If you're looking for a venue to celebrate your special event look no further this is your sign to book with this family owned small business ! We celebrated my son's first birthday here, we wanted to make it extra special for him just like he makes every day special for us. Michele & Derek went above & beyond to make everything perfect, it's very easy to make an appointment to see the hall & meet them to go over everything. The place is easy to find with lots of parking, the venue itself is amazing you get what you pay for, you can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their work everything is very clean. The restroom is inside, diaper changing area, & a small vanity if you need to get ready. They had security which made everyone feel safer & Michelle always checked to see the party running smoothly a true professional. Everything is straight to the point they even had designate spaces for our vendors, their daughter also helps out she made our dessert look beautiful. They truly are a one stop shop if you don't want to go looking for your vendors they already have everything available which I love so you don't have to stress about anything. They pay really close attention to detail, everything was perfect! From helping set up to the end they have people cleaning including themselves, thank you again Michelle & Derek for opening this space so family's like mine can have an amazing time.

Booked Kabayan for my daughters first birthday here and it was the best thing ever!The hall is very clean and comes with everything.We also got the balloons and Photo Booth package which was perfect! Michelle also helped book a balloon twister and face painting person for me so that I didn't have to worry about it.Kabayan is top tier! If you compare the hall to other places, they aren't air conditioned which is a NEED for every party!So worth it! Will definitely recommend to everyone!

This is our 2nd time having an event at Kabayan Hall and we were definitely 100% SATISFIED. Derek and Michelle was easy to talk to and very sweet family along with their daughter, very honest, hard-working, professional, and family oriented. The staff was friendly and treated all of our guests with exceptional service. Our granddaughter just had her 1st birthday party at Kabayan Hall and we did the package. We told Michelle what the theme was and boom she created the most beautiful stage set up for our granddaughter. Our guests loved the setup and the venue. What was also special is we were the 1st to use their play area. The play area came in few days before our party and Derek, Michelle and their crews spent days and worked so hard to put the play area together so we could use it. Thank You Murakami Family for making our granddaughter 1st Birthday a memorable one. If you are looking for a one stop shop and stress free for your party...Kabayan Hall is the place to go. Heads up, a long and deserving review for KH. We just had our daughter's 1st birthday party here at Kabayan Hall and we are truly so blown away with the service we received. We had our son's first birthday DRIVE BY at kabayan Hall and we loved them so much that we HAD to come back for our daughter's 1st birthday and they did not disappoint! The venue- absolutely beautiful. Their simplicity and "clean look" makes the perfect canvas for ANY theme. The venue was very clean, including the bathrooms and kitchen. The venue holds a very good amount of people plus enough room for vendors as well! The owners, Michelle and Derek, are such amazing and genuine people. They truly went above and beyond to make sure our daughter had a memorable and beautiful first birthday. We took advantage of their "one stop shop" and Michelle took the lead and took care of EVERYTHING which is exactly what I wanted. I told her my vision of what I wanted and she exceeded it!We absolutely loved their new service, their kids soft play area! Highly recommend adding it to your package! It was the perfect addition to our party and I'm so happy that kabayan hall offers it exclusively to their clients! It was so clean and very colorful! The kids enjoyed being in there and there was so much to do! We also enjoyed their photobooth service. Their daughter who was the photobooth attendant was so sweet and spoke so kindly to all of our guests. We also loved that it was unlimited prints therefore our guests could all have a copy! I highly highly recommend KABAYAN HALL for your next celebration! They truly are the definition of a "stress free" and "one stop shop" party! I wanted my baby girl to have the most beautiful 1st birthday party that we could give her and the Kabayan Hall team truly made that happen for us and we are forever grateful! Had my lil brother's Grad Party here and it was a very good experience!!! It was back in June and been meaning to give a review but been kinda busy! Great Place for any kind of special occasions. Recommend to put down and reserve your time slot way ahead of time to make sure you get the day you want.Wish I had taken more pics of the setup! But the overall great experience

Well I may say that this may be the first and hopefully not the last time I'm making a party at this venue ahah. Amazing place to hold a celebration! The Kabayan Team is so nice and generous and loved the decoration that they've put out. I was surprised when they've given out certain decoration out and I thought it would just be balloons LOL. Overall, they've done a fantastic job and made my family & I so proud. Very memorable and loved. Thank you Michelle and Derrick! Much love!!

