Brand new playground area!

We had been eyeing this park for a while. Right down the road from us. Not many parks in Pearl city, so when I saw a brand new playground taped off I was super excited! A lot of the parks or play structures here in Hawaii are not only old but a lot of them are dirty and covered in graffiti. I was very surprised to see that even this play structure still being very new had some tagging on it as well. Nonetheless this park is right off Moanalua leaving pearl city going toward Aiea. It has a basketball court, baseball court and the new playground which my son loved! We're spoiled with beautiful parks in Las Vegas so I was happy to see this. I hope it stays nice and clean with no graffiti but I'm sure that's asking for a lot.Review 28/100 for 2017

thumbs up for the play structure but other than that, it's a no for us. Didn't feel safe at this park, very close to the road and was very noisy. Not a relaxing type of park. Lots of teenagers playing basketball & sometimes can get really loud and hear lots of profanity. Not something I want to hear after every word at a park trying to relax and watch my child play.

Overall, this park is barely worth it's existence. For one, it is too close to the main road those there's a lot of highway noise. Secondly, is seems homeless people hang out at the park, some graffiti, in the bathroom is pretty nasty. Not much more to say than that.

This is an unstaffed park. It has restrooms but no other facilities. Some of the information left by other reviewers is incorrect - there is no playground or baseball field. Street parking only. It's not very busy, mainly things like soccer practice in the afternoons, and this is generally done in the section closest to Kaahele, leaving ample space available for others to use.
