Keep an eye out for this hole-in-the-wall noodle spot off of Kalākaua. There is a small parking lot with a few dedicated stalls up front making it super easy if it's not busy. Good thing all of the food came out as they were ready, since items like their fresh blanket noodles took longer to prepare (but def worth the wait). We started with their chicken wings which were lean on the meat but I think that made it easier to flash fry because they were so hot and crispy and still juicy! We also ordered their cucumber salad and eggplant salad-- I'd probably just go with the cucumber salad next time but both were good. For noodle dishes we went with the dan dan, ja jiang and the beef noodle soup but we subbed it for the blanket noodle for an extra $4. Hungry but also in the mood for karaoke? Come here!

Just off King Street, Joy Cup Noodles embodies the essence of a no-frills Chinese eatery. The décor is minimal, almost an afterthought, but that's easily overlooked when the focus shifts to the foodWe opted for the blanket noodles and the beef noodle dish. The noodles were exceptional--chewy in just the right way, suggesting they might be freshly made in-house. The blanket noodles, wide and slightly irregular, soaked up the savory sauce, making each bite deeply satisfying. The beef in the noodle dish was tender and flavorful, complemented by a broth rich with layers of spices and aromaticsThe flavors were robust, hitting all the notes you'd hope for in authentic Chinese cuisine. Both dishes left a lasting impression, the kind that makes you contemplate a second round even when you're fullService, however, was a mixed experience. The person taking orders seemed overwhelmed by the crowd, resulting in a rushed and curt interaction. It wasn't until the initial rush subsided that he became more approachable and attentiveDespite the service hiccup, Joy Cup Noodles delivers where it counts. If you're willing to navigate the peak-time chaos, the deeply flavorful dishes make it a worthwhile visit

We used to come here a ton under the previous owner Lulu, but we stopped coming after she left. We have been wanting to do karaoke here for the longest time but COVID got in the way but we finally did it this past week-- apparently they juuuuust got it set back up a couple weeks ago and it's a great deal-- free karaoke and BYOB and order their bomb food off the menu. The new owner is super nice and hooked us up all night, was a great time.

Very cute hidden restaurant that deserves more traction for their large portions, cheap eats, and extensive menu. Went in on a weekend evening and were the only ones visiting, received very sweet hands on service.Ordered soup dumplings that were buy one get one free in servings, filling the whole steam tray. Very good paired with the carrot dipping sauce on the side. Blanket noodles almost felt never ending with their giant size. Only dislike about this dish was the fact that it lacked meat and flavor, all that is included is a peanut like sauce with peanuts and veggies. Delicious but not too far fetched in terms of depth in the meal.

Joy Cup is the new iteration of Wah Kung Chinese restaurant, which was located in Mapunapuna. Michael, the owner, is starting from scratch. This location is a lot smaller than his previous restaurant. When we entered, he greeted us with a smile as we were just sitting down. "Long time no see" as he directed us to a larger table. He is basically a one man operation. As for the food, overall, what we ordered was good. There are a few differences in taste from the old restaurant. Thankful for us coming, he gave us a free vegetable dish and also surprised us with an ube ice cream dessert . Enjoy

Joy Cup Noodles is located on Kalakaua Ave. According to it's owner of nine years, business has been slow. Occasionally, tourists would dine, but hardly any locals. So the owner assumed we were from the mainland. The restaurant is a bit small but clean, lighted and air conditioned. Although they serve dim sum and many other dishes, we ordered noodle dishes. Jia jiang dan dan mein topped with a lot of meat sauce and a handful of roasted whole peanuts. The owner said they don't add any spicy sauce. We add our own to our liking which is the Sriracha or chili pepper sauce. This dish was really good. Cold sesame paste noodles with roasted whole peanuts. This had a good amount of sesame paste although I would like a little more sauce to stick onto the noodles. Because it is cold noodles, this was refreshing and perfect to eat on this very hot day. Beef brisket look fun. I didn't try this dish but the feedback was good. Would have better with a little more beef brisket and tendon. Blanket noodle. This dish was just that with a little bit of sauce. The noodles were wide and soft, so soft that they broke apart when grabbing it. Still yummy. Hong Kong milk tea. They serve hot or iced, the latter a dollar more. It's not as strong as the milk tea served in Hong Kong but still delicious. Watermelon wedges. Owner served us complimentary watermelon wedges! And they were good size pieces! Wow. Owner was very happy to chat with us and served us. There are two parking stalls outside their shop and more around the building. They are on the busy Kalakaua street so they can be easily missed.

This is a lowkey and casual restaurant with tasty Chinese food. Their menu consists of all the good Chinese food staples such as xiao long bao, many different styles and types of noodles, appetizers, special items, HK teas and coffee, etc. We ordered the xiao long bao because there's a promotion for buy one get one free of which ended up being 16 pieces. The soup in the xiao long baos was super flavorful and tasty. The skin was soft and perfect. It's one of the better ones that I've had in a while and it really hit the spot. We also got the dan dan noodles which wasn't the typical dan dan sauce that we know but it was really good. I was impressed by the food that we tried and will definitely come back next time to try their other items.

This place was so hard to find. I passed it before i saw it. Its off of the busy Kalakaua Ave and theres not much of a parking lot in front so its easy to miss. They only have 3-4 parking spots out front. Luckily for us there wasn't anyone there at the time so it was easy.Theres not much about the restaurant ambience that is appealing, this is as hole in the wall as it gets for me but boy do they make it up with their food. The buy one get one on the soup dumplings (18 total) was a great deal and such good quality! Each dumpling was oozing with soup and the meat itself was a tender, sweet and salty.Their dan dan noodles also were really well done. They have a unique take on it. Feels kinda homey with the roasted peanuts and the noodles that are slightly on the overcooked side. For me it just feels right.
