Kahala Mall

Neighborhood mall is so nice since it's indoors with covered parking. It's been around for such a long time! Evolved and just adapted getting better each year. Anchor store is Macy. Anchor entertainment is the theatre. The little boutique stores that feature local items are nice to shop. The Ross on the rooftop is great with the many bargains. Whole Foods is one of the best decisions as you can grocery shop at the end of your shopping excursion. Starbucks, gelato, musubi, açaí bowl, pizza, Korean bbq, candy stores...Sees and Diamondhead chocolate. This place has it all. Including manicure service!Great place to hangout and shop!

Hot tip: Kahala Mall is having their LAST 25% off Savings Pass of 2024, offering deals (off one, mostly regular priced, items) at participating stores, which is ending tomorrow! PASSES are FREE and can be FOUND right outside Candy Carousel! (Vendors hand write your one time discount use when you make a purchase.)You can identify participants by the tower of balloons at their entrances, along with signage. Have fun, I did a lot of shopping for everyone! Some stores closed at 8 and 9pm Saturday. Good times here at Kahala mall, famous carpet and scary stories heard of ghost woman seen in bathroom hallway near Sephora where you got mirrors. Merchants here are always changing but one thing stays same the atmosphere and non changing exterior of Kahala mall. You got Whole foods, longs and even Times for grocery shopping. Different food vendors like Starbucks, pizza hut, subway, panda express or restaurant California pizza kitchen, Chili's, Gomatei ramen. One of plus is indoor mall unlike Ala Moana and Ka makana Ali'i. Many seniors walking around and then have coffee/ snacks with friends. This is cute mall if you love nostalgic carpet and same old kind smell. If ever in need movie, check consolidated theaters for latest movies. Hawaii International film festival features some of the films that gets shown here.

GREAT Comfortable & small, don't expect much but adequate and just nice. I've lived on the Westside since I was born in '59. I now live on the Eastside. This will probably upset some but it's my opinion and I own it. In this age (2025), the level of youth behavior at PearlRidge seems....ah, idiotic and I find myself paying attention because I'm in the Wild, Wild, West and I need to have my wits about me. Not comfortable that side. But Kahala Mall is niiiice, mellow and there is a Whole Foods and a Macy's! Maybe they could improve the presence of the Security by increasing rounds. Yah, methinks we kinda lucky though.

Great area for walking and shopping! Well lit inside air conditioned mall. Area is being set up for Holiday Mom Made Market. Not very crowded on a Friday evening. Family friendly place to shop and play at. Big selection of local and Main stream department stores to shop. Macy's, Longs Drugs, See's Candy, Tori Richard's, Plus Interiors, The Face shop and so much more. Macy's is have a One Day Sale today! Dollar Days too! After shopping, you can eat at California Pizza Kitchen, The Counter or so many other places.

Why here and not so much Pearlridge, well because it's actually over to walk around at and to hang out even after hours. The mall has many different shops to look at. Different wings to go to. Not just one way and back. Not just restaurants and food. They have a variety of stores mixed all together. They do have the larger restaurants in certain areas tho. Otto accommodate the busy & large crowds. But it's not so dead like Pearlridge. It's opened and there are a few shops that stay open AFTER the mall closes. NOT PEARLRIDGE. Everyone's in a rush to close and leave work so quickly, it sad. I get if it's 10 or 11 at night. But it's only 7:30/8:00pm. There's still time for curfew. I mean curfew for kids are at 10pm. Anywho, I'd like to shop here more often. I think I miss the old days when PEOPLE mattered & not individually but as a community. Anywho, you folks should come a see it for yourself. But you CAN get lost because there are different ways to get into the mall and then they have different ases or sections of the mall that you have to cross the center to get to the other part of the mall from the outside. It can be confusing. Just so the mall map directory on your google to guide you to where you want to go.

Over all experience in this mall is 5 stars but I'm giving one star . I'm addressing this to the management , Due to a guard harassing me about my dog. Saying no dogs allowed . Young guard bearded face . Dark skin . My dog is a service dog. He had a service dog tag on his collar . Sometimes he's in a cart I carry him in. Was the guard too lazy or too stupid to look at the tag, who hired these incompetent guards who do nothing but push their weight around harassing customers. Seriously I'm a long time customer in this mall I don't have to deal with this type of thing. Seriously.please tell The guards to leave the Customers with pets alone. Enough of this is enough .

This past year I've been frequenting the Kahala Mall. Years ago (& to this day) it was to volunteer for the Healthy Baby Contest. They have the space to host those type of events, to include their annual Halloween Costume Party.Restrooms: Okay, you know those restrooms on the underground floor? I don't know about you but those mirrors that supposed to help you see who's around the corner kind of freaks me out. I get it why they're there, it just not my cup of tea. Other than that, the restrooms are usually clean everytime I visit.Parking: There's various parking surrounding the mall. You may have to park farther & walk a little bit more to get to wherever you need to go.Aesthetics: the Mall is a bit older so things such as the carpet looks a bit outdated. Theater: There is a movie theater to catch a movie, which is always a plu¹¹s for a mall to have.Restaurants/Stores: Many to choose from ranging from local to franchises.Other unique things: There's Whole Foods to do your grocery shopping.Overall: the mall's a great place to bring your family, shop, dine, watch movies.

I like this mall, it is retro feeling and un-intimidating in size unlike Ala Moana! Good selection of stores too.

Many stores to choose from at this fully occupied mall. There is ample parking including shaded spots in a garage.I like that birds are allowed in the mall. It is adorable to see them hopping around.You have to walk a long ways to get to the bathrooms.