Pros: Beautiful venue, very clean & aesthetically pleasing, & the family who owns this venue were very nice (Especially their oldest daughter!)Cons: I felt like it was a little hard to enjoy the party at times because I felt like the owners were "hovering" to ensure all the rules were being followed & what not. However, My biggest issue was with the security guards. It's required to have them when you're allowing alcohol at the party. It was a man & woman at the time, who were just very rude to some my guests yet kept asking my aunty & uncles to make them plates of food & all that. Our party was awhile ago so maybe the security guards have changed since then.The only other thing is if you hire outdoor vendors, you only have from 3:30pm-5:00pm to setup, which wasn't enough time at all - for we had big balloon arches, balloon centerpieces, a live band, etc. Thankfully my family is super helpful & was able to assist all the vendors in whatever they needed. I don't know if the short time frame is supposed to encourage guests to book with the owner's decorative services?Overall though they're a small, local & family-owned business & I always hope those will thrive in Hawaii. So although I don't think I would ever book their again, it may be a great fit for other families.

Wow thats a lot of 1 star reviews all probably from the same party. I guess sh*t hit the fan that day lololol.Anyways i attended a party there and i helped with the set up and break down. It was a lunch party. The venue is a spacious place and its very nice. I would expect that much because i heard how expensive this place is. Parking is a bit small but luckily our party wasnt too big. And the restrooms were clean, but they only have 2 single stalls. They have more restrooms in the adjacent building, but you have to ask security to use it and it does appear to be in need of "work" especially after using the gamlourous single stalled toilets. The amenities were clean and the staff was pretty friendly. We didnt encounter any problems for the most part, but they staff didnt seem to go out of their way before the party started. Like i said i was not the host, but it just seemed that way. Everything was set up prior to the party though so i guess the staff didnt need to do much more. What i didn't care for too much was the kitchen. It was a bit small, but we made it work. The serving station area is also a bit small and your guest will get very crowded in the food area, especially with buffet style serving. They do provide entertainment packages like photobooths face painting, etc but they arent very skilled at their jobs. It is all done by the company and the staff didnt have a lot of training or artistic skills for that matter. Overall its a very nice place but way over priced.

Despite all the negative reviews of this place, I decided to give it chance & create my own opinion. I honestly was impressed with the fact that this place is a "one stop shop" & the owners practically take care of everything. But convince is not free right? A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I decided to walk the venue as we are planning our daughter's first birthday party. Got to the venue, and the owner Michelle was perfectly nice. Walked us through the whole venue, and tbh we LOVED it. It was clean, nice big space that could fit our loved ones. She let us know about the $1000 deposit to secure the date & that the rest of the amount is due 2 weeks prior to the event. So I let Michelle know, we will be in touch after we talk about our budget. A week goes by and we decided we wanted to throw her birthday there. I text Michelle to let her know, and she immediately calls me to text her the information of my event. But while she has me on the phone, she lets me know there is an additional $500 security deposit that is due with the remaining balance of my bill. I thought it was weird that she didn't tell me about this when I was first walking the venue. But it was refundable and I thought "well you pay a security deposit anywhere so I get it". A few days later, (at 230 am) she sends me over the invoice & contract. Now, if you're an ADULT you're not going to sign off on a contract without fully reading it, and asking questions on certain things on said contract. I had work that morning that she sent me the contract, so my boyfriend and I didn't get to fully read it together until that night. So the next morning, I reached out to her to speak about some things I had questions about the contract. (Some of the things on there are kinda outlandish, NGL) No response. I figured she's busy... it's been A WHOLE ASS WEEK. No response. I just don't understand how you can run your business like that? Sure I may have took a day to read the contract but you decide to not even a simple reply? "Oh I'm busy right now, but I can speak to you at this time". Just any communication would have been nice.. If you own a business, you shouldn't leave your clients hanging like that. I already had a sour taste in my mouth for not being transparent about ALL of the fees. also, wtf is this MINIMUM of 2 security per event and $250 PER GUARD. An extra $500 on top of the $5000 just to rent the space? I'm honestly not one to complain on yelp, but damn. All that money being spent by people here... all the money I was ABOUT to spend at this place. -$5000 for venue -$500 security -$500 security deposit (refundable IF they decide that you don't have excessive rubbish or your guest don't follow the rules) A lot of hidden rules in the contract that I was not very fond of. Of which, I would have been open minded about IF THERE WAS ANY COMMUNICATION. That being said - don't waste your time or your money. You can def find a cheaper option else where.
