill some time. Parking did not seem to be a problem and most of the food trucks have outside seating.

I love this place! We took a drive on the other side of North Shore with the intention of going to Mike's Huli Chicken and found this next to it. There were so many places to check out, including the market where we picked up gifts. We liked the fruit stand where we bought banana lumpia and a pork skewer. I would have picked up more fruit, but we had a lot of pineapple that day.The food trucks were impressive. If we had the appetite, we would have tried a lot more.We actually went back here after our hike the next day. If I ever get back to the North Shore again, this is definitely one of my stops!

Great place to stop on the way to north shore. Farmers market type atmosphere with a lot of different food trucks with similar local plate foods, deserts and breakfast foods. Also there are a few small market stores, gasoline station, and even a barber shop. Kind of a one stop shop for tourists. A lot of locals hit this place up too. Prices aren't too bad and you get a lot of food.

Ry's Poke Shack. Very good!! Lots of choices at this food truck park, but since you are in Hawaii you should try the Poke. We had Sweet Ginger and Garlic wave. I bet the others are good too, but I can't eat hot stuff due to digestion issues. Delicious!!

Worth the stop, but note this isn't a museum! This has some old machinery and gears but is not a full-on museum! The food makes up for it though.
