Came here to grab some quick dinner for the family. Portions were great for price, and food was delicious! I loved my katsu and teriyaki beef plate. Everyone in my family enjoyed what they ordered. My dad even said that it was one of the best meals he has had during our trip! I think that these plates would be a great option for a quick beach lunch or dinner.

So glad we found this hidden gem. My family and I were starved after many tourist activities and hubby was craving Hawaiian chicken teriyaki. Instead of going to the first place we saw, which was "L & L", I yelped and found "K and K" and the reviews were top notch. We split the 3 protein combo with garlic sprinkledrice, slaw and Mac salad. We chose Mochiko chicken (5/5) Garlic shrimp (5/5) and Chicken Teriyaki (5/5) Everything was so tasty and comforting ! Def stop by here prior or after Kailua beach! You will thank me later. Now I'm hungry wanting to eat here again while I write this as my mouth is salivating! The inside of restaurant is very laid back with boxes everywhere, kinda reminded me of a warehouse storage room but didn't bother us, but if you are HM, it may bother you. Lastly, not sure what they do to the rice but it's so tasty with garlic butter sprinkles, the texture reminds me of Japanese furikake, minus the seaweed and fish flakes.I have seen rice like this a couple times at food trucks & it pairs so well. . It's SO good and hits the spot! Honestly, I love this place more than Duke's! More bang for your buck! At Duke's restaurant, we had to wait a long time to get seated, we had to wait so long to get our food, and we had to wait so long to get our check. The kids were exhausted. Don't think I'll ever return to that Duke's in Waikiki ever again. Sometimes, grocery store poke bowls, food trucks, and random small restaurant "finds"hits home way better if you know what I mean. First timer, but instantly became a forever customer. The Mac salad is exactly what Mac salad is supposed to taste like. The meat is seasoned perfectly and soo delicious. My daughter also loved the cheeseburger and fries. We phone ordered when we were about 7-10 minutes away and by the time we got there our food was ready.It's a great local spot you have to try out. Parking is a little small, but you can just grab and go!

Was running errands in town and decided to look on Yelp for cheap lunch ideas. Came across this place and saw a lot of good reviews so I thought I'd give it a try.I ordered a bbq cheeseburger, and a combo plate (garlic fish and garlic chicken). In total it came to about $22BBQ CHEESEBURGER: my husband and I took a little bite of this before giving it to our kids to share for a snack, and we were surprised of how delicious and flavorful it was! I'd probably be back just for this lol. The meat is well cooked yet not dry, and the sauce inside is delicious.COMBO PLATE (GARLIC FISH AND GARLIC CHICKEN): when ordering this, I was thinking that the dishes would be cooked in a wet type of garlic sauce, but it was actually both deep fried with a garlic seasoning powder. Still both delicious :) this was able to feed 2 adults no problem (though, to be fair, I wasn't able to eat too much as eating fried food doesn't fare well with my stomach lol)The cashier was a really sweet older lady, and while this isn't a place to really sit down and eat, I definitely recommend this place for a cheap and filling lunch! We will definitely be back for that burger and to try other things as well.

After spending the day at Lanikai beach we decided to look for a nearby place to eat before heading back to Honolulu. This hole in the wall took us by surprise. Although the restaurant itself was a little run down and outdated, the food was delicious!We ordered the BBQ mixed plate (BBQ short rib, BBQ chicken, and teriyaki steak) and combo C (mahi mahi and shrimp w/ garlic sauce) It normally came with scallops but unfortunately they were out that day. The BBQ mixed place was pretty standard. The portion size was shareable. The BBQ short ribs were a little tough but the flavor was there. The standout between both orders was the seafood plate. The mahi mahi and shrimp were nicely seasoned, lightly fried, and not too salty. Wish there were more of the entrée though. If I find myself back in the area I would eat here again.

Super Yummy! A hole in a wall place! We had the Mixed Grill to share, it was made to order! Price very reasonable with the amount of meat provided, will definitely come back when we are in the area, highly recommend!

During my trip to Hawaii, I visited this spot a few times and was thoroughly impressed. The food was flavorful, and satisfying. The beef curry stood out with its rich, well-balanced flavor, and the beef was tender. The shortrib was also delicious, though a touch on the sweeter side. Picking up my order was seamless, making it an easy option for a tasty meal. I would definitely return on my next visit to enjoy more of their dishes!

I love hole-in-the-wall places and this place fit the bill. A few tables inside and outside, but so close to Kailua beach it's worth the short walk to enjoy the food with a view. I got the mochiko chicken plate lunch. A good size portion. The mochiko chicken was outstanding. A light, crispy, slightly sweet batter and perfectly cooked chicken. Service was fast. I'm definitely coming back to explore the rest of the menu.

Food was Ono but restaurant needs help clean wise. Being that a neighbor that's fancy it needs a refresh. Look menu is way too old, the light hardly can see the light on the menu. The ambiance is not there. It looks like some place in China town. Dirty and old. Don't get me wrong. The food is Ono and cheap.

The service was amazing. Very sweet lady was friendly and went above and beyond for me when I I lost my receipt and needed a new one. She was super helpful and kind. The food is amazing and has great flavor. I took my tennis team here to eat and they all said it was very tasty and they would come here again. Thank you K and K for a very delicious lunch!!
